Unless you want to be competitive. Your argument was just destroyed. Period. Goodbye.

Sorry ledhead, but my argument stands.

If you want to be competitive, then you must therefore want to make a purchase.

If being competitive is not something you're interested in, then making a purchase is similarly uninteresting to you.

This is all assuming that they are, in fact, making competitive items exclusively for purchase. This would, admittedly, be unfair. I don't mean to spoil the surprise or anything but...life is not fair.

So, in short, lick me.

This ought to be an entertaining thread featuring the best in whiny bitches.

Let me try to offer a preemptive argument: you do not have to make any purchase that you do not want to make. Period. Goodbye.

Blue wrote on Mar 11, 2010, 13:53:
In the case of Derek? No, it was truly a waste of time even sorting through his drivel.

That's not even remotely fair... he made some very interesting and informative posts along the way, and while it is true his volatile side showed through on more than one occasion, he generally clearly tried to avoid the *Derek Smart* *Derek Smart* *Derek Smart* bullshit that followed every mention of his name.

Blue: you reap what you sow. It's exactly that simple.

And I'm aware of (and factoring in) the occasional insightful posts authored by Derek that you're referencing: especially where game financing/economics are involved.

Not to mention his reputation completely precedes him, doesn't it? It's kinda like that old bridge builder joke. You can build a thousand bridges but if you suck one cock, they don't call you a bridge builder but a cocksucker. In Derek's case, perform a swap of bridges and cocks and you've got a fair representation of his useful/asinine post ratio.

Plus, that Quest Online page features Derek's phony PH.D bullshit and I'm sorry but that bothers me too.

You mean Sweet @$! Poker isn't one of those gamble-with-real-money-run-from-a-server-in-the-Caymans apps? I guess I didn't read too closely.

I don't know if it will win I hope it does, Hurt Locker is amazing at humanizing the Iraqis and the US soldiers.

I couldn't believe it when some US troops started posting crap about the movie, saying it wasn't realistic, right it was just a damn good movie. Of course it comes to light the complainers were part of the christian militia types in the military who have been running ruffshot over nonreligious and other religious faiths during, Torture Years.

What a bunch of bitches, Kathryn Bigelow kicks ass, ever seen Near Dark?

Nuf said. Karate

The word is roughshod. And I'm in agreement with you.

I dunno, while co-op is a nice feature, I really enjoyed Portal being a single player experience.

Me too. I'm kind of meh on the co-op... that doesn't strike me as appealing for a puzzle game, since you have play at the other person's pace. They're either going to be going too slow or too fast for you and making the whole thing frustrating.

The solution to this is so simple, it may have gone completely unnoticed: Don't play it in co-op mode.

Wow, was that ever easy!

Ideologically, I gravitate toward art myself. But mine and Stormsinger's position is the exception that proves the rule. Pick a random old guy on the street and chances are good that he watches Fox News regularly. Unless he's an artist himself, and even then his artistic verve may very well have gone bye-bye years ago.

As an old fart myself, I can say that the older you get, the greater value you place on commerce and, conversely, the less value you place on art. There's a reason old people complain about taxes and flock to the Republican party: it's a mindset that develops as you age.

And it's the same reason you youngsters post your complaints here on Blues about the "greedy corporations" and how evil it is to maximize profits by "designing for consoles" and the like. You haven't really made any money yet so you can't know that perspective.

So, 20 years from now, he'll regret having not sold his company.

They are similar in function, but have quite a few differences. If Archos made a device made a device with almost exactly the same hardware, it may be $150 less than the iPad. But $150 is worth it to me if it has slick and stable software and awesome 3rd party support.

Ooops, I didn't know about Archos or I would surely have mentioned them in my initial response.

Fixed that for you.

wha?????

you think that it stopped the game being a huge hit? because I assure you it had zero effect. Outside internet messgeboards, the game is a big hit and very profitable. hence the sequel. Shareholders don't give a fuck about people ranting on a forum. They look at the bottom line

Ahh, what the hell do you know?

I'll bet someone falls for this.

I'm wholly uninterested in any game that makes me install GFWL and log into an account each time I want to play.

Did that with GTA IV.

Never again. I'll go back and start over with Pong before I use GFWL.

You guys are obviously dealing with a moron if he couldn't figure that out.

You apparently believe that any opinion that you don't like is an attack.

No, but calling someone "dupe" is.

I won't dare deprive Wowbagger_TIP the delicious duty of reporting why you're wrong here but I will say that you are ignorant to an almost willful degree, sir. It's an attribute I've observed of many thinking Christians.
