Or they just look like they're moving really, really fast?

Well that's the thing though... You can't have them "look like" they're moving really fast because then they would be moving really fast. The timing for the players needs to match unless there is second or so of downtime while the initiating player resynchs. I think that what they are going for (evidenced by the LOS mention) is going to be like a slow/debuff spell for whatever's on your screen... Ugh, but that wouldn't work either because then other players not initiating bullet time would get the benefit as well.

Can't wrap my head around this.

There is a post from a Rockstar employee in the comments that says more details on MP bullet time are coming tomorrow.

The bullet-time initiating player might get a damage reduction, or better reaction times from his character, perhaps. It sounds VERY easy to unbalance in several directions. Could make the initiating player too powerful, or the enemies too weak...

All I can say is: I hope they don't charge for it. That would be ultimate scumbaggery.

I don't follow game awards, or award conventions, but any list without Call of Duty on it, is primo in my book.

Hey, you get to go on the raid to take down Osama Bin Laden. Do you get to shoot unarmed women and men like they did in real life?

I've actually seen civilians run into gunfire from the player, and get gunned down without any retort from anyone... so... >_>

I was also deterred a bit by the mark/execute system being carried over from SC:C, but it's kind of necessary. I don't like it either, but it has a place. If you get found out and the enemy calls reinforcements, it's not like you can just throw out a drone (in combat, it can and will get shot at), mark four of them, execute and repeat. You'll get pinned by suppressive fire, and have to scurry to make shots count. Not to mention reinforcements, including armored vehicles.

I'm just happy to see so many third person shooters this year. I love it. GR:FS is at the top, for me, though.

News Comments > Medal of Honor Warfighter in October; Preorder Bonuses
16. Re: Medal of Honor Warfighter in October; Preorder Bonuses Mar 7, 2012, 21:08 Rhett

That's a pretty shitty preorder bonus. Why would someone want to take content away from themselves with that bonus? Just like paying money for MP unlocks in Mass Effect 3... you're paying to deprive yourself of the "fun" (at times) grind for money in the MP.

I'd honestly be surprised if this wasn't bundled with some garbage beta invite or something, to try and boost sales after the last game.

Reminds me of Silent Storm. Love it. One of my most anticipated games this year. Was totally shocked to read about it a couple weeks back... didn't know this game even existed. I thought it was just the FPS X-COM.

I'm downloading the just leaked Mass Effect 3 Deluxe Edition because, well, fuck Origin. If it were on Steam, I'd buy it. I have over 400 games I've purchased on Steam, so pirating is not my typical M/O. I bought Battlefield 3 in stores, only to find out it still used Origin and still was a pain in the ass. I swore I'd never do it again, and I intend to stand by it. I don't agree with pirating, but EA has taken a step backwards and will suffer the same casualties as the movie and music industry: If you can't five your customers what and how they want it, they will find other ways to get it. Origin is an absolute deal breaker for me. If EA wanted my money they'd sell their game everywhere possible, especially the largest online Digital Distributor (Steam) instead of locking me into their network and tools. Clearly it's about control, and that, I won't give. I'm about 10% done, should be good to go by the time I get home. EA, please note, I'd have happily given you $60 for Mass Effect 3, if you weren't obsessed with competing with Steam, who was probably your best ally.

I'm all for anti-EA, because they are indeed scumbags at the bottom of the barrel, but this post seems like you're trying to justify piracy... when you're also playing their game. If you hate EA so much, don't even pirate it.

There are even people on the Bioware forum clamoring for the ability to "buy better endings." Yes, buying DLC to finish the game the way they want it to end. What the hell is this? Does EA/Bioware really need another excuse to cut up more of future games to sell parts as DLC?

... Back on topic, with less rage:

I'm looking forward to hearing more about it. This is kind of what console gamers need, to get out of that buy-god-awful-shit-at-$60-and-be-thankful rut. Put 'em through one good Steam sale, and they'll see.

It looks good for a Generals mod. Not like he just slapped a bunch of new units with poor models in. Kind of a weird setting, but it still looks awesome.

Wow, how 1998 of you(hint: Rainbow 6). Fucking FPS games are so goddamned awful these days

Wow, that's hilarious. Fuckin' people with their short attention spans, and their Call of Duty. Can you believe that standing still and aiming down a sniper rifle's scope is now dubbed "hardscoping" (followed by various slurs) by these people?

Despite the "over the top" nature of the trailer (in a bad way), it's still an insta-buy, with how much time I poured into the first game. Hopefully there aren't just 5-8 guns that dwarf everything else this time around, though. And more item properties. That was kind of lacking in #1.

I want more stats!

Wow. I'd say "almost depressing," but ... it is depressingly sad. Quality looks borderline shoddy. Additional views are just the same pictures...

Same people who buy this, probably bought Call of Duty Elite.

When I was a kid, my brother had Syndicate on floppy disks... but I could never get it to run. I'm very curious to finally try it out on GoG.

Also, might try the 360 demo... but I'm in no way looking forward to the game itself. =|
