Saw that Ford deal yesterday and chuckled. But comment was the one below it, about "Classic Han".

They didn't have to re-release the classics, you know... If it weren't Gearbox, you'd have a mobile remake instead (these guys were bidding on the IP, also). I doubt they're overly concerned with throwing money at the remastering when they could be putting that into the inevitable sequel.

Hang on a sec are you telling me Gearbox is also working on a sequel to Homerworld 1/2?? Fucking hell, that is not good news...

A year ago...(although I admit it doesn't feel like it's been that long.)

Oh lord, stay the hell away from Sprint. I'm on them and I CANNOT wait to get off. Horrid signal and service. T-Mobile may be my future but if I get a good deal for just around 10 bucks more a month, I'll even go to AT&T or Verizon. I'm so sick of shiiiiet signal and lack of 4G compared to all the other services.
Yesterday I'm at my mother's house and my phone BARELY has 3G signal. Talking 3G with like 2 bars of signal. Couldn't even get a web page loaded for the life of me. My sister's boyfriend is over with the exact same phone on T-Mobile and he had 6 bars of 4G LTE signal. I'm like...FAIL.

Pretty much this.

I used Sprint for 2 years, but changed to Verizon the same day my Sprint contract ended. The Sprint people were nice, but the signal was horrible. There were times my phone was just dead. Or it'd say 3G, but it'd be going slow as hell. Then my friend is sitting across from me with the same phone (iPhone 4s) but on AT&T and is doing just fine.

Dumped Sprint for Verizon and yea, I don't have Unlimited Everything anymore - but even the smallest Verizon plan is sufficient for me. I'm saving about $10 a month and I have a strong signal everywhere I've been so far.

Same experience here. I can be sitting inside by a group of windows, have 3/5 bars, and not pull up a web page. Sprint is atrocious.

Gov't control of media flow and connectivity is the greatest threat to free speech the country faces, not citizens who have a stake in it's businesses and a choice of which to support.

One Govt or thousands of corporations to choose from. Never choose government -- you'll lose regardless of your beliefs.

See, it's binary statements like that that make people think you're stupid.

When I read the title, a flood of specific parts of games came to mind; and I'm glad to see that a lot of them made it in the list:

- Battletoads speeder level
- Megaman laser level
- TMNT's water level (Help me, Rafael, you are my only hope)
- Earthworm Jim's glass sub
- and pretty much any game that didn't have a save feature or gave you a 37 digit alphanumeric code

What I didn't see make the video and should be the crown-jewel as it was near impossible to play was E.T on the Atari. I was 9 years old and spent months trying to figure out how to play it. I was convinced that I was missing something since game developers couldn't possibly sell a game that made no sense. I read through the manual countless times determined to figure it out.

Years later when I heard that it was the worst gave ever created and that it really doesn't make sense, there was a sense of relief that it wasn't just me.

I thought #2 was actually a pretty neat idea, at the time. Though I'm surprised they didn't mention Eternal Darkness' "same game eating" deal...

What i really appreciate is that this came out of nowhere and is fairly close to release. As opposed to headlines touting the announcement of an announcement of an idea of a game thats 5 years off, which seems to be par the course for most of the industry.

Firaxis is doing a lot right lately.

Totally agree there.

Yeah, when it did the first one, I thought it was a woman screaming. I have an open lot (where I suspect it was), maybe 100 feet away from a window, and it got my attention!

What irritates the fuck out of me is that Chris Roberts is on a panel like this, making a PC exclusive space sim that has "play me with a 24 axes, 200 buttons HOTAS" written all over it, and then this dude demos his own freakin game with a fucking Xbox controller at that totally incompetent PAX event. Seriously... Que el fucko?!?

Which is exactly what he did in the initial KS video, over a year and a half ago.

Yes, and it felt wrong even back then.

Two different analog sticks, 10 buttons (two more if you count stick clicks), and a D pad that can be used for at least 4 more commands? It's fine. That's assuming the player can't let go of one side for half a second to whack a keyboard key.

If THAT'S the biggest problem SC has, it'll be epic.

Not really trolling. How come a game that was supposed to be done 6+ months ago isn't playable at PAX today!? The game is supposed to ship in less than 30 days. WTF!? Why wouldn't you have people playing the game?

Its a scam. Game is going to blow.

Here let me throw MS a bone.

People should be bullish on pc gaming.

The #1 reason is their computers are running better than before. Complications are way down vs 10 years ago. Win 7 has been what MS needed since they started making O/S's.

Steam also has made it a lot easier for those that have PC's but don't want to learn much about them. Like Win 7, pc's for them just have to work, no excuses. Now I'm better off being able to tool around a pc, but I'm not also the mass market.

Also throw in you can continue to build up your pc at any time, keep compatibility. It's not really a surprise, good things should be happening in this sector.

Consoles designers don't quite get the whole picture yet, they are imo still doing a few things wrong and since PC's are running better, people are just leaving to an alternative that has almost all the answers. Sony's team will get it... MS's is lost (bone given back).

To me it all starts with ease, consoles always had it but with them came a lot of restrictions. PC's now are easy and the chains are off as always.

Not to mention that hardware has semi plateaued, and you don't have to necessarily swap your video card or proc every 6 months to run the latest and greatest at an acceptable level.

Ha, your timing is awesome, Blue. We've had a fox in our neighborhood (urban, but lots of trees) for at least a decade, but I'd not seen him in the last few years, leading me to believe he'd (sadly!) moved on or been killed. Maybe 5 years ago, I caught him trotting through the hood while driving home about 9:30 at night, and I stopped, rolled down the window, and chatted with him while he sat and watched me. About the size of a medium sized dog. Not huge, almost cuddly sized, but not something you're want to back into a corner.

ANYWAY. So about a week ago now, I hear some screaming about 2:30 in the morning...after figuring out it wasn't a person in distress, I assumed it was a fox, and your video confirms it. The :40 or so call is pretty much exactly what I heard, every 3-5 seconds, for about a half minute or so.

But it DOES get your attention at 2:30 in the morning, and you wonder WTF is going on down the street!
