One really wonders what you hope to gain by posting in threads about RPGs telling everyone RPGs suck.

I'm on a quest to discover the reason why RPGs suck.

The frustration you summarize is exactly why RPGs as a video game genre fail. Games should be made for fun, challenge, and entertainment. RPGs are needlessly over-complicated in order to try to feel more real and immersive. Typically the result is that you become more disassociated or weighed down by the monotony or over-complexity. The more a game attempts to feel real the less fun it becomes. Real life is usually tedious and boring.

We need less RPGs and more skill based games. Some people prefer RPGs because they want to satisfy a deprived ego vs. getting a true challenge. It is getting harder to find a challenging game these days.

Everyone should get Beat Hazard.

Agreed. I picked it up during the sale and I'm having a ton of fun with it.

It takes a lot of skill to play. Be sure to play on Insane when you unlock it. The game gets super fun at that point.

They really need to stop making RTS games with 3D engines. 2D is superior in so many ways.

No one is forcing you to play them. You have freewill. Exercise it by playing games you DO like. Sheesh...

Are you refuting determinism and / or the notion of a prime mover?

News Comments > OnLive Latency Evaluation
27. Re: Seriously? Jul 9, 2010, 01:02 BobBob

It will be near impossible for OnLive to have games like this that require very fine and split second decisions and control:

It should be limited to slow turn-based or RPG style games that do not require much skill.

Your posts are boring but at least they're not tedious.

I'm just having a difficult time conveying my distaste for RPGs.
