Dear Lord, I'm typically level 20 after like 8 hours... How did you manage to slow your levelling that much? Did you use a mod?

| You acquitted a chainsaw, did you? So the chainsaw was charged with a crime but was later cleared, is that right? Very good, then. |

Minecraft is all I think about. While I'm at work, I'm thinking about playing. This entire weekend has been spent playing Minecraft. My ass aches. I can't believe I waited so long to play.
The game definitely feels like a thoroughly-fleshed out adventure game and it seems well-balanced. I just chopped up another dozen trees to spider-proof my compound. AGAIN. Little fuckers. I've got a pretty cool working farm: wheat, sugar, pumpkins, pigs, chickens, cows. Looking forward to finding melon seeds so I can add them as well.
I haven't visited any villages or mineshafts yet but I was able to make a compass and a clock. You wouldn't think a clock would be necessary but I'll be damned if it hasn't made all the difference in my productivity. |

I only found out which teams were playing just a couple days ago, that's how closely I follow football.
Aren't I just the coolest? |

After seeing this news story, reading the PC Gamer review, and watching one of the tutorials on the you tubes, I've been playing Minecraft non-stop since, even usurping Skyrim.
Since this story is dormant on the boards, no one will see this post unless they look at my profile, I realize. But I felt strongly about sharing.
Back at it... time to make obsidian with a bucket of water! |

"Wait. So, selling less means it's a better idea for shareholders?"
YES, actually! Why? Here is an example in the music industry. Metallica's "black album" when it was released was their highest selling album of all time. The next album, Load, was one of their worst. Many people regarded the Black Album as the turning point where Metallica "jumped the shark" and they have never come back from that.
What does this mean? It means that many times people will impulsively buy something based on their last experience with a similar product/brand. If AC/DC released a Jazz Fusion album, but simply called it AC/DC Kick Your Ass you would think it is going to be some more great rock n roll. Since you got "burned", assuming you didn't like the last album, going forward you would either never trust them again or just stop listening to them.
So selling less, now, in order to take a longer more solid approach over time is sometimes preferable. What's this about a jazz fusion release by AC/DC? I'm all over that shit! |

I'm in the minority here but, here goes...
I don't care about any Mass Effect game. It does not affect my life in any way so this news means nothing to me. They can sell it on punchcards for all I care.
That is all. |

Wow, what a totally superfluous message.
Thing is, Valve loses no matter what they do. 1) Respond with X and face wrath for responding with X. 2) Do not respond and face wrath for not responding. |

Ten weeks after release, 1.15 mio. 360, 0.8 mio. PS3, 0.2 mio PC (only retail, no Steam and other digital numbers), perhaps 3 Mio. units all together?
Not a failure, but nothing to write home about for a multiplattform release either. I guess Beth was expecting MUCH more. See now, THIS is the way to respond to a query. With a link. Thanks, Kaj. |

Do we know for certain that Rage tanked sales-wise? I'm not being douchey, I'm wondering if there's any better way to check such a thing other than going by your gut feeling. The PC port was totally effed and they walked away from it's release bloodied, no doubt about it but I suspect the console sales were strong-ish.
I just hope they've learned their lesson about getting their shit together before their next multi-platform launch. |
