Yeah, they dun goofed up. They just ran their cash cow out the door. They can try and continue it w/o him, but good luck.

Hopefully this is another Kojima trick, but it sure doesn't look like it.

Shadows of the Empire, give me.

And the Maniac Mansions (Tentacle, etc)...

Who would have ever guessed Disney would treat these better than Lucasarts did? Not I...

Is anyone playing this on PS4? I'm curious as to how it is. I've read that the story is kind of meh and I played Dead Island on PC and got bored towards the end.

I have some friends who keep mentioning this game from time to time but none of us have taken the plunge.

I'm trying to hold out for Borderlands, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls.

Not tried it. Like you, I've heard the story is meh, but people say the gameplay itself is fun.

I'll grab it some day, for cheap.

You're not crazy, nin, this game runs horrible. I don't think they've done any optimization whatsoever and I don't think they have plans on doing so, either. It's nigh unplayable on my Core i5-750, 6gb RAM and HD7850/1gb. Yeah, it's not a beast but I have no trouble playing Ass Creed: Unity or Dragon Age: Inquisition on it. I can't run Star Citizen though, for some reason. It maxes out my ram and then shows me the desktop like a boot to the ass. As for Carma: Re, I sadly don't have high hopes for it anymore. It's a nice idea and it's certainly Carmageddon but it's not even close to Carma2, which I feel was the best in the series...

=-Rigs-=

Yeah, I went and read a few comments on the steam forums afterwards, and it sounds like it's a mess. Disappointing...

Win some, lose some, I guess...

Man, that makes me think back to the first time I played BG2, my first real exposure to any sort of D&D based game.

My experience was similar - had always seen the gold box stuff at babbages, but never tried it. Had now idea what this whole THAC0 was about, and kept getting killed left and right. But I stuck with it, and it was worth it.

So I tried this again last week, and still felt like performance was horrible, with 1-3 second pauses from time to time. Is it just my machine? I've got an 3.2g i7 960, 8 gig or ram, and one of the new GTX 960s for video. I took the default video options and didn't try and crank everything up or anything like that.

Need some input Bluesers.

Since I can't play my games, I have been organizing them into Catergories within Steam.

If you use these said categories, what haev you setup. If you odn't use them, let me know how you would organize your games.

Thanks. Bats.

So far:
In Progress
In Progress - No Cheevos
Need to Start
Done

Thinking about adding:
MMO
Cards Games
....i dunno....taking a while with 640 games....

Just noticed you can "hide game from list"

I'd have to look at home, but off the top, I have:

<regular list> - stuff I won't touch again, collapsed
<Classics>
<Replays> - generally culled from the classics list, stuff I want to revisit
<New> - stuff I've not played yet, but would like to. But the list is huge
<Kickstarters> - enough of these that I had to separate them from the New list

Now that steam allows multiple categories, I keep the KS in their own group, and most of the time New is collapsed as well.

But what exactly has Valve been doing for the past 5 years?

Counting money.

I don't understand how Origin/EA can offer refunds for 24hrs but Steam can not.

Because "can't" and "won't" are totally different things.

Want to make print money Valve and Newell? Then make a Half-Life game. Its not rocket science.

But that's their problem - they already do that w/o any recent releases. There's no motivation or drive.

Any form of communication at all is better than going radio silent for years at a time. I think it's great they're suddenly touchy feely and admitting their problems (this and their lack of customer support), but pardon me if I'm skeptical if it actually turns into anything.

Admitting is one thing. Actually doing something about it is another.

A post on Reddit does note, however, that this is a little tricky, as it sounds like part of the checkout process asks for prior consent to waive this right to finalize your purchase, so it sounds like actually playing a game ends the ability to return it.

So, let me get this straight. You start the game, and Steam acknowledges that you did. Said game crashes and you still cannot get it working. You forfeit the chance to return it when all of your troubleshooting still doesn't work? That doesn't help that much.

Based on steam's customer support, its hardly surprisingly they'd try and weasel around it by doing this.

That's pretty cool! I have a 3D printer and it's really slow but I can print significantly larger objects with it. I know that resin isn't cheap either compared to ABS filament.

I'm excited to see new 3D printing technologies though.. There are many cool things in the works now.

I find the idea of eventually printing organs to be both crazy and exciting...I don't anticipate it expanding the lifespan by a huge amount, but even if used in limited to cases, to extend one life to a normal span? That would be awesome.
