It's just how this always works out. |

avianflu wrote on Apr 16, 2012, 16:21: the bottomline is that the draconian threat of "perma account banning" makes game consumers less likely to ever post in the related forum. Not worth the risk to one's paid-for game library. And I'm sure EA's perfectly fine with that. Once they have your money, they don't give a fuck.
Back when Origin was still the EA Downloader, I bought Battlefield 2142 on it. I played that game for two weeks straight until I went to log in one day, and it said I had an invalid CD key. I tried their support email, and even called their support hotline on the phone, with no results. It was always some other department's problem.
I wasn't able to play the game I paid 45.00 for for nearly two years until Dice put out that last patch for it that removed the DRM. By that time I didn't give a shit about Battlefield, Dice, or EA.
They straight up ripped me off. |

If that means I never play BF3 or ME3, then so be it. From what I've read, I'm not missing anything worth worrying about. |

Secondly the designs are not even close to similar. Someone has gotten a bit too high. 3 options here for this guy:
1. Cognitive disability which makes it hard to visualize objects. 2. Just Trollin' 3. The guy that passed these models off as original. |

He has said that he's going for plain polygons with no textures, as the "style" of the game, so it's fair to criticize that aspect. If he was worried about people criticizing alpha quality screen shots, he wouldn't be posting them online...
Personally I'm going to have fun watching this. Maybe not for the same reasons as everyone else, but it will be amusing to see how this plays out. (I don't expect much) |

I've also had no problems with this game on my ATI card. Using the very latest non-beta driver.
Great game. It's great to see the re-awakening that has been happening lately. It turns out those games we all loved in the late 90's were actually fun. Thank goodness for the indie gaming scene. The best titles are coming from the small shops these days. |

| I guess I'll be waiting for awhile to play Borderlands 2, if I play it at all now. Zero Day DLC that adds a new class is where I draw the line. If it is really a "day one purchase incentive" on top of being Zero Day DLC, then I won't be buying this game at all. |

"it killed a lot of great independent developers"
Yeah just ask Valve. What a crock of shit. In hindsight that statement is even more idiotic than when he first made it, when you look at the indie game scene on PC compared to consoles. People have literally gotten rich off of PC gamers in the time after he spouted off this nonsense. |

| Judging by the reaction here, I'd say spending the last five years insulting the customers that helped build their company, wasn't the best strategy for them. |
