I would just like a game that's as good as DA1, thanks.

So not good at all then? That's easily done.

You're in the minority on that one Cutter. DA 2, on the other hand, was the real let down.

DA1 was the last good thing bioware did...

However, I would like to see MS explain this to all their early adopters who they told that "We will never drop Kinect!" Because they are now stuck with a 100 dollar piece of shit that will fade away into utter obscurity.

Well, that would have happened regardless of this new offering. Remember Steel Battalion Kinect?

You know, when I first saw that game, not realizing it required kenect, I thought it looked awesome. But the moment I heard it required motion controls, I lost all interest...

And then came the reviews...

Funny comments here...

They didn't even give the new Kinect a damn chance. They said they'd never sell a Kinectless console. They knew it would doom it to the same fate as the original. They were right and I respected them sticking to their guns. Now what? They kill it before it has a chance to prove itself to the people who were so skeptical. I LOATHED the original Kinect. If this thing could impress me, it could impress anyone. But now the devs won't waste money on it. What in the actual fuck, Microsoft...

---
Is it just me or has the Xbox One lost all mission or vision since it's inception?

It was originally going to be an priority online device, a la, a console to provide a "steam-like" experience. DRM restricted games, but perhaps at a much better value and cost then the current disc-based setup.

Now with Kinect dead - this system has lost all it's unique value. Besides an HDMI pass-through there isn't anything particularly exciting about it.

Microsoft help me, what is your goal for this pieced out "all-in-one" system now.?

---
(Current favorite:)
God damn it MS, seriously? All this time I've spent defending the Kinect as an integral part of the system and you drop it just like that?

You should've had the balls to drop the price to $400 and keep the Kinect because here goes any chance of any worthwhile Kinect support coming in any Xbox One games. How disappointing

---
I feel ya. I defended DRM and the Kinect. Pretty much done with that now. There's nothing left to defend and most of us look like asshats.

---
Bad decision after bad decision from Microsoft this generation. Like you said, they EASILY could have, and should have, simply lowered the price and taken a loss. The loss would be re-couped through their exclusive games, no question... Halo, Gears of War, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Forza, more...

This is just a stupidly short-sighted decision that will only put MS into more of a mess than it already arguably was. Fucking ridiculous, actually.

---
They said OVER and OVER that there would never be one without the kinect. I feel pretty betrayed.

---
huge mistake. I am really upset about this

---
I will gladly eat my hat on this. I thought Microsoft had more sense than to turn their back on a core vision for the console to satisfy social media. People who don't want an Xbox One will still find a reason not to buy one, and no doubt, I'm sure we'll soon hear the arguments that instead of the price point offering the same value as PS4, somehow it now offers less. I maintain that the right decision would have been to cut the price, keep the Kinect and offer more for less. It would remove the price problem and put pressure on the competition to match value.

It's no skin off my back. I have my Kinect and love it. I just hate to see innovation held back by backbiters armed with Twitter accounts.

Phil, if you're reading over this, I hope you have the E3 conference to end all conferences, because you've just effectively opened the door to another media circus this year.

I hope I'm wrong on that.

---
Now I'm not sure why I didn't get a PS4.

Some wonderful stockholm syndrome reading over there...

Yeah that sucks. Not sure why they've raised the PS4 price. Did it sell too well or something?

I believe it was raised due to currency fluctuations.

Amazing what a little competition will do. Even the 800 pound gorilla is brought to it's knees.

Yep. I'm pretty bummed. His stuff was the work of nightmares. Iconic. Like Escher and Dali, you could take one look at his work and identify him instantly (in a great way).

Extremely talented (and more than a little freaky) guy.
