You won't beleive it, but a game based on the unreal engine, about some guy going into hell and back killing everything in his path. and he's cool too.
gone gold.
They said it will be out "when it's done" - well, now it is !
... ehhm...or maybe, it's not? yet??
And about unreal II all I can say is "yay!! you actually made a game based on the unreal engine about a guy who goes into hell and back. and he is cool too."
edit: I am pretty tired

Physics meaning explosions should not 'ghost' through walls (RTCW, HL), grenades and other world debris should tumble and roll correctly, enemies should fall backwards when shot in the chest and forwards when shot in the back ect. Physics, or "rigid body dynamics", is actually a very difficult thing to simulate, with a very high order of complexity for the CPU. It has to do with 3D collision detection, which are translated into contacts that are transformed into physical model based on such parameters as friction, mass, gravity and joints. Speaking as someone who have been monitoring this field for about a year now, its very heavy CPU-wise. On the other hand - doing approximation is not that real-looking...
btw, a good game with aproximate physics is Max Payne

What kind of hard drive do you already have in your machine? Well , I already have a 40GB IBM drive, and am going to use the WD (which I haven't bought yet stupid traffic.. errrr ... ) anyway, I am will be using the WD as the secondary Master and the IBM as the primary Master.
I also have a dual boot here (win2k/linux) and I hope it will work fine.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up man

I thought IBM was getting out of the HD market? Yes, they are, going into a joint venture with Hitachi.
Above all, get one with a good warranty! This is a good point. the WD have 3 years.

WarPig, First - love your sig.
Second - I had bad luck with maxtor as well (five years ago...), and I currently have 40GB IBM which is very fast, very quite, but have 2K bad sectors....
you didn't mention Western Digital, why is that ?

What HD to buy? |

Hi all, I need some help here. I want to buy a new hard disk, I need something around 80GB, reliable, quite and fast (at that order).
Suggestions? bad experience?
The current HDs to choose from are: western digital 8MB cache 80GB, Seagate 80GB, Maxtor 80GB ATA 133 and IBM 80GB.
I got about an hour to choose ( I have a pretty good idea what I am going to choose, but I don't want to bias anyone :-)

... on the same note, you can always give the option to use old link format on the "Customize" panel.
