Look at Starbound, hanging in there! And 4, no less!

Surprised "Stiuck" of Truth is selling so well...might have a hit on their hands before any reviews hit.

Having not heard of the game until the last week or so (much less not played), I swear to god I thought the name was "Fappy Bird" until yesterday...

Which is, um..."different"...

Never trust Ubisoft. Ever.

Why?

Indeed. If anything Ubisoft has shown itself as one of the few major publishers that can admit it's wrong about stuff and actually change. Credit where credit is due.

AC4 and Blood Dragon were awesome. Looking forward to WatchDogs as well...

It probably helps that I haven't played Dead Island

Can't help but think you're going to be disappointed...

Bizarro. That joke is older than both me and the comic's author. Thanks King Ghidorah.

I still like to think of it as your joke.

PLEASE take your time.

Yep. Take their time and do it right. Not something to be rushed...

Speaking of Kickstarters, I also found this interesting Gem, Hyper Light Drifter.

I got in on the $40 tier (actually $50, with the alt character). Really looking forward to that one, as I love the art style.

The problem with Japanese pop music is that "musical acts" are chosen for their looks, not their musical talent. Over there, music is a corporate profit generator, not an art, much like Free to Play games are over here. Thus the generally poor quality of Japanese music, with a few exceptions. Ditto for their TV shows and movies.

All I know is I kept this playing in the background all day and was laughing my ass off...

That Flappy bird game is not even close to being a decent game. Downloaded it for the kids and they soon stopped playing it and went back to their better games.

I would have to agree that it does not seem very likely this game is that popular.

Thanks for the update, that's fascinating.

Holy shit, how are people still playing that game?

Not just a few, die-hard fanatics either. Almost 8 million people... ridiculous. Congratulations to Blizzard on their long term mind control /cash generation scheme.

Different people like different games. Whoa.

So you have to pay to have a say in what they should create? Are you effin' kiddin' me? And people are stupid enough to actually do this?
You also get the prototype games.
I paid a few bucks the last time they did this, and I enjoyed watching the live streams and playing the prototypes. You don't have to pay to watch the streams, though.

I'm all about the 2PP documentaries...love those!

Yep. Spinning around the drain just a little faster...going to make that collapse even larger when it finally happens.

idk man. Each of these new CoD games gross at least 500 million dollars. If they they keep adding devs to makes these games, are they really doing that bad? Seems a boom, not a bust.

There's got to be a limit, at some point. WWII games got run into the ground. The next Need For Speed just got shelved. Remember how Band Hero and DJ Hero flopped, as people were tired of yearly music games?

At some point, there has to be saturation. I'm not saying it's this fall or anything like that, but I don't believe they can keep the forward momentum going forever. Certainly not enough to support 3 dev houses and the advertising each game costs.
