News Comments > Kerbal Space Program Enters Beta

I think it might be time to reinstall this and give it a whirl. I played a lot back in the early days, explored each planet, had a blast. Looking forward to diving back in with all this new stuff.

Generally it's both a steam key and a drm free download. It says what you get with each game, so just be sure to check before buying. When you mouse over a title it'll show you which platform (drm free / steam / linux / mac / android / etc.) you get.

This expansion looks like it will add a lot of variety and ways to play, which is very exciting. Right now InBlack is right, you just see the same decks over and over, makes the game kinda boring.

Gotta agree, your logic for pirating now makes no sense. You don't think something is worth the price they are asking, so it's okay to steal it and enjoy it until it reaches a price you deem appropriate? So you should just go to a car dealership and steal that new camero, but wait 5 years for it to go down in price before you buy a legal title?

If you want to play it, buy it. That's all there is to it. If you feel like a company isn't worth giving your money to, stealing their game makes you no better. That's just saying you're still a child.

I'm excited for all the new cards. As it stands now, you only see a few decks. Aggro hunter, control warrior, handlock, and zoolock. Hopefully the 120 new cards really mix things up and add some variety.

News Comments > Arma 3 Helicopters DLC Released
5. Re: Arma 3 Helicopters DLC Released Nov 5, 2014, 12:47 Whiskers

Considering you get all of the content for free (which is cool) minus the ability to fly the two new helos, the price tag seems very high.

It's nice to see them finally implementing features that have been requested since the days of Operation Flashpoint, but the game still feels too clunky. In Arma 2 the clunkiness had it's charm. In Arma 3 I was hoping they'd flesh out the environmental interactions a bit more.

Um, this is Sledgehammer?
I was saying that this one seems better than Ghost (which was by Infinity Ward). CoD 3 and Ghost were both pretty bleh (Infinity Ward), while Black Ops (1&2) by Treyarch and this by Sledgehammer seem to be the good ones.

The trailers looked cool. It'll still be the same old single player though. Follow the markers, shoot millions of guys, press e to cause cool things to happen. It's funny how Infinity Ward, the original creators, are now at the bottom of the quality barrel when it comes to CoD. Looking forward to giving this a go when it goes on sale in two months.

They need another $59 million. All this money so far has been to generate hype. Once they hit $60 million they will start development

I just hope the single player is fun and comes out next year at some point. I could go for a good story driven single player space game.

It's a fun little game, pretty hard though. You can die very easily, especially as you progress through the levels. I picked it up during the summer sale for $3 and enjoyed it. It's definitely worth giving a shot for free.

They would make some strange plays here and there, but it wasn't much fun to play them, even if you could beat them a lot of the time. When you're playing a real person it just feels different. It's like playing chess against a person vs. a machine. You're still playing chess, but it's not the same.

Hurray! It's too bad they only received a small band. They should have lost all their gold / cards. Glad to hear from this point forward it'll be a perma-ban

The art direction looks really cool, but "cinematic" read to me as "watch this cool stuff happen, then press A". I'd rather play a game.

I watched a review on gametrailers and the game definitely looks fun. The Ork warchiefs dynamic seems really cool, and the art design is great. Hoping this goes on sale over the holidays, looks like a fun game for a snow day.

Well Ghost was made by Infinity Ward. Over the years I've found that the non-infinity ward CODs are usually pretty good. I enjoyed the Treyarch World at War and Black Ops games. I think this might be this developers first CoD, but so far it's looking pretty cool. Definitely not going to pick it up on release, but might be fun to pick up when it's 50% - 75% off.

Double Fine "finished" Space Base DF-9 by labeling the last release 1.0. The community by and large disagrees that it is finished, but there isn't anything they can do except not back DF in the future.

This is exactly where early access / kickstarter will always run into trouble. Even before all this early buy in mumbo jumbo, you'd read previews that talk about all these cool planned features that don't end up making it into the final product. It happens.

I really don't feel bad for anyone who buys into early access / kickstarter and then complains it's not what they wanted. You're putting in money in the hopes that something will pay off later. You're not buying a game, you're making an investment in an idea for a game. It's not a 100% guarantee. If you can't handle that, just wait for game to be "finished"

Kinda reminds me of this app I have on my phone

Looks like it could be interesting. Probably wait for a sale to pick it up. Looking forward to seeing some indepth reviews that explain the game mechanics more.

Microsoft should learn to be patient and watch for sales. I only paid $5

Well, whatever Notch ends up doing, hopefully he gets enough money from this to do what he wants and enjoy life. That's what it's all about.

It's a system whereby you pay them for the ability to test the game. . . I'd just feel dirty if I gave into that.
Hopefully you've never bought any early access games

I think the CTE is a nice idea, and while BF4 has had it's issues, I've still had a lot of fun with it. It's died down recently as other games have taken over, but I'm interested to see what this next update will include. Some of my friends still stand by 2142 being the best BF for them, so I'm curious to see what they will do with this last DLC.
