Eh I don't know. I can see myself using VR on a regular basis but only for certain genres of games and the tech would have to be affordable. VR has so far to go and there is a lot of potential for entirely new genres to open up but the early teething is going to suck.

Wtf is with you lately? You're being real dickish to a lot of people of late. You trying to pick fights? We can go there if that's what you want.

Haha come on, that's like most of what you do on this website dude and the internet toughguy talk/swearing doesn't impress anyone

JD is one of the most laid back people here by comparison.

I'm not disagreeing about the problem, i'm saying that wearing a 2nd tin foil hat is about as useful as its going to get as far as todays 'endeavor' go. Unless you want to completely disconnect from the internet, these are the way things are going to be, whether they are right or wrong.

I disagree, sounds like giving up without even trying. Secure chat clients and messaging, encouraging the use of encryption more in services that typically don't use it, educating people on how they expose their data across devices and so on is all important stuff. The hardest part of improving security is distilling information to people and even just more awareness is worthwhile if people take nothing else from the campaign.

Its naive to think that a superpower (some might even call it the last superpower) would give up a tool as profoundly powerful in today's internet age.

Uh they know they won't, the campaign is as much about education and showing people how to make it as difficult as possible. Do some reading on it.

What does the tinfoil hat comment mean? We have indisputable evidence of widescale surveillance across several different communication mediums. We're well beyond people being paranoid now. The government doesn't care about your gmail or pornhub activity but guess what? They will collect the info anyway in case it can be useful in the future. If there is no value to private data then they wouldn't bother going to such extremes to collect it.

I think its a worthy effort to make it as difficult as possible and a campaign that helps the average person and makes them more aware is exactly what is needed.

All you stupid kids should know that network problems (lag etc) can only be solve by fixing the network. no netcode in this world can fix the problem caused by problematic network.

This is such a bad post on so many levels. Yeah because everyone playing the game has "bad network", hahah.

in fact, there are no good or bad netcode. only good or bad network.

You really have no concept of what is being discussed here apparently. You're the guy with a Killer NIC who thinks disabling windows services saves him a lot of memory too I bet.

Hearing good things about it on other forums, glad to see somethings finally out and people can talk about it instead of weirdos personal vendettas against Chris Roberts.

What a load of horseshit. 160,000 new samples every single day. Yeah. Sure.

The majority of them are variants. Why is that so hard to believe? There is a lot of money to be made in malware.

2. Re: Watch Dogs Claims Sales Record Jun 3, 2014, 14:39 Verno

Peak players on Steam is only 25k. Well below SEVERAL games. There is no way this set any records other than their own.

Uh, they're including console sales in with that and you have to remember the game is being sold widely on UPlay in addition to Steam. In fact most places are selling PC codes on Uplay, not Steam.

I have no problem believing they hit those sales figures, there was a lot of pent up demand for the game and its release period is very quiet.

I don't know, I get it Prez. Some things are easier to swallow than others. There's no logic to it of course, its all about how its written. Suspension of disbelief is a delicate thing

Homefront itself was very mediocre and lacked in so many other areas that plot feasibility ranks pretty low on the list though.

I could never get past the idea of Korea taking over all of Asia and China being perfectly fine with it.

Hope they do something more interesting with the story this time around than trot out every single military occupation cliche.

They can't afford to invade anyone, they're just a convenient villain by western media standards
