I only bought Spelunky when it was on sale on GoG.

On Steam I bought (so far):
The Last Federation - just because it's from Arcen games, who are still supporting AI War
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
Brutal Legend
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary - didn't own the DLC so wtf

I didn't plan on buying anything this year, and was surprised what I ended up with:

Skyrim Legendary - like you, didn't have the DLC
Defy Gravity Extended - from Bats
Gone Home - from Complicity
Baldur's Gate 2 Enhanced Edition
Shadowrun Returns (Anthology + Soundtrack)
PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX+ All You Can Eat Edition

Gog:
Magrunner: Dark Pulse (free)
F-117A Nighthawk Stealth Fighter 2.0
Clive Barker's Undying
Ultima mega pack
Wing Commander pack (filling in what I missed)
Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now
Omerta: City of Gangsters (4 DLCs included) (free)
Still Life 2 (free)
System Shock™ 2

Was going to grab Original Sin, but I'm sure I won't play it for months (or a year, too much other stuff), so I'll wait for another price drop.

If you like V2, it's safe to say you'll like 3. I just got to the 5th mission and I'm loving it! The game looks and plays better too.

Exactly what I was afraid of (I have a huge stack of stuff and was hoping to skip it for now)...might have to break down and grab it. Thanks!

Whoa, the comments are pretty brutal.

Yeah, that whole thing I'm just ready to walk away from. I'm not sure who to believe any more, and in a way I feel sorry for those doing the project, as it seems like they're being assaulted from all sides.

I will say I'm extremely skeptical they can accomplish what they want to with a base $50K, and it's obvious they're not going to get the $1m+ they want to really do the project right. It's like they can't win no matter what they do...

I hear what you are saying nin, but in all honesty, they deserve the bashing they are taking. They have nothing to show on what they are working on. They have no videos of actualy game play or anyone actually working in front of a pc showing off at least whats being worked on. They keep giving updates about how they are being wronged, but they failed each and every time to present and solid evidence about this project.

Theres just far to may shady things about these guys that raises red flags that you just cant trust anything they tell you. The whole presentation was done wrong from the get go. Anyone that's clearly wanting to get funding for a project should start their video with an introduction, then show off what they are designing. Then tell you about it and where they are going with it and introduce the team. They failed on all fronts.

Can you really thrust these guys when they are only asking for 50K? that wont even pay for one guys salary for 6 months.

And then theirs the fact they state this game is going to be on all platforms. okay, physical disk for that matter on one platform along will cost around 90K How if the fricking world do you fund a project, build it with a team of 10 or 12 peoples they say is on this project and do it all with 50K?

If you can answer that one, then you must have some inside info. because these guys fail to even address that fact or tell us why they only need 50K do they have private backers that are funding them? If so why all the secrecy?

No, these guys are trying to make a quick buck off the community, and they know getting 50K is a sure thing when you start tossing around the name STALKER.

I can't really disagree with any of that, especially the multi platform part. Everything they describe just seems a little too vague, with not a lot of concrete details. I realize it's early, but the pitch (and what's done already and can be shown) can either make or break a KS...and in this case, it's underwhelming.

Picked it up last night from Green Man with 20% coupon. So far LOVING the game, it's a blast. I dont know if Rebellion is a crap company or not but the game they made is solid....imo.

Someone was claiming their GMG key was revoked, and I'd be extremely curious if that was true, as I've never had a single issue with them in the past, over (looking at my orders) 14 purchases.

How on earth do digital keys GET stolen anyway?

I wondered that as well. A retailer gets them, gets hacked, and then the hacker resells them to another retailer? And these other retailers are buying keys from some random person who approaches them?

I'd like some clarification...how many times does a key change hands between being generated on steam and the customer redeeming it on steam?

And according to this interview, the CEO still doesn't get why people don't like the game and has no intention of really making the big changes needed.

It's like he's saying they made a great game and people just don't get how great it is.

And any other year, he might be able to get away with that. But with Elite and SC being playable? Competition will be good!

Wolfentein - $30! Very fun game!

That is cray cray. It came out like three weeks ago!

And everyone, please buy Shadowrun Returns. If it sells enough copies, they will hopefully make more campaigns for it, and the Berlin one was awesome.

Yeah, it better sell enough that Machine Games does the Wolf sequel!

And +1 for Shadowrun as well! Give your devs a nice dinner, go buy that stuff NOW!

edit: Wolf is showing as #2 in sales right now, which for $30 is good. Also enjoyed the graphic of the pink team doing the old table toss.

Awkward...

On the flipside, if you're Tim Cook and you're the head of the second-most lucrative company in the world, and you have more money than most countries, what do you care if people know you're gay or not? Is that still such a major issue?

To be clear, the reason I sent it in was not "ha ha - Tim's gay", but what made me laugh was everyone going along, trying to chime in with something different, and then once the one guy says it, this hilarious awkwardness stops the entire conversation, and they all look at each other like "OH FUCK".

The video of it is at the bottom of the article...

Oh I know, that silence was hilariously awkward.

Yeah, you just know as soon as they went to commercial, everyone screamed "WHAT THE FUCK?" at that guy.

I remember, after playing the hell out of Wing Commander, WC2 come out and required a either a 16 or 25mhz proc. And I had a measly 12...I was so pissed...

Here is a picture to go along with drone war crimes. When you detach them from reality, then they can avoid consequences of their actions from killing people, of feelings of remorse or apathy. Obama in his infinite well of hypocrisy thinks its a joke, "watch out, we'll drone you."

Hate to break it to you but this has been how wars are fought for many years now. Pilots don't engage in "whites of their eyes" dog fights anymore. In fact a lot of times they'll fire a missile from 100 miles out and never see the opposition. Bomber pilots drop precision munitions from miles up where they can't even make out the structures on the ground and then they fly back to their home base which is thousands of miles from the battlefield. Pilotless aircraft were always the next logical step in the evolution of aerial warfare.

Exactly. Remember the 90s gulf war, where the tomahawks would basically follow the pattern of the road for miles and miles? When was the last time we heard about a dog fight? None of this is new...

A port for the Nokia N-Gage is also being worked on, but there is no ETA yet.
