| I found this: "Mayhem Studios was closed in 2008. Vampire Hunters was completed by Austrian company Cmedia. Basically it is a sequel of Vampire Story (World). It includes also few parts of the original game but the engine is different and the graphics was completely redone." |

No, I bought the game regularly from the VampireHunters web and I am not payed for any add. I saw a preview in a local magazine few months ago and I know that the authors are from the same city as me (Vienna)  . I think that the information about canceled project in 2002 is false (or at least not related to this game) As I wrote, so far I like the Vampire Hunters and I am writing a walk-thought. That's it. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

OK decided to give it a try. I bought it directly from author's web www.vampirehunters.eu
My insights:
- Store and download is operated by fastspring. Download link was delivered almost immediately after my payment. Download was fast, installation non problematic.
- The game itself is pretty nice and my opinion is generally positive. Definitely it is a genre mixture of Adventure and Japan style RPGs with simplified rules. Game-play is compelling, graphic is nice. So my recommendation is: thumbs up for this game.
