Obviously DRM is a failed, dead-end strategy. That's why there are so few games coming out on Steam these days, and I never see my friends using it
I'll buy my games from GOG or Humble Bundles when I can, but Steam feels more convenient to me than a DRM-free disc. Pretty much everything else feels like a burden.
And I think that's why steam gets the attention it does. It is DRM, but fairly easy to work with. And I can use it to chat with friends, see what they've been playing, and (if the devs were smart) easily join games friends are playing. Not to mention the huge sales...
It's not perfect, but IMO it's the best out there for all it does.

working with Ubisoft Montreal on the next installment in the Assassin's Creed series to follow Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, since Black Flag is already old news after being announced last month.
Commercials should start next week then, based on the BF media blitz...

Pretty much this. I buy Nintendo consoles for more then just those two, but not much more. Anything after Mario/Zelda/Metroid is a bonus.
