I see I woke up in that timeline today where we use fancy words to seem fancy. How fancy.

1. You spelled it wrong.
2. The word is used appropriately and would require a handful of other words to replace itself.
3. Imagine what the world would be like if we just looked up the word, learning what it means, instead of just making fun of something we don’t yet know.

if I spelled it correctly I'd maybe trigger a jailbreak on someone who reads this. ya never know.

OK.

*looks at current top sellers*

Bro?

1) Counter-Strike 2 = big corp
2) HELLDIVERS 2 = yes, small corp
3) Dragon's Dogma 2 = big corp
4) Steam Deck = hardware from a big corp
5) PUBG = yes, small corp
6) BG3 = big corp
7) Cyberpunk 2077 = big corp
8) EA Sports FC24 = big corp
9) Rainbow Six Siege = big corp
10) RDR 2 = big corp

So, excluding the Steam Deck as hardware, we have a score of 7 to 2 in favor of BIG corps.

You, Sir, are wrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooonnnnnnnngggg!

The fact FC24, R6 and RDR2 was on the list and I didn't see it tells you I needed more coffee when writing this. Yikes.
To be fair my list on sales start looked different lmao

The big studios don't make succesful games anymore, at least most of the time. Look at current top sellers, ain't a single big corpo behind it. Helldivers devs are as indy as it gets, and you can say lots of things but the game is unique and, imo, one of the first live service games where it actually feels like a LIVE service, and not a 6 months delayed mess.

I was taking sandwiches in those things to work for 30 years and I am still here.

The problem ain't the sandwiches, it's the baggies you throw away and that then DON'T ROT AWAY but rather diffuse into the soil and the ground water. DUH

What is there to investigate? No one has died or lost their life savings.
This is not the first time that a game has been delayed.
Employees are getting paid, the game is getting made, and people are playing alpha versions of it.
It's not like CIG is Boeing, I doubt there's going to be whistleblower testimony.

Their DLC improves the base game for those who don't buy the DLC via the free patches, as opposed to most companies that kneecap those who don't pay for the DLC. Entitled much?

No, it does not. I am a day one owner of Stellaris with over 5000 hours of play time and it has arguably gotten worse over the course of those "free" updates. We went from three different travel types to one. We lost the ability to actually develop planets to a "district" system which is opaque and abstract. The diplomacy system is a bad joke with NPC players making and breaking treaties like they're changing underwear. The "random" events aren't. For example, when I master and open an L-Gate, at least 70% of the time it's the Grey Tempest. Then there are the entire subsections of the game that have been ripped out over time to make way for DLC that were perfectly fine on their own.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the mod community, I would have left this game in the dust long ago due to the butchering Paradox has put it through.

Call me "entitled" if you want, but I think 5309 hours gives me experience rather than entitlement.

My favourite "they made it worse" part is now the absurd spam of heroes or whatever they are called. Making it feel more like a pokemon game than a stellar empire management sim. Heck at one point in an acog run I had like 651 hirelings from assimilated species or whatever in the list, took nearly 7 minute to open and had 1 fps. Sigh.

There are many jokes to be made about this but I just cant muster any motivation anymore... literally everything in the blurb of whats new is already in the game.
I am guessing they will lock cyborg ascension and assimilation civ behind paywall now?

Imagine calling it racism when I post correction to a news item and point out that the company we talk about falsified their own wikipedia entry to hide its ties to Russia
Now we don't have to imagine anymore.

Wow, that's lame. Going to have to do even more selective purchasing going forward and pay even more attention to which games these guys are developing/publishing.

Due to the sanctions, I would assume that the Russian studios have officially "relocated" to a letter box in Cyprus as most other Russian businesses who want to continue doing business with us evil NATO oppressors who forced this war upon Russia?

Well this was done before the sanctions so whether you feel the need to hold that over them or not is a you decision. I just wanted to point out that there is a very clear Russia link with Saber that they try to hide.

Well Blues, here is some news for you then
As a reminder, Saber Interactive is formally an American company headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. But we remember well that the company was founded in 2001 in St. Petersburg. The St. Petersburg office is still actively working on Saber games. In addition, Saber Interactive includes the Russian studios Bytex (Saransk) and SmartPhone Labs (Veliky Novgorod), as well as the Belarusian Saber Interactive Belarus (Minsk).

And yes, the wiki entry was falsified to hide this. Wrongly claims was funded in the US, it was not.

The fact that you can choose a non-Boeing flight on travel sites now is just mindblowing. Boeing would deny it, but we all know why that feature was put in and which name and models are checked by a great many people.
Ryan Air has renamed the illfated Boing types to 737-8200 to get around this. Lmao

Also gotta love it, no documentation anywhere in that factory. If that is true I would close it and never look back. That shit is intentional.

I know it makes me shake my head in disbelief and horror.

"Most apps struggle to reach $1,000 per month in revenue"

Sorting revenue by app and not by developer must be one of the craziest insanities such an article has ever comitted.
Wouldn't surprise me if 80% of the apps are from 20% of the developers, after all....

Ah yes, Watch Dogs 1, the game where you play a mass murdering psychopathic terrorist that was CORRECTLY TAGGED by the crime prevention system as a potential terrorist. I actually never played a game before where character, gameplay and story clashed as hard as that one. On the other hand, does sound like an interesting movie
