Yeah but say a game you were thinking about buying got 50% user score on metacritic. IE half the users who tried it wrote unfavorable reviews on it. Wouldnt that strike you as particularly damning?
Based on the mouth breathing I've seen post reviews there, no.

Warren should realize that metacritic can be a useful tool for game devs, if taken with a grain of salt.
I use it as a jumping off point for various industry reviews, but there's no way in hell I'd read the end user side...

Game performance is also tied to FOV - the amount of geometric detail we put in each scene has been partly determined by this set FOV, and setting a wider FOV would have a performance impact.
At least they're honest.

OotB Off Topic: Has anyone used mediamonkey for syncing with an iphone? I really hate itunes, and was looking for an alternative, and it looks like it supports syncing, ripping (I'm still using audiograbber, from a decade ago, and it's looking long in the tooth), etc...

and while the game was a let-down per points that you all have already brought up, it still isn't *that bad* of a game.
The problem with that is people (rightfully so) compare it to D2...and from that perspective, it's a let down, and a step backwards in almost every way...
