I was talking about the original campaign. But in any case, the game engine is way too limited. For a real Shadowrun experience, i would have liked free roaming in the city (or a more "live" city, a la Nomad Soul), open-world style, more Johnson's and corporations (and free choice in which side to pick).. This is not completely crazy demands as it has been done before for example, in the aforementioned Fallout.
Disclaimer: i played the tabletop RPG before, hence my desire for a more open-world style. And of course i'm buying that expansion, but that's because i'm a Shadowrun fan.

Well, had you coughed up the thirty million dollars roughly needed to make that idea a reality, I'm sure they would have been happy to integrate that for you. But since you didn't, this is what you get.

The game was made, with a completely functional editor, for LESS THAN ONE AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS.

Hello? Is this thing on?

"I am Creston's scorn!!!"

Hey lets add future support for a periferal that's still vapourware for the general masses. Imho until anyone who wants an Oculus can buy an Oculus off the shelf, then the Oculus is just a buzzword.

You don't think it would help with adoption rates?

Granted, they're running out of parts at the moment, but I expect that to be fixed.

Kids CGI movie, maybe, live action no!

(re live action) I'm having flashbacks to the Battleship trailer, and imagining this as a gritty, LOST knockoff (and not in a good way).

Not that I think notch would go for that...or at least I hope not.

I never really got into the TM games, but I'm glad it made it through KS, and I'm surprised how good this looks (specifically the integration of the live action and CGI backgrounds).

I'm assuming this might make it to steam? I'll probably grab it once it's out...

You jest, but I've seen painful threads on reddit, where people don't know the difference between native 1080p and a lower rez upscaled to 1080p.

Well, yeah. But with current rocket technology it's simply impossible, so until someone invents something new, it'll remain wishful thinking.

I saw something on /., I think it was yesterday, about people still kicking around the idea of space elevators. It sounds crazy, but who knows. The things we do today would literally seem impossible 100 years ago.

New update from KS:

We've had a blast developing Dragonfall and would love to continue making stories in the Shadowrun Universe!

To do that, we’re gonna need your help getting the word out about Dragonfall. Remember, we’re an indie studio and work directly for our audience - no publisher with deep marketing pockets here!

So, potentially more content coming, if this does well (and I can't see it not)...

3 person fertilization? Between the coming of Gattaca and Big Brother the future is looking very grim. Unless you're one of those Gattaca babies who grows up to work for Big Brother.

And Grand Budapest Hotel next week, woot! Can't wait! Wes is the man!

When he's on, he's on: Moonrise Kingdom and Fantastic Mr. Fox are so awesome, but Tennenbaums and Life Aquatic grated.

Man! Tennenbaums and Life Aquatic are my two favs! I love the idea of Gene Hackman and Bill Murray just being total assholes to everyone around them for two hours. And the soundtracks were killer! And so much Bowie in Aquatic!

Speaking of, I see Criterion finally releases Aquatic on blu in a few months. If you liked Fox, it's out on Criterion now.

I'd be more excited about Grand Budapest, except his movies always open in big cities first, before trickling down to BFE. So I doubt it'll be here (Tulsa) until a few months later. But I'm dying to see it!

I don`t see what the freaking secret is. Either it`s going to release with a 1080p rez or it isn`t. Instead of saying the rumours are false, then man up and give a definitive answer = yes it will release on consoles at 1080p, or no it won`t. *sheesh*

What`s the big secret?

Nice. I've been waiting for this before getting back into the game. The quick-save and save while quitting eliminates so many headaches.

While this is good, is this feature ONLY if you get the expansion? Does this affect the base game? I suppose I need to read up on all of this. I bought Shadowrun Returns on sale awhile back and have only played it a little.

Already patched into the main game.
