Sad to see another missed opportunity, but they should have known.
Attaching a title like Thief to any game will bring a rather high expectations from the fans.

As long as it doesn't hurt the next DX game, I'm kinda fine with it. Frankly, I'm looking forward to the tears of certain people.

All Gran Turismo 5 DLC will be removed from sale.

Bit of a shitty move. And if you own the DLC, you need to make sure and download it and then go to the store and flag it as family upgrade...

J.K. absolutely nailed J. Jonah. Pretty much exactly what I thought the character should be.

Also, fuck Alec Baldwin. He and his rage issues aren't going anywhere, as it's obvious he loves the attention it gets him waaaay too much.

Is the quicksave system in now? (Just curious; I enjoyed the original campaign even without it.)

Yup. And I believe they're retrofitting it into the original campaign too.
Yep, the email says it's there for both now.

Ok what does that mean? Ive held off on buying the original because of the fubared save system. If I buy the expansion (sequel?) do I get the original?

Dragonfall is DLC (totally new story). As well as offering traditional saves there, they patched manual saving into the base game as well.

For anyone who enjoyed the winter olympics, I recommend The Crash Reel. Great flick...

Well you're all ready to dump on Gearbox but I'm on my first run on Borderlands 2 and am having a blast, great game. Sure they shit the bed with A:CM and DNF but those were not their games, so I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I think the Borderlands art style and humor would make a really good fit for another Duke game.

BL2 seems to be the exception to the rule, in their case. It's the first game of theirs that I actually liked...

Go! Go! Nippon!

So I'm looking at this game, trying to wrap my head around it. Why on earth was it made? What were the devs thinking? Who's the market for something like this?

Just...can't...under...stand... Wall

If it makes you feel any better...it's in the top 100 of sales, but at 86.

Sleeping Dogs for $5 is a hell of a deal. Sadly, none of the DLC is on sale, but it's in no way required to enjoy the game.

Gearbox can, as Duke would say, "Blow it out your ass."

First they squash the better Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded, just so they could squeeze sales out of the DKF they released KNOWING it would be SHITE, and they squash anything else by Interceptor.

F*** Gearbox. Never buying their trash again.

Yeah, I've just about had it with them...

Speaking of Thief...

Take it for what you will. Apparently Gamespot leaked the review on GameFAQs and quickly removed it.

And Banished is a brilliant game, mix of SimCity with survival. It does need a bit more content though, hopefully this success will encourage the dev to make a sizable expansion.

Saw gamefly (I believe it was) had it for $36 this weekend, an almost took the bait. But then I told myself by the time I finally got to it, it'll be under $30 by this fall anyway...

Seeing as my expectations are pretty much zero, if it so much as gets past the menu, I'll be impressed...

edit: link...

Right now it's estimated that every adult US taxpayer has subsidized Apple to the tune of about 50k per person. Nor does it say anything else about Apple abuses people around the world as well. But you go on being a corporate apologist for them. It's all your good for. Must be nice to live life without a soul or conscience.

Dude. That's $7 Trillion.

Actually, it's more than that. There's about 230 million adults in the US (assuming you're referring to those 18+), which would mean that, times $50,000, you're looking at $11.15 trillion, or roughly 70% of US GDP.

~140 million filed tax returns.

Where did he (cutter) even come up with that figure to begin with?

I was just talking with a coworker the other day about watching FMJ as a comedy, and always turning it off before they leave boot camp...

Same thing happened in SLC when Google Fiber was announced in Provo (about 30 min away). My speed doubled about 3 weeks after the announcement. No additional cost. It was followed with email spam proclaiming how great Comcast was and how my blazing fast speed would be all I ever needed.

Google just announced they're trying to come to SLC. I'm hoping I get another speed boost from Comcast until they get here. Maybe they can double it again.

That's awesome! Good luck with google. I'd be extremely tempted to try them, if the opportunity present itself.

Creston wrote on Feb 22, 2014, 12:07:
'Oh yeah, right! There's a bunch of people who hate the idea of what we're doing and are waiting to pounce on us if we make a single mistake'.

Again, why does this matter? Tim doesn't seem to get the idea that non-backers *ARE*NOT*IMPORTANT* when you've Kickstarted a game. Make whatever the people who already gave you money want you to make. And if they're fine with you releasing it in two parts, then release it in two parts, and to hell with the rest of the world. If they wanted a say, they should've put up some money.

InXile understands this far, far better than Double Fine does.

Yeah, some people are always going to complain. Their job is to try and make the best game they can, while also trying to make decisions that the majority of their backers will approve of. Sometimes that's a case of "our backers have asked for this, so it's happening" and sometimes it's a case of "as developers, we have to take this step, or the project may not live up to it's potential, even though it's not a popular route".

And I think they've done that, the same way Shadowrun has.

It's a "learn as we go" process, both for developers and backers. Thankfully, the people who are backers are usually some of the biggest fans, and in turn there's trust that the developer is doing the right thing, even if it's not what every single person wants.

edit: For the record, I've been very happy with how this and Shadowrun turned out. And I've also been happy with the progress of Wasteland 2, Dead State, Eternity, Delver's Drop, Torment, Consortium, and Hyper Light Drifter, all projects (and more) I've backed.

Look at that, all it takes is actual competition in a market for ISPs to start providing speeds they claimed they couldn't support only months before. Greedy fucks.

Exactly.
