And even if they do get developers on board, Microsoft can simply choose to disable any support for Vulcan on Windows machines. Game over.

There's no way in hell they'd do that. They're not that stupid.

I've watched the sunfish video at least 5 times now, and it never gets old. Reminds me of the old Adam Sandler albums and the accents he'd do...

Coworker and I both had tears running down the face yesterday, we were laughing so hard...

Now they turn off the driver hook that it works with, basically breaking those games unless you feel confident you can somehow find a cracked .exe without 6 viruses in it.
http://gamecopyworld.com, http://gf.wiretarget.com/

All you need and trustworthy since ever.

You consider gamecopyworld.com trustworthy? Their .exes are loaded with viruses...

Yeah, I stopped using them years ago. Got flagged one too many times...

Good news everybody; They have announced the price for up-coming ship sale, the Endeavor! and the crowd tell me it is reasonable if not cheap!

- Base Endeavor (Standard Labs Attached) - $425
- Base Hope (Hospital Layout) - $450
- Base Endeavor (No Pods) - $350

Thank God that Chris Roberts is so caring to give us these so cheap, bless him.

So how many of theses are you gonna buy?

I don't know which I want to see less, three Prometheus sequels or Cameron's three Avatar sequels.

I might be in the minority (based on Avatars numbers), but it just didn't impress me at all. Pocahontas in space - weeeeee!

And where the fuck is my True Lies and The Abyss (both anniversary editions) in blu ray???? For the second year in a row, they're MIA. Some of his best work after T2, and he's just too busy to attend to them.

So Bladerunner 2 is pretty much never going to happen now.

Different director, I believe. Scott is overseeing now.

Ridley has so much shit on his plate I can't see him doing another two after next spring. He's as bad as Del Toro in signing up for shit and then it never happening (remember that Monopoly movie Ridley was going to do?).

Old Blood still worth a go though, right?

The level I liked the most in NO was one of, if not the first(?) level which was in the castle. So I have a feeling I'd like Old Blood a lot

It's ok, but it's nearly as fun as NO, IMO.

I enjoyed both of them, but New Order especially suffered from some "consol-level-itis"
The "Gopher Levels" were maddening ("Go find me X Document")The "wall climbing mechanics" were just silly...and the monotonous "hold lever down-on power meter-kill tethered robot-suit guy" just sucked.
Killing Nazis in castles and Bavarian style villages never gets old though.

That was Old Blood, wasn't it (wall climbing, power meter)? It's the lesser of the two, for sure.

New Order is much better than Old Blood. OB is decent, but it rehashes plenty of the same ideas as New Order without really doing anything new, and it has a lot less location variety.

Also a lot less personality, in the characters you meet along the way. It's part of what made NO so much fun.

but the news is not all good for DRM haters, as they warn this may prevent some older games from operating

Once again, DRM only hurts paying customers. IE the one group publishers shouldn't be pissing off.

It sounds like the best thing to do is remove Roberts from his own project (or remove his ability to affect production of the game) and get someone in there that can get this ship to the shore.
I vote for... Peter Molyneux.
