What happened to cutter? He's posting in other threads now, and conveniently avoiding this one. How could that be??????

Perhaps he found our conversations too shallow and pedantic.

Perhaps you're right - we unwashed heathens have devolved so far, we're no longer worth his precious time.

What's the eye roll emote again? Oh yeah:

Saw The Martian last night in 3D. It was a fantastic implementation of 3D, and I appreciated how the story avoided any large plot holes. Gives me hope that the 3D in Star Wars will be good.

I only saw it in 2d (last weekend), but thought it was a fantastic movie. I think part of that success goes to Drew Goddard, who wrote the screenplay for that, and also wrote/directed Cabin In the Woods (an absolute classic, if you've not seen it), as well as worked on netflix's Daredevil. I hope we see a lot more of him.

I'll never understand the hoopla around those films. The first and second one were just OK, the third one was terrible. The only 2 funny scenes in both films were the Marvin Berry thing, and Lea Thompson with the fake cans. I don't know. I suppose I'm just not dumb enough to enjoy tripe like the masses do.

Everybody has their own opinions on what they enjoy. It does take a special someone, though, to think everyone else's opinion is tripe. Congratulations on being that guy.

It doesn't take a good actor to recognize a bad one either. That applies to everything of quality in life. And just because you and the rest of the masses are easily amused doesn't make it good. In fact it's quite generally the opposite in spite of your believing you and your ilk are cultural sophisticates. Congratulations on being just another one of the multitudes of those guys.

As I read all your posts in a Homer Simpson voice, I have to say "cultural sophisticates" was pretty amusing.

Check your emails too if you signed up for the Doom alpha. Got my "You're in!" email today for playing over the weekend.

I sent that in to Blue earlier, I'm not sure why he didn't add it...

Once Troy left, the show was a shell of itself anyways. The final season was okay, there were some funny episodes. I have no idea why Yahoo thought that it'd catch on as a web-only thing.

I'm still puzzled how they'd thought they'd make money doing that?

Think I'm lieing? I am not your internet mommy so dig up the information yourself.

That's not how it works. He who makes goofy statements is in charge of backing them up. Otherwise, it just looks like you're talking out your ass, with nothing to back it up.

I could only see pre-ordering tickets to a movie if I also get to pick my seat

I'm thinking that's a lot of places now.

Seeing a Star Wars movie in the theater IS doing something extraordinary.

Seriously. We've not had one of these in 10 years. If you grew up on this stuff (and these characters), this is a huge event.

I put in my PTO request for 12/17 and 12/18. Star Wars weekend!

I did the same here - was surprised no one else in my group had asked for the same time.

Check out Star Wars Rebels.

Already watched first season. I'm on board with this animated series stuff after seeing what they pulled off with CW's. First 3'rd of all the seasons start off with lighter, just ok stuff then get really interesting (and dark in CW's case from S3 on) for the rest.

Rebels is fantastic. They really captured the feeling of what Star Wars is.
