Uh popular games usually have qualities that make them a great game. If a game is crap, why would it be popular?

Infantry can do very well against tanks. Sticky bombs, Stormtroopers, etc. The airborne/ranger (infanty company) list and blitzkreig doctrine kick ass against tanks.
There are only 2 sides but three different ways of playing with each side thanks to the doctrines.

You control your guys squads at a time, nice thing though is little dots appear representing where every guy will end up when you move them, so you can tell if they are all going to be in cover, etc (various types of cover matter).

This game is boring as hell. It'd be fun if the space combat was like Star Control otherwise its a somehow even more boring overhead nontwitch version of X3 with a crappy RTS game tacked on.

Uh the A-10 is scheduled to be in service until 2029...
Beginning in 2005 the entire A-10 fleet is being upgraded to the "C" model that will include improved FCS, ECM, and the ability to carry smart bombs.
