I'm that tool, and I stand by my remarks. If Satan himself were to commission a soundtrack for Hell, Portishead would be dismissed as, "too extreme." Desonant lyrical nails-on-chalkboard along with the sensation of steel dragging on my front teeth would be more appealing.

IMO.

I dunno maybe they think they need to sexy it up and are using Michael Bay's style of Transformers for a model. *cringe*

And Sepia! Lots and lots of SEPIA!

(MS bought FASA, and thus, owns Mechwarrior, no?)

At 1:19? Pretty sure that was some sort of homing gun...

To me it appeared more like a trajectory line but, still, it's not Syndicate.

It looked like a tag and shoot.

With the tracers, it sure gave it an interesting effect.

But yeah, that soundtrack has to go. Annoying. Not as annoying a Portishead, but damn close.

My only real disappointment with this game has been the "four button ending." I'd have rather seen the choices you made as a player drive the end of the game rather than buttons. As it is, you get the achievement for simply saving the game, and reloading it to press the other buttons three times.

Kinda OT, but I just remembered Rage hits shelves next Tuesday.

I hope Valve has a very early pre-load; 20+gigs is going to border on the rediculous...but I still can't wait.

The continuing saga of Eidos Montreal losing all the goodwill they earned by not making something as bad or worst than DX2.

I don't think I'd go THAT far. Additionally, they aren't doing anything Bethesda didn't do late last week (i.e. making all the pre-order exclusives available to everyone for under $5).

The whole currency/Praxis thing has me split down the middle. I agree that money and upgrades were relatively easy to come by, but I found it utterly hilarious that Sarif's head of security had to resort to stealing money from Hobos and robbing homes to buy Praxis kits.

God, can you quit it with your expensive Bay Area food analogies??

(Actually, I lived there for a long time till just recently, so I found that somewhat amusing)

Pretty sure Starbucks is nation-wide...

(and I'm pretty sure I only used the Bay Area lunch analogy once).

"That was the best $4 I ever spent!"

How is this horse armour? These are actually useful items to ave early in the game. You're getting all the perks of the Gamestop and Amazon versions, with the reward of the Steam TF2 items for practically nothing. Hell, a Latte at Starbucks cost more.

Court cases set precedents. If a person/entity wants to put their money into something that may change laws and rules for the better then that is their choice and a worthy expenditure. Not all human betterment comes from medical research or feeding a starving child. The 'principle' is that we'll all be better off if a company can't litigate over nebulous words/terms.

I think you missed my point.

That was venomhed's point, got your alt's mixed up?

Probably. Wouldn't be the first time. Heh.

I think I'll try and sort this out over a nice frosty glass of Scroll-a-Cola.

and then everyone would be saying, but what about L.A. Noire!!!

I don't know what the hangup is on RDR, more Microsoft stuffing money in developers pockets to keep it on consoles?

Pretty sure I remember Rockstar saying that they "had no plans" to bring RDR to the PC.

I think you mean "The Celestial Steed", but I get what you mean; however, IMO, both of these together are far cheaper...and far more useful in FNV than that horse was in WOW.

Call me crazy, but I think over-saturation greatly damaged the brand, more than anything else. When you're at XIV it's time to stop, and work on something new.

When each subsequent game of that company's main franchise, minus XIV, seems to outsell the previous, how would you explain that it's time to do something new to their shareholders?

FINAL Final Fantasy: This Time We Really Mean It *

And this is what is wrong with our legal system: One idiot that thinks he owns rights to a single word; another idiot that is too proud to just pick a new name.

Look, I get it. Bethesda is concerned because the new Elder Scrolls game is coming out in November. But everyone just calls it Skyrim (not Scrolls).

And Yes, I understand Notch is fighting a principle, but dammit man, if you want to piss money down a well, why not do something constructive with it and donate it to a charitable cause instead? You know, like Leukemia research?

They are BOTH idiots.

Into the Fire, the Babylon 5 Space Combat Sim. It died in IP hell. And while I loved working on it, it was a sobering experience with how the game industry works, or, rather, doesn't.

The events featured in Exposure: Gaddafi and the IRA were genuine but it would appear that during the editing process the correct clip of the 1988 incident was not selected and other footage was mistakenly included in the film by producers. This was an unfortunate case of human error for which we apologise." They say ITV claims to hold actual video of the attack, and plan on replacing the game footage in the documentary.

Because using the staged live action actual historical footage would have been too damn expensive.

Releasing the mod tools would be a colossal undertaking for them, also due to the complexity of the game engine used you would never be able to figure out how it all works.

Complicated?

It cant be more complicated than writing a mod for Doom3. And id made *zero* docs for qeR: that was all community-based.
