"Sierra’s goal is to find and work with gifted up-and-coming indie developers working on their own amazing projects or who are passionate about working on great Sierra IP,"

Never attached to the TR franchise here, so nothing lost here...though I can certainly understand fans anger.

Definitely going to make an effort and (re)watch some of his better films over the weekend. One of the few hollywood stars who seemed to truly be a good person.

I'm not sure I can, for awhile. I thought about breaking out Vietnam or Dead Poets, but I think it's too hard for me, right now.

Really sad he's gone. Terrific guy, one of a kind.

I only finished the game with a cheat that turned off the weapon degradation and never ending monster spawns.

I finished it without cheating, but still people seem to forget that SS2 had some very serious gameplay issues like the ones mentioned above! Also with the stupid ship layout and backtracking due to the "non-linear" level design, I never had the feeling I'm on board of a spaceship in the first place. And the "surprise" was so obvious a long time before it was revealed, that I was rather annoyed that they pulled off the same trick in Bioshock all over again....

One of the later patches allowed you to edit an ini to produce the same effects. I wouldn't call it a cheat so much as a preference.

HATE weapon degradation...

It just got WAY to repetitive and enemies respawned WAY too fast.

Pretty much my exact experience with it. I stuck around to see the ending, but damn it got boring...

Sorry if you all don't recognize a GOD of GAMING when you hear him speak. ALL OF YOU need to lick the ground Romero walks on. And I mean lick it clean. Romero coded the first and best shooter. Carmack blabbed while Romero pioneered multi-player. He coded and made Doom and Quake. Those two games defined the best shooters ever. If Romeros says jump then by god you better be doing a Carl Lewis special.

Lets all mark the minute, and the second, this man said the world would be blessed with another shooter. Everyone should feel blessed that he even decided to lift a finger to code a game. Seriously...

Yep. I'm depressed as hell now...

Yea, well, don't go killing yourself. Cowards way out and I am more pissed than sad.

Sounds like he was suffering from severe depression. Not sure how much free will you have in cases like that. It's not like his life sucked or anything, or he was diagnosed with a terminal illness that I'd heard of.

I was pissed at Hoffman. Still am, actually. But he did something stupid, something that's well documented to potentially kill you. But it was still an accident.

In Robin's case, it sounds like it was a conscious decision. And it's sad, that he was at that point.

Hey, that injured cosplay girl from a couple of weeks ago is recovering. Can you get two black eyes from a fall like that? I would think you'd also scrape or break your nose too.

I thought you could get black eye(s) just from breaking/resetting your nose, but I could be wrong...

edit: Glad she's doing better, and wasn't assaulted.

Never knew you played 117, Blue. I didn't get to spend as much time with it as I'd like, but I had hundreds of hours in F-19, the earlier version.

I am considering getting this for my PS4. I tried the Xbox version once, and the controls are so much better than on the PC. Of course, the PC beat it in every other aspect, but Blizz refuses to add controller support to the PC.

If they would let us have access to our pc characters (that are, you know, STORED ON THEIR SERVER), I'd be all over this. But I'm not grinding out hundreds of paragon levels again. Fuck that (and fuck them).

Oh yeah, no doubt. One person will do something, and then challenge a friend to do something more extreme.

Strike Vector is a fantastic competitive multiplayer game. It's a damn shame the community is so small. This game deserves a lot more recognition than it gets.

I would have grabbed it if it had bot support. But I also understand that that's more work, especially for a small company.
