"Macbook webcams can be remotely activated without any sign"

Oh, thanks for showing us this neat trick, says the NSA.

Silicon Valley doesn't give a crap about their users. The only thing they are concerned about is the NSA-caused collapse of their userbase which in turn leads to a collapse of their profits.

You're paying extra to help make sure the game is finished. It's not like the money is going into their pockets. And they don't have a big publisher to handle expensive QA testing.

If you don't want to pay extra simply wait for the final game to come out and buy it then. It's crazy how this has to be explained over and over and over again for idiots. I doubt the complainers would bother with proper testing and submitting bug reports/suggestions anyway. Hell, barely 20% of the Torment backers took the time to vote in a fucking poll about combat.

Thumbs up to that.

On a side note: The Beta is absolutely unplayable on my 2009 Dell laptop (i7 quad @ 1.6 GHz, Radeon HD5400, 4 Gb RAM), the fps is down to ~5, on lowest settings, 1680/1050. I doubt there will be a quantum leap in performance for the final version, so this game is going to need a pretty decent machine to run smoothly.

Clicked on three random links for the XBone. All promise that wonderful magic and dancing unicorns will populate your endorphin centers if you purchase this console. Needless to say, Im not impressed.

Surprise, surprise! American sites promote an American product (that MUST beat the Japanese competitor). Surprise, surprise!

I can't wait to get my hands on the W2 beta. As backers we had early access to the "enhanced" version of W1 on GOG. But as Cutter said, playing this in 2013 is really cumbersome.

My thoughts on Need for Speed Rivals.

1) Is that NFS 13 or 14? Because, somehow, the game looks familiar.

2) The level of detail as presented would be okay (on previous generation consoles).

3) The clip quality at 1080p is probably the worst I've ever seen on youtube.

4) They could reduce the level of realism further if they made the cars fly - permanently.

5) Enjoy the game, console kids...

Devilish

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) pushed through the Senate Intelligence Committee on an 11-4 vote a bill that enshrines the bulk collection of Americans' phone call records into law, and expands the agency's authority to track foreign nationals who enter the United States

It's good that absolutely no foreigner is forced to visit the country of endless paranoia - UPSA. And to those who do: You've been warned.

I'm starting to get a rather uneasy feeling about this game. They're promising the stars and there's the reputation of more than just Star Citizen at stake. This is a big deal for crowd funding (ugh, now I'm using that phrase) and it could all end in tears.

Thankfully, I know nothing and my predictions frequently suck, so it'll probably all be OK.

Hey, I love space sims as much as the next guy but Roberts has given me a real snakeoil salesman vibe that's only gotten worse. I hope I'm dead wrong on this because I'll happily buy it after launch if that's the case but there's no chaance in hell I'm giving him dime one until we see exactly what's what all around.

And yeah, if it's not as advertised all around this could be just another massive blow to crowd funding games.

Exactly my thoughts... At this point I'm glad I haven't spent one cent on this project. To me it seems it has grown from overweight to obese, and that's a bad sign. Once you deliver what's promised I'll gladly give you my money Mr. Roberts, but it's your turn first.

Unreal 4? This is all about Unreal ENGINE 4 and has nothing to do with a game. That said, the UE 4 demo is old news, it was uploaded in March 2013.

PC gaming FTW! - Fuck you 180 and PS4!

yeah, and there will never be a console port of this because if you try to load a world that is 35 times as big as The Witcher 2 a console would explode.

But let the console kids play their beloved GTA V- that thing looks so 2002 LOL.

Yes, GTA V looks no better than Morrowind, or GTA III for that matter... Rolleyes

BTW, 35 times as big as The Witcher 2 is about on par with Skyrim/Oblivion/Fallout 3, and less than half the size of GTA V. Total area in Witcher 2 was a little less than 1.5 square kilometers, spread across several separate maps. But hey, anything to make it sound bigger, I guess, lol.

Good points. From what I've seen, GTA V is just big but it doesn't look good (considering the hardware limitations of current gen. consoles it look amazing though). So, yes, take a heavily modded Morrowind and compare the two.

35 times the size of Witcher 2 plus the increased level of detail and the console explodes. Fixed.
