Best part about RollinThunr posts is he is more than willing to play the victim while accusing everyone of the same behavior.

Lulz! Perfectly said. It just makes you want to break out the world's tiniest violin for him, doesn't it?

Says the guy who runs from threads after one post 9 out of 10 times. Why don't you people just admit you're beta and move on. We know already.

If your opinion involved the word "fembot" its almost absolutely bad. Especially if it whines about being belittled.

Try watching the video before saying that. She comes off like a typical man hating feminazi like the majority of them are.

Protip: no matter how many times liberals say there's a war on women it doesn't make it true.

Hmmm.. interesting. To me, the article reads like Vivendi is having debt issues and is looking for a quick fix by selling Act./Bliz. It would be interesting to know "what's really going on." I really do think Blizzard will continue to be a cash cow for years to come.

They've been looking to offload the games division for a while now. I'd imagine it may even go back prior to the activision acquisition and the folding of the Sierra brand, remember Vivendi has owned Blizzard for a while now.

Vivendi has said it want to sell Activision/Blizzard? Got a link? I'd find that surprising with as much money as WoW continues to pull in.

I found it surprising myself, but here's a recent link on the topic.

Complete failure in project management, the status quo @ Blizzard Entertainment. No wonder Vivendi wants to sell Activision Blizzard. I'm sure their bean counters are enjoying watching Blizzard continually waste money for the sake of it.

Seeing as gubments regularly tap into ISPs what makes you think the Shixbox One will be any different? In fact, it's a wet dream come true! Infrared camera and mic that can't be blocked apart from unplugging the unit entirely? You couldn't pay me to own one of those things.

With your support of big brother I'm surprised you haven't preordered 10 of them.

Well since global warming is a a big political issue

No, actually, it's a scientific issue, and you're obviously not a climatologist, so what you think or feel about it is completely irrelevant. Same goes for an economist at Forbes.

Totally untrue. Because it affects all of us, people's action or in action will have a direct impact on us - it already does. And the only way to change anything for the better is politics.

Equating politics with "change for the better" is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. How naive does one have to be to believe that for a second?

It must be fascinating to ignore reality and pretend that big daddy government gives a fuck about you and be willing to give up your freedoms one at a time because muh feelings and muh tolerance.

What all you global warming, carbon tax advocates fail to understand and pretend doesn't exist is the earth goes through periods of warming and cooling, we're currently going though a warming period. This happens automatically without any help from us.

Are there things we can do to reduce our emissions? Sure, but using corn for gas and MGO's in food is pretty much exactly the WRONG way to go about it. All it does is drive the price up for both food and fuel.

Who the hell would hire someone like that? It never ceases to amaze me. Fucking suits basically destroy a company while getting paid an obscene amount, walk out with a golden parachute, and move on to do it somewhere else. Meanwhile, most people are lucky if they can hold on to their job for the slightest infraction. Tell me again how we're free?

I know you're probably just doing more of your usual hit and run ranting and don't want an actual discussion, but for the benefit of other people:

In the absence of any hard information showing incompetence or malfeasance, you can pretty safely assume that sudden CEO departures are the results of internal pressure from shareholders and other insiders looking for someone to blame. CEOs are scapegoated like a motherfucker in the corporate world, and more than any other consumers, gamers love to play along.

So, to answer your question, "Who the hell would hire someone like that?" People who know how the game is played and have been in this guys shoes before. I haven't seen any reports that this guy was incompetent or did anything shady while at Square Enix. The further you get up the corporate ladder, the more likely you are to be canned for politics, rather than for cause. People get their golden parachutes because while a company may have to get rid of you to shut some whiners up, they aren't going to punish you when they know full well you're just being railroaded.

Hell, even minimum wage slaves can tell you about times they've seen perfectly competent co-workers fired just because the manager or owner didn't like them.

You have to understand progressives like cutter and beamer. To them big business is evil, yet big daddy government is awesome. They don't live in actual reality just their liberal utopia of MUH FEELINGS and MUH TOLERANCE while being about as intolerant as they can be to anyone who doesn't share their views.

Anything sad about Atari makes me feel sad. The gamer in me really treasures Atari and what they have done for all of us. Get well Atari!

Only so far as the golden era of video games is concerned, even then they were acting like a bunch of assholes.

I am not familiar with the politics. I just have fond memories of going into the arcade and playing Tempest (my favorite game of all time) for hours. A simple and cute era.

To be honest Atari Games was the Coin Op division and a completely separate entity. I miss that golden age of uprights and pinball.

You are right, but it was unthinkable not too long ago. Now you can see a way it could happen and if they don't hit some homers it's going to. They aren't too big to fail.

Nothing is too big to fail. Shame the US government doesn't get that. I actually agree though, completely abandoning PC gaming is only going to hurt MS. I think it's fairly safe to call Win8 on a desktop a failure already, and who in their right mind wants to buy a console that you have to pay extra to even play a legally bought used game? Sorry MS my 360 hasn't been even powered on in 2+ years, you can keep it, I'll stick with Sony for another round if the DRM isn't horrid, and my PC thanks.

B) A kid throws a baseball, 3 strikes, takes out the batter. You just copied that guy you saw on TV! You are so fake! You do not deserve any sort of praise. I cannot believe anyone would cheer you on!

Which person are you?

he's neither, because none of those situations let the person turn the story around to have themselves as the main part of the conversation, and then get to bleat on about it for 10 posts.

Close, but don't forget to get all jealous rage and sensitive about it too.

You're the only one raging here.
Probably because I'm better than you and you're some nerd that's never left his basement and whose only contribution to the world is a bunch of crusty socks.

Holy shit, thats fucking impressive (battery charge story). I seriously hope nothing bad happens to that girl and that the device makes it to the market and into batteries of all sorts (including electric cars).

It's not news. It's a minor variation of existing technology. It's only making headlines because she's 18, not because it did anything new or unexpected.

Seriously, supercapacitors have been around for 60 years. She just made one and used it to power an LED. Industrial labs were doing that a decade ago.

So then why don't we have supercapacitors already in cell phones that won't destroy the innards? If this girl found a way to do so that allows cell phones to charge instantly and last for hours, it certainly is big news.

she didn't. She applied existing technology to power an led for a few seconds. That's quite far from powering a cellphone.

Right and if she can adapt it so that it works on cell phones without frying them, that'd be a pretty huge breakthrough.
