Where's the goddamned PC footage?! What is Bethsoft afraid of showing?!

Probably that it looks exactly the same as the console versions (except with higher resolutions.)

Creston

meaning: it's going to look sooooooo DX9....

LOL. Thousands of gigantic skyscrapers in an otherwise empty "city". And: Few cities look like what's displayed on those screenshots. They should have called the game "NYC-style Cities XL 2012"...
sorry for the rant but that's how I see it.

I will not buy an always online game without first downloading the pirated version, which will be the version I play.

from a legal standpoint this approach is questionable and with respect to the future of DRM it's just bad. If your choice is to buy a DRM-tainted license to support the developers but to play a cracked version then you'll still be denied support. In other words: You pay for the game, but you disqualify yourself for support and on top of that you also contribute to the development of even more intrusive DRM. For the publisher you are the "perfect customer". So IMO there are only two ways to boycott DRM: The illegal one of pirating the game and NOT paying for it at all, and the legal one of flat-out ignoring DRM'd games.

"Americans Spend over 53 Billion Minutes per Month on Facebook".

Unfortunately, not only Americans have too much time to waste (too much meaning 10 minutes per day).

Hey, looks like FB finally stole Google+'s idea of "circles"....

5. Re: Diablo III Lag-Free? Sep 14, 2011, 10:50 Lord Tea

well if they expected ANY lag during beta testing with only a tiny fraction of gamers testing the oh-so-great Battle.net then the final version with thousands of users would have been a complete desaster, right? So what is this news telling us? Nothing.

I'm never gonna pre-purchase let alone pre-load (on Steam, no resale possible) a game anymore. I can wait until the first user reviews pop up on the net and then decide.

Thanks for the info though.

G+ is one huge privacy nightmare. Most profile details default to "visible to anyone on the web" - and that can't even be changed to anything more stringent. FAIL!

Yeah, that generally happens when we get fucked before we get kissed. Run Todd's post through a bullshit filter and you get...

"Yes, it's a console game designed first and foremost with consoles in mind, so you're an idiot if you're expecting a good CRPG for the PC. However, we'd still like you to buy the game regardeless because we'll be releasing an editor so you PC people can fix the game eventually...sorta kinda."

that's exactly how I see it. Mr. Howard may keep talking garbage until the cows come home: As with every other Proudly-Made-For-Console title, Skyrim is not gonna come anywhere near my PCs.

ummm Crysis 2 should have been designed from the ground up to support DX 11. "enable DX 11 support" - WTF does that mean?? It's a DX 9 game so it runs on consoles....

Brief Facebook outage causes slight panic.

.... and for a brief moment I thought the world would be healed of this cancer.

That said, I REALLY liked Mr. Zuckerberg's decision to give away half his wealth to charity. Thumbsup to Mr. Zuckerberg.

yep, and the love starts at the airport - literally.

I prefer Skype for that stuff, it has pretty much everything you need + great video chat. I think people just prefer the narcissistic Facebook elements like the who likes who crap. I'm sure Facebook is great for commercial opportunities but I find the type of social interaction on it to be mostly superficial. Just my opinion anyway. If you find it useful then hey whatever works for you.

I couldn't agree more. I've no idea why people believe that facebook is the (only) platform of choice for any social activity, be it promote your [whatever], keep in touch with family and friends etc. etc.

Fact is, because of its 600+ million users FB has become THE primary target for all kinds cyberattacks such as the one reported here and your data are all but safe on FB. But why am I talking about this when people have been brainwashed beyond repair anyway.
