Antivirus vendors also build in hidden whitelists for workplace monitoring like Spector CNE so I have no problem believing they purposely turn on blinders for government spyware.

I agree with you, but I also agree with his sentiment, but it was a crass characterization. I think a better way to put it would of been to say everyone would like something for nothing.

Agreed, put differently people would taken this in a very different light. You have to more conscious of your reputation when you're a company like EA. Little things like this just contribute to the problem.

If I had to guess, I'd say the supplier would ship it out if a location is not close by. This doesn't seem to be your PS3's Sony, this time around they actually give a shit about the customer.

Also, LESS THAN 10 F***ING DAYS!!!!!! Wearing my D-Bag hat, I already sold my second pre-order for a bit of profit. I'll be taking that Saturday off (even though I work a M-F job)!

We're in Vegas from Friday til next Thursday so it works out perfectly, get in and kick back with the PS4 for the weekend. How much did you sell your other preorder for? I reserved one for myself and one for a friend but he changed his mind so I guess I should sell the extra I have no use for.

I've only got Killzone and AC4 on tap but oh well, Resogun looks pretty rad and I've got a big PS3 backlog to catch up on. Dragons Dogma is free with PS+ this month and its a fucking great game.

That 1 billion is just shipments to retailers though isn't it? I know CoD prints money but I wonder how much price protection will affect them here with the game getting very poor word of mouth even in casual circles.

Yeah you do, you've been moderated countless times for personal attacks, I can go dig them up in seconds so don't bother lying, it's pretty simple to search your username for moderated posts. Stop blaming your problems on everyone else, try actually changing your actions and maybe people will respond better.

No one cares about how much you hate Obama or whatever, it's the way you present it that sucks and pisses everyone off to the point where you're not even taken seriously.

Anyways I'm really fed up with you and I'm super patient so just give it a rest for awhile, sheesh. Maybe act like a normal person and interact with people without pushing your politics on them, doing the HURR BOONEWS EA stuff or attacking them, see what that experience is like. You might even like it!

This has fallen off the front page so I'm done checking it now, don't bother with a big comeback about Obama and leftwing rahrah, I'm not reading it. Just think about what I said. You make an effort to change and I will do my best to help you with the people who hold past grudges.

Except that they're doing pretty well? The 3DS is very successful despite intense competition from the mobile market and the 2DS is just a bottom end thing to capture more of that.

I thought Jackman was done doing Wolverine films?

I think it was Michael Caine who was asked about one of the Jaws films and replied that "I haven't seen the movie but I've seen the house it built and it's terrific". So yeah money

They're probably paying Jackman 5-10mil for 5-6 months of work, I doubt he'll ever say no if they keep asking and in his place I wouldn't either.

At the rate you're going you'll have your own echo chamber soon enough Thundr. I can think of less than 10 posters who will even respond to you at this point and if you keep getting on my nerves it'll be 9.

I think most of us ended up about the same Blue so you had a pretty good week.

Ugh @ another Wolverine film, the last two were pretty mediocre PG13 affairs.

I don't think we'll be seeing Titan for a looong time, apparently it went through some sort of internal reboot.

Eh, to each their own. I'm not interested in time-trial stuff, but there were quite a lot of challenges in that DLC that really tested your mastery of Corvo's skills.

The other two DLCs were awesome, btw.

I'm kinda with him that time trial DLC stuff is obnoxious but the other 2 DLCs more than made up for it. Really interested in seeing more open levels for the next Dishonored now that they won't have console memory constraints to worry about.

Interesting points. I brought up India due to their rapid growth and where I suspect their industrialization efforts will be in 20 years. China and the US are very co-dependent at this point but I'm not very optimistic about regulation in either country, the US due to the rise of corporate power in politics and China due to their continual need for growth to keep the population happy outstripping other concerns. The US per capita figures are much higher than I recall though, that's disconcerting.

Do you really see India being an industrial superpower like the US and China? I can't say that I see them being a factor for a long time, they seem more destined for a services oriented economy. I can't say I agree with you that we need to bring China into the fold before we commit to significantly reducing our CO2 emissions, the Chinese have years of environmental study and impact catch up that needs to happen before they take it seriously. I just don't see an easy solution that doesn't involve major disruption to several industries.

Unfortunately, those days are over for the big games. EA isn't the only company to release shooters with tons of DLC. 2K, Activision, Bethesda, they all do the DLC thing. They figured they can't up the base price so they will chop parts off and sell them separately to increase the baseline.

The frustrating thing is that other companies like Valve have shown you can provide value while still being very profitable. EA just isn't built that way though and lacks long term vision, they're too focused on the quarter to quarter financials.

$100 for Battlefield 4 + content. Oh great deal. If they want me to feel like the game is "a steal", you should give us that extra content included in the regular retail price.

The common defense for this is that the previous games were a similar price but that's kind of a meaningless metric for me, the previous games also had different feature sets. I think EA too often designs games with a business model in mind first, creative efforts second and you really see it in games like SimCity.

Nope, you're stuck with it. Steam will sometimes do a one time refund but it's kinda dodgy getting them to do it and I wouldn't waste my one time shot on buyers remorse.
