What happened to the guy proclaiming it was the best game evar?

That was me. I still think it's one of the best shooters ever but it's unfortunately attached the worst matchmaking systems ever and a non-existent server browser. I think the only hope now for a decent shooter will be the new UT considering BF4 was garbage, BFH beta was garbage, and the new COD is just Crysis of Duty.

I was actual thinking of someone else, but now I gotta double check them...

edit: Nope, not you. This other poster was crowing to the high heavens about it...

I haven't been crowing to the high heavens about it. And I don't think it's the best game ever. But I do think in terms of gameplay it's the best MP FPS presently. I wish it had dedicated servers so I could join a community and get to know who I'm playing with though.

This person said "Titanfall is the best FPS that has ever been made".

Minecraft is a phenomenon the size of, if not bigger, than Mario. Almost all games up to the middle 2000's were really based on some variation of the Mario theme. skill based gameplay where the game presented everything you needed to enjoy it. Devs grew up playing it and that's what they made.

Imagine the kind of games that will come from devs where Minecraft is the base. Imagination, immersion, created your own fun. I love it. If you don't like Minecraft style of games, you better get off at the next station, because that's where this train is heading.

Well put.

Reason number 532 why the Internet press annoys me: Why is "apologized" in quotes? It implies that she did not apologize and that there is a double meaning to that word, when in fact there is not.

I read it as a partial quote from her, and not as a double meaning.

Instead of titling the article " "I was late. I apologized to IPG at the time" says Mayer", they chose to use a partial quote.

I'm not saying it's the best journalism ever, but that's how I read it.

Did you bid?

Oh, heck no. One, I'm not a huge aphex twin fan (though I did get in on the kickstarter, out of curiosity), and two, when it jumped from $500 to $1000, I was out.

I want to say it was originally sold to the KS guy for $13,000, so this is quite a bump in price. Though if it's true, there's only 3 other physical copies of that in the world.

Generally speaking, James' stuff is just a little too abstract for me. But to get a flac copy of a rare item for $16, I was in...it's suitably out there (stream if ya want).

Another cool trick he did, if you're not familiar with him.

The recursiveness of this is messing with my mind.

I'm confused as well...

I think one of the links might have been intended to be the exact same KS pitch that only managed to get 8 backers before failing last November.

Well that would make more sense...I just moused over both and saw they were the same link...

Project Update #2: Addressing Vostok Games
Posted by West Games ♥ Like

We have contacted Vostok Games about their supposed claim that we are fraudulent. They say that they have no relation to that claim and have since deleted the forum topic (https://forum.survarium.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3450#wrap) wherein a moderator accused us of being fake. The Kickstarter comments section has been completely hijacked by a couple of people, and even if we comment there, our posts will be ignored and buried. Misery LTD in particular is developing another post apocalyptic video game and is stirring controversy to attract people to his Kickstarter project. I hope that you, our supporters, can see through this delibirate negativity and help us make an awesome game with Areal. Update 2 is coming later today, and will clarify things even further.
