Please fill out this survey so I can call you a liar because I can't comprehend why anyone would want to willingly contribute to the betterment of a society other than an inexperienced child.

Seph when you get out into the real world and realize you have to work for things, they aren't just handed to you on the backs of others, and they SHOULDN'T be, maybe you'll gain some wisdom as to how the world actually is.

It's nice to dream about this magical utopia that you think socialism would somehow bring about, without realizing that someone has to pay for it all. Reality has a habit of smacking you upside the head eventually. You'll get there someday I'm sure.

So is this the thread where if you dare deviate from the binary thinking that fits neatly into (pick one) LIBERAL/CONSERVATIVE you get labeled as a (pick the other one) CONSERVATIVE/LIBERAL?

A spade is a spade Prez, if you could honestly tell me with a straight face, given Beamer's history that he's not a liberal since he pretty much is the walking DNC playbook 100% of the time then well that's your problem.

I think there are a lot of execution problems with Obamacare and I'd like to see part of the funding shortfall made up through concessions to avoid increasing the debt but I do like several aspects of it. Health care costs have been steadily rising anyway and I think we're getting some artificial increases from parties who feel threatened as PR ammo. I'm not opposed to it on principle though, I think the government has a vested interest in a healthy and functional society and I've had family members who were screwed out of health care due to profiteering from corporations.

Full time jobs have been on the decline for awhile in my state but we're still in post recession recovery for the next 3-5 years and I suspect if I go look at historical figures I'd see a correlation. Everyone is going through it here except construction, even the government sector with education in particular getting hit pretty hard. Looking at the job sector figures in CT it seems much the same, still midway through recession job recovery at 61500 of 135000 jobs.

There's a lot of bold faced lies along with the execution problems. When even liberal media is starting to point it out you know Obama has a problem.

No need, beamer knows what he does, when he can't come back with something he either blocks people or just talks out of his ass. I remember the thread, he refused to answer D-rock's question, took him out of context, then took his ball and ran as usual.

No one gives a shit if he's gay, that's his choice, it has zero relevance on the topic of this failure of a healthcare bill.

That even MSNBC, the most liberal station on the planet is now giving this administration shit over it says it all.

Hey, smart pants, when did I ever say I was gay?
D-Rock's didn't ask me a question, he tried to imply I was gay as an insult. When called out on it, he backpedaled and tried to pretend he thought I actually was gay.

So how would I possibly respond to someone saying "did you tell them you were gay" as an insult? The only thing that could possibly follow that is a "no, but I told them your mom was" comment.

There's no point in being so childish. But, again, shows how strong your comprehension is.

And, hell, you never responded to me pointing out that over 90% of small business owners aren't being "crushed" by Obamacare. You instead went into a rant about it costing 7% more on average. Who cares? It's raising it 7% on people currently paying reasonable fees (e.g., not small business owners), and dropping it considerably for people not paying small fees (e.g., small business owners.) Never once did I say Obamacare was going to lower costs for everyone, but you respond to that strawman argument rather than the one that was actually made: that small business owners (and employees) are better off with this. And that the country is better off with a nation of people with access to proper healthcare.

Explain to me how we're "better off" when the majority of working Americans who pay for their own healthcare, are going to be paying substantially more for it just to cover the low life leaches who expect everyone else to pay their way? Explain that logic to me. And while you're doing that, spare me the bleeding heart bullshit because I'm tired of hearing it, it's devoid of any fucking logic.

Nearly everything you throw out is either a strawman or an Adhom personal attack. Just like most of the most likely left leaning folks on this site.

Obama lied that people would be able to keep their existing plans, he lied about Bhengazi, he and his useless AG Holder, lied about Fast and Furious. How many more major lies does this bozo have to make before people like you wake the fuck up?

The man should be impeached, and he and his racist wife should be thrown out on their asses.

If you and your ilk could understand this, maybe you'd be looking for affordable healthcare rather than wreaking any attempt at such at every possible opportunity even if it means wreaking the economy at the same time.

Rather than accept the decision of elected officials, the electorate and the SCOTUS, your boys piss and moan so much you (and you alone) shut down the government. No fucking wonder the ACA has teething problems (and as yet, nothing more), it's literally compromised by people who have the nerve to complain that the president won't compromise yet again (despite elected officials, electorate, SCOTUS backing him). And you're so stupid, you lap up their lies.

Speaking of lies, what did I deny?? What's that nonsense about?

The ACA is anything but affordable. Look at the data. Look at the averages. Are you obtuse on purpose or just really retarded?

You quoted me talking about teething problems and it being compromised by your idiots. You're being obtuse *and* retarded.

I wouldn't describe members as that normally but since he referred to somewhere having Muslim immigration as "infected shithole" (even if the friend he claimed to be quoting is real, he was quoted with no further comment as a reason not to visit London) I have zero interest in giving him any courtesy.

Oh we're going to switch topics now rather than look at the data. You're ridiculous Q.

If you love socialism so much get out, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Jesus, man. I had to click to see what you said. I don't think you understand what a "small business" is.
Businesses with under 50 employees, you know, the small ones, don't have to provide health insurance. As a result, they pretty much never do.

So if you work for a small business, you likely don't have insurance. And if you own a small business your personal insurance comes out of the profits, but you're not getting "crushed" because you're not providing your employees with anything.

Per Forbes, 96% of businesses in America have under 50 employees, so they do not need to offer coverage.

Facts: they're useful!

If we're going anecdotal, my dad owned a restaurant with under 50 employees. None of those employees had health care, so they had to buy it themselves. They are much, much better off now.
My dad had to buy his own, too. He complained to me, bitterly and often, about how annoyed he was that my mom quit her job as a teacher when she had kids, because she instead ended up as an office manager at a place that limited her to 35 hours per week to avoid giving her benefits. If she'd stayed a teacher, her benefits would cover both of them. Instead my dad was (maybe still is, I can ask later) paying $2,000 per month in insurance for the two of them.

My Dad, by the way, is against Obamacare. Which is so weird to me. He's the exact person this is designed to help!

As he should be because what you're doing with Obamacare is going to put an over all drain on the economy. Healthcare is a service.

Educated yourself. http://tinyurl.com/8fep89q
That's a .gov link btw. Click it, read it, then come back and preach to me about how wonderful Obamacare is.

From said .gov link.
In 2014, the coverage expansions under the ACA result in projected private health insurance premium growth of 7.9 percent (4.1 percentage points higher than in the absence of reform) due to an estimated 12.3 million people obtaining coverage through the new exchanges(including 3.1 million newly insured). On a per enrollee basis, premium growth is expected to reach 7.1 percent in 2014, up from 4.1 percent in 2013,as a result of more generous health plans being offered to people eligible for government subsidies.

For 2015-2021, growth in private health insurance premiums is projected to slow somewhat and to average 5.9 percent annually,
in part due to an expectation that some large employers of low wage workers will discontinue coverage, resulting in their employees gaining coverage through Medicaid or the exchange plans. Further,
in 2018,a provision from the ACA imposes an excise tax on high cost private health insurance plans. This is expected to lead to affected enrollees shifting from more generous plans to lower cost plans that have tighter utilization requirements, narrower networks,or higher cost sharing.

Land of the free, right there.

The fact that you deny Obama and those of his ilk are working hard to fundamentally change the US, subvert the Constitution and do it all behind the scenes with distraction after distraction just makes me eye roll.

Life isn't easy, when you're born you're not entitled to be handed a life. Most of us realize that, you work hard to get an education, then you apply that knowledge to make a life, career etc for yourself.

It's like you expect people to be just handed things on the backs of everyone else who actually went out and earned what they have. That's not how it works and it's proven to fail every time it's been tried throughout history by making everyone a slave to the state without the freedoms we currently enjoy. That brand of thinking is flat out dangerous.

Anyone can be successful, it takes work, it takes being responsible. Just because you liberals don't like that and your hearts bleed for those who refuse to make a god damn effort doesn't give you the right to fuck over everyone else based on your precious little feelings of injustice or whatever.

Not surprised. So it's a joke to you then. Look at the national average for what Obamacare is going to ultimately cost people, and the numbers don't lie. Just like the myth about Clinton's magical non existent surplus we have the democrats bold faced outright lying again. And it's you and me, and all the rest of the American tax payers, whether you're liberal, republican, or anywhere in between who are going to pay for it. Fucking awesome.

My younger sisters get to stay on my mom's insurance for a few more years because of Obamacare but they got estimates from the exchange anyway and it's going to be cheaper for them then pre-Obamacare health insurance when they do eventually need it. I'm provided health insurance by my company that's $16 a paycheck for health and $3.25 for dental and I put $5 in my flexspend. So with two paychecks a month that's $48.50. I think it might've just gone up a bit a few months ago and the CEO sent out an email that he'll make sure it stays reasonable since our health is important to him.

That's really all the anecdotal evidence I have left.

In general, it's a bit more expensive for people that are working with salary, aka people that can afford it, and cheaper for those that are not working with salaries, aka people that desperately need it and cannot afford it.

So you're basically confirming the point I've been making the whole time, that the people who earn a living should pay for those who refuse to. And you somehow think this is fair or logical.

You people make me fucking ill.

Well you and your sister are lucky then, because for the majority of Americans, Obamacare will end up costing them more. Remember Seph, I live in Mass, I've seen what Romneycare which is not that much different has done to medical insurance here. Let me tell you, it's not pretty.

Luckily for me, I get mine through work, if I had to pay for it myself, I'd end up paying fines or be in jail because the prices here are completely out of control.
