I don't think the PS4 games will be $60. My guess is PS4 games $69.99 PS3 games $49.99 Doubt it. Sony proved to listen to developers, so I expect to see a much bigger variety of prices. Sony should have no interest in restricting their freedom in this aspect. They get their share and that's it. |

Oh right. Before Netflix manages to reach Germany it'll be crippled already. Yay! Those media right holders are really a pain in the ass. Why not make life more expensive and complicated. |

I already suggested to CEO Wester to delay this addon, as the break wouldn't be long enough to lead Real Oviedo from the Third League in Spain to the Champions League title in Football Manager 13. He understood my problem. |

What I thought after I heard this: My fault. Shouldn't have bought Borderlands 2.
Well, it doesn't change a lot. I'd have only bought a new Homeworld blindly if it'd come from Relic. So I'll just wait and observe.
I don't really expect Gearbox to achieve anything of value. And that expectation doesn't even base on the ACM or DNF experience. It's simply that they have no experience at all about creating games with depth. |

I remember hearing people gawk at how large and impossible to miss their booth was. Couldn't tell you a fucking thing about what the game is and I'm pretty sure I'm in a...beta?
It's third person...I think? And you run through a city or something, then they give you some MMO like mission to go kill some weird looking bugs...I think you have a gun...I...I'm not even sure what hte point of playing it is so I haven't been back after the first try.
So...hopefully they can work on telling people about WTF this game is. And I remember them for hiring Nathan Fillion, Wil Wheaton, and Felicia Day to play their game and spam "news" on Twitter. They lost me right there. |

I'd side any day with free opinion & speech option, but it seems that the majority prefers the alternative. What for do we communicate if we only want to hear what we like to hear? All you get that way is PR bullshit. The guy said something that made consumers extremely angry with the company. He then resigned, most likely because Microsoft used its freedom of speech to tell him to get lost.
Or, possibly, Microsoft never did it but his coworkers used their freedom of speech to tell him they did not trust his judgment and would never work well with him again.
In any case, this is a freedom of speech victory, not a loss. You're the one complaining that it was a freedom of speech that you don't want to hear. Remember, Microsoft isn't the government, so, actually, freedom of speech doesn't even come into play.
If you owned a business and your employees publicly used Twitter to piss off your customers you'd likely use your freedom of speech to tell them to fuck off and find a new job, too. You mean he managed to tell the truth that people are already online all the time? And he made some jokes with a guy he knew, in a way that is pretty common in standard memes? Shocking.
We always act as if people who made such acts, would be too dumb to register that Twitter is a public channel. But just maybe the media and its consumers are too dumb and biased to care to differ between standard personal nonsense and a public provocation that indeed aimed to piss off people.
Not only should people learn to consider what they should put on Twitter or not, people should also learn to evaluate what others put on Twitter.
If I "owned" MS I'd have 2 options: 1. Durango will be online only - Well, he was right. Deal with it. 2. Durango won't be online only - Listen friends, no harm done. Glad that you are always online to register it though.

It wouldn't surprise me if those guys from Square Enix with their projections, are also responsible that titles as Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are missing in SCEE's PSN store. Do they think that nobody would want to those, but zillions hunger for TR?
Embarrassing how companies waste such easy opportunities to make some cash. |

eRe4s3r wrote on Apr 9, 2013, 01:26: So why is Journey not out on Steam?
Sony isn't courting Indies, it is luring them in and trapping them. Maybe that will change with the PS4 and finally a proper CPU architecture that means MUCH MUCH easier porting.... we'll see. But as it is now, the broadest of Indy gaming is on PC. There is a difference if you court Indies to ease their access to your system or if you support a newcomer in the industry, with your money and time, to get them from nowhere to the GOTY within 3 games. When the developer was very happy with the deal they had, who are you to criticize it? |

How is Activision even remotely innovative? They are the most conservative, risk-averse publisher out there. Seriously, when was the last time they released an original IP? They just pump out CoD sequels, licensed games and Blizzard games. While I dislike Activision for milking their IPs as much as you do, you are partly wrong about the innovations. Ever heard about Skylanders?
It might not be your kind of thing, but it certainly was an innovation. And a successful one too. |

All that is required, is that Activision actually cares about its reputation. |
