The movement alone is takes awhile to learn, clamping to surfaces ect. Not to mention thinking in 3d. They added tutorials now which will help new ppl.
This game will grow into something great i believe. It did really need these maps which will help a lot.
Everyone should try it, it is something very different from anything else out there.
Well see, you're an idiot then, if you think Halo is 'just for little boys'. There is no depth in tactics or teamwork, it's a game of 'see person first, start shooting' and that's it.
But I wouldn't expect idiots to see past graphics. |

The requirements limited the community, but even moreso the super shallow and simple gameplay did. Most people (well, at least those who have been playing games for a while and don't limit themselves to a very narrow amount of games) found the game very boring even in beta.
There is a small amount of people that seemed to think the game had more to it than it did (I even heard one fool saying it had more depth than Halo), but that won't fool many people for long. |

It's true, but that's really part of what makes PC gaming.
PC gaming is the place in gaming where money = how good you do in an online game, unless you're a cheater.
I definitely prefer consoles for competitive online play, a much more level playing field, even if it isn't 100% level. |

| I always knew it'd be really bad when PC stopped getting the games PC gamers wanted, but I never imagined it'd be this bad. Hurry up and die, or make a recovery already, PC gaming. I can't stand the fanboys anymore! |

There already is an Earthworm Jim HD coming for XBLA and maybe PSN.
I'd love to see a new Descent, I think it would make perfect sense for today's dual analog controllers (in addition to PC). Basically now that console controllers can handle Descent they should make a new one. |

Is PC gaming dead yet? Yes. ftwAngel tweeted this 3 days ago: Pc gaming is dead as balls. PC gaming is technically more dead than balls. A ball might be made of the skin of an animal, while a PC is made of metal and other non-organic components.
Thus, PC gaming is dead and never was alive. |

True gamers own all the platforms. You're only hurting yourself. Who the fuck has time to play all the platforms? Seriously, unless you play games day in and day out, 1 platform is all you really need.
"true gamers" my ass. True gamers would just shrug if off anyways, as theres more to life than games. Besides, the way Dead Space is turning out, they are focusing on shooting this time around, my interest has dropped dramatically. The first one was good, but the direction they are taking the second one makes it seem like Resident Evil 5 in space. Resident Evil 5 sucked in case you didn't know. Uhhh, just about everyone in first world nations has the time. Maybe you dedicate yourself to playing every obscure PC title you can get your hands on instead of excellent titles like Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls, Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, Little Big Planet, Soul Calibur 4... Then again, maybe you care more about being a dumb fanboy than actually enjoying games?
Anyways, enjoy your sour grapes I guess, I'll be enjoying Dead Space 2.
BTW, someone who has the time to make over 1000 posts on a gaming forum has the time to own more than one gaming platform.

WinterMuteAu wrote on Feb 8, 2010, 22:50: god damned EA! The first game was great, I even rushed out to buy it on launch day, and I even got the free hard cover book as a bonus. no PC ? Dipshit suits. Why not just buy a 360 or PS3 then? If you don't already own one you're missing out on tons of incredible exclusive games anyways.
If you do already own one, the first game on PC was just a pure console port anyways, so you're not missing out on anything.
True gamers own all the platforms. You're only hurting yourself. |

I'm just glad PC gamers are finally learning to appreciate console-standard networking and graphics. Glad you guys finally came around.
^ There are many levels of depth to that reply.
Personally I do think learning to enjoy games for what they are is great, but I'm kind of surprised PC gamers aren't more disappointed with BFBC2 so far. |

Overon wrote on Jan 27, 2010, 19:14: What the hell is happening to PC gaming. It's devolving right before our eyes. I hope this is not a trend of things to come, no dedicated servers or no publicly released dedicated servers. It's madness, how can people accept this? Why do people accept this? Because they're blind to what's going on right in front of their eyes. You'll hear tons of people saying PC gaming is better than ever, that PC game sales are fine, and piracy is OK over and over. What they don't realize is they're killing the thing they're love, and they've almost succeeded in doing just that.
For all intents and purposes, what everyone loved about PC gaming IS DYING!. The only way this will get better is if people stop bullshitting around and start actually buying games.
You see someone gloating about pirating a PC game on a forum, don't let him rest. Better yet mods should be banning those fucks. Pirates are not your friends, and if you're pirating games now open your eyes and see the damage you're doing. |
