What's limiting graphics isn't the GPU, it's the cost, time and manpower needed to make that superior looking gfx...

There is no ecomony of scale when it comes to modeling or texturing.

It's this but I think more so that PC games are all ported from consoles these days, so there's no real improvement since it was all written for 8 year old hardware.

They're talking about capability, not what the average PC sold to 60 year olds can do. That is a completely different market. Gamers have gaming PCs, not Dells.

Did you ever stop to ask why that is? Games are currently built for consoles. They don't come CLOSE to what a PC can do. Nobody is writing code for PC, so the top of the line is never seen until the next generation of consoles, and by then it's the last generation on PC, and nobody can really max out their hardware. Blame the distributors.

Louise is such a hilarious character. His dialogue was some of the best I've heard in a game. The voice actor did a tremendous job, too.

BOGT was awesome (apart from a terrible helicopter mission)

shhh, don't tell anyone....I still haven't plauyed BoGT on any of the 3 systems I own it on......played Lost once on pc, 2x on xbox, and haven't yet on ps3.

BoGT was SO much better. I didn't really like LatD. And when compared to Ballad, it was really quite abysmal. :\ Go play BoGT!

Not sure why there is even any question that there will be a PC version. I knew I'd be waiting for it when I first heard about GTA5. And it will be so fucking worth the wait.

I guarantee all the "dynamic" elements of the maps aren't so spectacular as they make them out to be in this video. 99% of it in BF3 was scripted, as this will be. The other 1% is small areas of buildings that are damageable, but no real-time deformation. I want some Red Faction 3-level shit.

Weird how their changelist page shows "9th November 2008" but the front page somehow says "2.5.0 13 Sep 2013 21:52". It makes sense that the changelist page is correct, since the previous version is two years prior. 2013 is not.

Also, is anyone actually playing this ever, anywhere in the world? O.o

Hah! Well, for me, as someone else already mentioned, it's so different, it looks like an ad or something at first. It's kind of disruptive to the normal flow of the site and makes it feel a little less quick and easy to scroll through a "bulleted list," as someone else described it.

I messed around with Firebug for a couple minutes and created this custom style on the Twitter embed. I don't know how easy or possible this would be from your CSS styles, or directly within the embed call, and you might have to use things like !important, but I think the current embed could benefit from such a restyling so it doesn't look out of place.
