Even Sony doesn’t know why PS4 is selling so well.

Good games combined with the huge missteps MS made...

I can't figure out if this is relevant to the Star Wars cut you're talking about or a stay copypaste.

How much better is the PS4 version?

It certainly looks nice. You have the choice of running it as 60fps, or 30 with enhanced shadows. I stick with the 60, as it's very smooth.

You also get most (not the new stuff) of the DLC, including the SP. And a nice hour and a half documentary on the making of the game (which is also on YT).

‘The Last of Us: Remastered’

I'm about 2/3rds of the way through, and it's certainly memorable...

Did you play the PS3 version?

Not a lot of it. For some fucked up reason (they didn't like the triggers) they had aim and shoot mapped to L1 and R1, which is totally ass backwards from every other game. This caused all kinds of frustration.

Thankfully the ps4 version allows you to swap this, moving to the usual L2/R2...

Microsoft pulls download links to Windows 8.1 August Update, recommends users uninstall some updates.

Exactly why I wait 2-3 weeks before applying the latest patches. Not exactly safe, but it keeps my machine from cratering...

The what now? Confused

As others have said, 3 mkv files under the name despecialized, by a gent named Harmy, out at a large body of water connected to an ocean or sea, formed by an inlet of water due to the surrounding land blocking some waves and often reducing winds.

Empire and Jedi are around 8 gig each (there's a newer version of Empire at like 18 gig, but I've not managed to snag it yet). Hope is 18 gig.

Over the weekend, I’ve had a mighty interesting experience. Thanks to a friend in the industry, I’ve had the opportunity to revisit Star Wars on Blu-ray as I first experienced it many years ago – unaltered, in 720p high-definition, and with the original audio mixes.

Still a rumor about Star Wars, but this news item last month makes it look that way.

Wonder how George feels about that, and if he had any say.

Speaking of revisionists, I got nervous a few weeks ago when Peter Jackson talked about going back and inserting more footage in Lord Of The Rings. Don't be a George, Peter!

It's good news about the original trilogy coming out, but honestly, this:

The goal is to release A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of Jedi in their complete, unaltered, original form without the redone special edition SFX.

kinda has me disappointed. Some of the SFX they cleaned up was really quite well done and it fixed some pretty glaring errors in the original. I'd have been happy with them leaving the upgraded SFX in, as long as all the retarded story changes Lucas made got axed.

Even so, I'll still buy it, of course, once it reaches a decent price level. I'm going to guess Disney is going to sell it for at least 50 bucks at first, and probably more like 80...

Grab the harmy cuts in the meantime. They're excellent.

shitty games on a shitty spyware system fits

I thought the "Steam is spyware" angle died down 5 years ago.

As for shitty games, I haven't played all of the ones on this list, but original sin is good/fun and most of the others are insanely popular if they are already out.

If you know of a better digital distribution system, I would definitely like to know about it.

I keep hoping Blue will add him to his Holiday Banning List he tends to do around t-day/xmas.

Luke, please keep mooing. We need more examples...

Didn't we have this discussion last week?

10 people are sitting at a table. 1 person just bitches and moans about everything and is never happy. They get up and leave the table. Now another person starts bitching and moaning about the person who was bitching and moaning and the other 8 people are now dealing with 2 people they don't want to listen to.

Well, he did kind of shit all over everyone here.

As for the extra money raised, that's going to things like hiring big name voice actors (which they reckon could cost $20-30m), developers (a substantial cost given the skills required), supporting the persistent universe for years, etc.
That's the worst idea I've heard yet. I hope they're not wasting that much. There are plenty of talented voice actors that could pull off what needs to be done at scale.

Yeah, that's a horrible idea. What a waste of money.
