I'm truly surprised at how much better this looks than the first few trailers that came out.

There is still hand-holding and dumbed down gameplay, but at least it looks fun!

Agreed, the initial marketing has done them no favors but this trailer was really slick.

The only problem with KB/M in the Souls games is that many sections require precision movement that the designers expected from analog controls. You can still get past those parts though, there is nothing unbeatable. I personally would not play it without a controller but that's just me.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time with that...just pirate it: That's what Jerykkk would do.

He's already said he doesn't pirate games anymore, stop acting like a childish wanker.

So the Board kicks out Ballmer AND Gates because they want to shake things up, then they pick this guy as CEO.

Ca plus ce change, etc.

He's an engineer who also grew their online services division from nothing to a billion dollar business despite facing large entrenched competitors. I don't see how he's unqualified or something.

What the horse shit? 3Mbit? Rofl, I haven't been keeping up to date on EQN news... that pretty much makes this game unplayable for me(and most people in the US?) because of ISP monthly bandwidth caps.

Sigh, oh well. It's probably not going to be anything special anyway. *Sour Grapes*

Err what? 3Mbit is probably just an upper requirement for initial loads, I highly doubt it's actively streaming at that rate the entire time.

They put Stephen Elop in charge of the devices division which includes the Xbox. So that probably means its here to stay unless he's covertly tanking it for a competitor like he did with Nokia.

I have a feeling the game is going to be short too.

And WTF is Jeryk, I'm surprised he's not in here defending it.

I don't think he's ever really defended it, just said that people should have an open mind and evaluate it based on what it is and not what Thief 2 was 15 years ago. Which is a totally valid point by the way. It shares the name so if they totally throw away everything and it sucks then so be it but people have been going apeshit despite the team being pretty good about listening to feedback.

Good actors transcend typecasting and if Aaron Paul has good range then he'll find other things to work on.

We had fun with the Bowl despite the game being utter shit. We basically sat around mocking everything MST3K style and ate tons of shitty food. I hope that Seahawks D gets split up next year.

I too remember worrying about the resource footprint of programs...back when 1GB of memory was lavish Oh noes 150MB of my 8GB ram!

Steam still loads pretty quickly for me and I rarely experience problems with any technical aspect of it. Steam updates so rarely unless you opt into the betas that it doesn't really matter either.

On a side note, they have really improved the InHome Streaming stuff. I was just playing HL2 on my HTPC and it felt like playing it locally, wired to my gigabit network of course.

Why so uppity, Verno?

When you leave em floating out there like that, you can't blame other people for swinging

What an ass kicking, first play of the game says it all, Denver gave the game to Seattle... not to say Seattle didn't play great. Normally I would have hated the game seeing as it really was quite lame, but for the first time I can remember, I actually cared who won. Seahawks FTW!

Broncos defense was awful. I know Manning will bear the brunt of the shame for the shellacking they took but it was definitely a team failure for Denver.

BF4 needs more a higher update rate, its pathetically low. Playing something like Counter-Strike or TF then going to BF4 makes this very apparent. I like the game for what it is but they could fix a lot of the gunplay issues with lower player counts and higher update rates.
