I didn't even know it was unblocked ;p Now they apparently make Iran Intranet though... well whatever flies for them. If the people there accept it.. then they can only blame themselves.

Today I just found out what they meant with "end game content"

You know Bully Mongs?

Well, there are level 51 versions of em after you reach the Blight zone .. and they are called... De-Mon'gs.... yes, Demons. Firey, burning, hell demons of doom. I was giggling Borderlands 2 has a end-game that's worthy of it's name. You won't get to the end of RVH modus easily. This is great, because I have only found 3 lvl 50 weapons yet (sadly none of them elemental +.+). I feel as if I need to go shopping for a fire immunity shield before proceeding ;p

I had the same error, but aside that steam is having some really damn weird issues lately. Just now it asked me whether to resync the cloud save files or use the current ones locally stored for Borderlands 2. And I am like.. WTF? Not just that, but the past 2 days I couldn't upload screenshots (Error).

Whatever they are doing, it is not making me want to buy stuff on Steam lately... not with GMG having better prices anyway, but that's another matter ;p

Professional Chariot Racing simulator... you were joking, but that'd be kinda cool. With proper physics, and maybe even "build your own chariot" + "breed horses" + realistic physics + combat element... actually.. that sounds not just cool, that'd be awesome ^^

Yeah I guess my erratic play-time is a doom bringer to any COOP play for me. Its an hour on and off at random times.. so I am kinda stuck with public games

Yeah... kinda odd to put a 2nd game as stretch goal and a goal this far away.. did they expect this to turn out different? Who'd give money to the game after seeing it is still 250k from reaching the final stretch goal? Individual support turns into a meaningless number at this stage, it completely destroys the potential to achieve the goal. They literally destroyed the potential to reach more money by putting such an absurd stretch goal at the end. Small steps build a house.

At least they should get to 800k with paypal included.

It is worth it. In fact, I think if you play BL2 anything BUT solo you lose so much of the flair this game has it completely destroys it. You will never find the easter eggs, hidden references and hilarious dialog scenes you can stumble upon in coop, worse, in coop you will never meet a real challenge until you reach level 40+ (at this stage, enemies become extremely varied ;p)

Weapon variety is massive. Even after reaching level 47 I have not seen all weapon types nor even half of the possible variety weapons can have. Only nagging bit is imo the assault rifles, which again are the weakest weapon type of the game. Nothing can really beat auto-shotguns or SMG's / pistols with a x2 or x3 bullet modifier.

By the way, AR's are weak because most late game (ie, level 40+ real vault hunter mode) are extremely agile, you will maybe hit 15% of your bullets with an AR, that just ain't going to work out in your favor. Though weapon choice does matter (still using mostly pistols/shotguns/sniper/missile as Siren.) and your luck plays a large part, however unlike Diablo 3, in this game you WILL find the game changer weapon if you play the game. And you will be giggling when you see it. You are simply guaranteed to find a good weapon every now and then, and when then finally you see a blue weapon drop that completely puts any of your current weapons in the shadow with its stat, .. that is imo how a good drop system works.

Sadly I still think the COOP loot drop system in BL2 is total crap. Loot should be "per player" and not free for all.

And speaking of awesome, i just got my first 200k damage crit on an enemy ;p With a sniper rifle and the enemy was slagged from a grenade (and various other things playing into this ,p)

This!

In the gameplay shown 4 guys stand around, 1 robotically moves the sword back for a overhead swing, 1 robotically moves the sword up to block as soon as you see this..

It looked completely retarded. Both standing there, just moving arms.. URGH, terrible.

It's even kinda hilarious given that these clouds could be drawn by any 5 year old about the same way.. so why the artist didn't draw his own clouds.. who knows. This is one of these things where I just would like to know "how" this came to be. Maybe they had an intern do it for 0 pay...

But that's just it, you can't do better than winning. To me, winning a rogue like is like climbing the highest mountain on mars, it should not be achievable THIS easily. I guess in a perverse way I am sulking over beating the boss on my first try with a engi ship. (Which was my 3rd try overall).

Imo, a rogue like should not be easily winnable

Kinda hilarious that FTL: Faster Than Light review got (9.5) I mean, I don't think it's a bad game, but 9.5? Better than MOO2 (8.4) and better than Distant Worlds (9.4) ?

This is the highest score spacesector.com has giveth ever.... for a game that has very little real game-play. In a way FTL reminded me of Progress Quest. If you find the win strategy there is literally no game to be had, it's just the same procedure every encounter. Target 2 Ion Mk2's shields and weapons, have 2 attack drones wreak havok. have 2 mantis warriors teleport over and have cloak.

WIN

after 11 hours of play-time.

I never before won a rogue-like.. which makes me sad. Not that I won, but that people call FTL a rogue like.. I am just odd with my game taste I guess...

I'd have given it a 8/10 .. enjoyed the heck out of it, but now.. I don't think I want to start it up again. At least not when Torch Light 2 and Borderlands 2 demand my attention.

News Comments > Steam EU Legal Conflict
31. Re: Steam EU Legal Conflict Sep 22, 2012, 12:26 eRe4s3r

I wasn't making an argument I asked basically which EULA would be the one valid if it went to courts... You can let EULA's pop up everywhere, that does not make them any more valid. Especially in the EU, where the revised steam EULA is illegal, not just invalid. Because they forced you to agree to it or lose your account, the EULA changes can be considered VOID. The currently binding EULA (in the EU) is the one before the change.

If steam where to ban you for a reason they added recently to the EULA you would have a strong case before court...

At least the original artist got in the news because of it, he should be thankful

LOL, a silhouette with a scene inside of it is NOT copyrighted. So dear illustrator, please go away! Inspiration is taken from your artworks, if you don't like that. Don't make artworks.... sheesh (That said, 1 background element looks very identical to the original)

Still, if he gets worked up over that, he should never browse deviantart.

Even funnier -> what EULA is actually valid when you don't buy via Steam... because if you bought the game elsewhere Steam is not a store but rather the DRM and download manager, they are essentially a party that fulfills a contract of a 3rd party. So it begs to argue that the steam EULA isn't even valid in that case. Because Steam can not just change contracts of 2 parties where it is only the download and drm service component.

I don't think though that Steam will let this go before court (the vzbz should not be taken lightly, when they say hop, companies usually jump) So steam will be tame like a cat now and do everything possible not to let this go before a German court, because German courts relating to this kind of stuff are the straightest line to the EU courts you can get. Especially because Steam is violating EU directives, not just national law.

And as for iffy EULA situations, think about this. If you buy a game and you get a download and the only way to access your bought game is via this then you could argue that the download service is responsible, if they kick you out, they would need to refund you FULLY.
