Hey, look! Another condescending post from bobbob.

The above is an example of trolling and flaming. Merely attacking the poster instead of the subject.

You're just posting generic links to wikipedia and make no effort to respond in any meaningful way to any criticism of your ridiculously one sided tripe. To be blunt you don't deserve any special consideration or treatment.

Its laughable because Microsoft had right of first refusal and told Bungie they weren't interested so Microsoft can actually be blamed for both situations.

What criticism of the actual game do I need to provide? That its ugly? That other games have editors that allow you build stuff? If you think mining pixels or voxels or whatever the fuck they are is the height of culture then you're only proving my point for me.

What exactly does Minecraft provide as an actual game that no other game can provide. Please educate me. What exactly is the draw that's so utterly compelling and unique about it? I tried it for all of 30 minutes and I literally found that watching paint dry was far more entertaining. Literally.

No, it's a cultural phenomenon. One member of the herd hears about it and is told that this is what all the cool kids are doing. And being the conformist he is he can risk social alienation or he can go along with the crowd. Then when someone asks him about it it gives him a sense of validation and self-importance. And the cycle continues.

People play Minecraft because they like it, it is pretty much the opposite of a game where conformity is any concern. Everyone tends to play it the way they want, they have individual goals and creativity abounds - no one is conforming to anything. That's the whole point of Minecraft, it is almost structure free and lets people shape it to what they want. That's not conformity, thats individuality.

I've got news for you about the people who play Minecraft, many of them are just like you. You should try the game sometime so you understand it before you dismiss it because you see a lot of people streaming it on Youtube. It would be fine if you just didn't like Minecraft for the gameplay but you're just saying its bad because some vague number of people like it which is something I would expect to hear from a teenager. I don't even like Minecraft but I don't tell myself I'm James Dean for not playing it.

Yeah, and the problem with the Fire phone is it's no good to anyone who isn't in the US so that kind of puts the kibosh on that before its even begun.

It's only being sold in the US right now. It will open up to other territories soon, Amazon is pretty good about offering their stuff everywhere.

The same woman did not say those two things in a split second while opening a door. Two different women maybe. I'm sure there are women who don't want doors opened for them the same way I run into alpha males who insist I go first or that they hold the door themselves. People are just rude, its not a gender specific thing.

That's not to say I identify with bullshit feminist agendas but we don't need complain like they do about it. The easiest way to torpedo that shit is to ignore it, they need the media attention for their dumb cause.

Yeah, but the problem is you and I are paying ours and they're not paying theirs. They're gaming the system so everything goes their way and we keep losing and losing more. No one thinks Revolutions will ever happen, until they happen. What do you think Occupy was? Not a full blown Revolution, no, but a strong indicator of where things are headed. As things get worse, people get angrier. And then react. And it's usually a very bad, very violent reaction. We're not talking about the philosophy of economics here, were' talking about real life and real problems. And the ridiculous thing is it's all very avoidable in the first place.

What makes you think you and I are the same? I am quite happy gaming the system as you put it which is really just being smart with your money and taking easily accessible legal tax breaks. Tax breaks that anyone else could do if they would take the time to research it and actually spend some time investing in their money wisely, another thing that requires patience and research which is beyond most people. I pay more than my fair share of taxes, don't owe you or anyone else anything.

Occupy was a joke, idiots with Macbooks and smartphones sitting around in a public park surrounded by police. There is no revolt coming, people have it too good to bother. The reality is that people are too apathetic and used to the contrivances that government and society graciously affords them. People are sooner to riot on comcast than they are on the government, thats how fucked up and hilarious society in north america is. Buckle up, its going to be a long ride.

Most people should be able to afford to live in a decent neighborhood and eat decent food. However that's not the case because some people have 20 million dollars to blow on a fucking stamp.

I don't think the item in question matters, it could be a baseball or it could be a diamond and I still think its wasteful. I didn't earn his money though, if he wants to blow it on that then who am I to tell another man how to spend his bread? It's all relative, the rich also tend to have insanely expensive lifestyles and hobbies. Do you suffer people telling you that your hobbies are stupid and to spend it elsewhere? No you don't.

That said I agree that income inequality continues to be a significant and growing problem but I don't think you're going to address it by haranguing the rich and trying to guilt them into doing anything. It might make you feel better to whine about it on the internet but it doesn't really accomplish anything. A better approach is the economic argument, societies with a stronger middle class spend more money which in turn helps enrich both society as a whole and creates more opportunity through a robust economy.

Why is it a problem? Income disparity is natural, some people are losers who will turn every victory into a failure somehow. Some people work hard and make more money, other people sit around crying about it online. We all pay taxes and I already pay more than my fair share, my obligations to other peoples finances end there. You want a fair shake in life? Work for it, no one owes you anything. Global revolt? Don't make me laugh, people sit around whining about a netflix price increase like its the apocalypse. They're too apathetic to ever take action and most of them are too damned fat and lazy too. Things are going to continue as is because that's exactly what people want.

People really need to stop it with the putting soldiers on a pedestal nonsense.

Not surprised to see the idiot responsible for this and some nazi apologist comments say that. Put your money where your big mouth is and go live in a real facist country sometime. As someone who has served you are completely clueless if you think no one else would try to take away the things you have been given without defense. An entitled little whiner like you wouldn't understand concepts like sacrifice, honor and integrity. All you do is bitch about your handouts and cry about having to show anyone else a slight modicum of appreciation for them. You disgust me.

Go whine about the government TO the government, leave the soldiers alone you asshat.

Yeah, tons of stuff can be interacted with, crafted, used in the environment. It's awesome as a possum. This is about the only thing I've backed I'm really happy about so far. Wish I had never given dime to Fargo and those jerks at inXile. And I'm pretty worried about the lack of progress from Project Eternity. With that last update it just seems it's hella behind schedule. And they had the gall to even ask if they should do yet more stretch goals with it. Just get it out the fucking door already.

inXile is the one doing Wasteland 2, yah? What have they've been doing that's disappointed you? I'm not up on W2 progress since it was kickstarted and then I saw a demo a few months ago on youtube. Are they f'ing it up?

He has the sensitivity of a 14 year old drama queen and likes to be offended about everything. Wasteland 2 is shaping up fine.

Your internet lawyering is very weak, stick to your day job kid. No one is going to prison because a video game project fell apart, are you 14 or something? Maybe you can ask the government for another law to protect you from people who point out how ridiculous your comment is.

Little whiners like you who just want to be offended at something on the internet are hilarious. Yeah forget publishers like EA who do worse consistently, lets string up those indies because their 200k game fell apart! It hurts to laugh this hard.
