| Also glad to see Amnesia selling well. I've been trying to drum up peoples' interest in this game since they official named it Amnesia last year. |

| So anyone with the DLC - is it completely separate? When you fire up the game is Jimmy's Vendetta is a different option from the main menu or are the missions accessed from within the normal single player campaign? |

They're good games on their own, probably best to experience before Amnesia simply because Amnesia will have some improvements on gameplay that would otherwise seem a little frustrating if you were to experience Penumbra after Amnesia.
If you do get the Penumbra games, and I highly recommend them, don't try to fight anything aside from maybe a spider or two. Combat was made akward and difficult on purpose. The point is to run, hide, and use stealth. Also, the third Penumbra game is not a continuity of the first two - it's just a giant where's waldo type game with some minor Portal-esque gameplay elements. |

| Nvidia is trying pretty hard to sell off their GF100 (gtx465, 470, 480) based stock with this promotion as well as several other promotions and mail in rebates. I suspect the 384 shaders gf104 release is imminent, and the respin/refresh to GF100 is not far off. |

| This game is linear like Doom 3 with atmosphere like late-game stalker. Graphically it's outstanding (and demanding). The game already had a 50% off steam sale ($25) and it was also on sale from THQ's website at one point for $15. |

I am more apt to buy single player games when the developers focuses solely on the single player experience. It's a good move for this type of game to focus on the single player experience.
I'd still love to see a prequel to Bioshock, taking place right as the city starts to erode. |

For Nvidia users wanting to go with medium/high physx settings.
I have confirmed that without a simple fix the game will offload gpu-accelerated physx effects onto the CPU.
You must uninstall your current physx version, then under C: \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\mafia ii - public demo\3rd, install the version of physx there.
On my gtx260 216, with physx on medium, my average frame rate went up from 23 to 30 by doing this. |
