I wish Wolfenstein had gone a little cheaper, so more folks would have jumped on it. Fantastic game.

I...can't disagree with any of that, really. I've contemplated getting a mac a number of times over the years, until I see the price.

This is pretty outrageous. This kind of shit makes you want to go back to retail cd's and DVD's. The only thing Valve should be doing is removing the songs from future purchases of the games - to do it retroactively is absolute BS. This is a good way to make people lose faith instantly in digital services like Steam.

I suspect R* is the issue here, not steam. They're apparently the ones who decided to have one version, and not two, based on when you bought it.

Steam has removed the users ability to disable updates.

Not true. Go away troll.

I just checked - having also exclaimed bullshit - but it's true. The update options are "always", "high-priority", and "when it launches". There's no "never" option. I don't know when this change happened.

It shouldn't be legal to remove content from a game that people have bought. I'm sure they're covered by some small print but this seems wrong.

I'm not sure which is accurate here: Some are saying the option was just reworded, and that previously, you couldn't launch the game w/o getting the update anyway. Not sure I agree with that, but I never used the feature, either.

San Andreas updated on Steam. Songs removed among other changes.

Interesting. Not the mobile port/"HD" version that recently surfaced.

One Genius bar employee continued: "It pained me every time an asshole asked for the manager and got what they wanted. Meanwhile, all the nice people (who actually spend money) get screwed. You know it's common because society even has a saying for it the squeaky wheel gets the grease."

Sounds like he's new to customer service.

So they canceled Titan to make this?
No, this is what they kept from Titan ...

Yeah if you read what Titan was shaping up into it actually sounds like they just scaled back Titan from MMO to this.

If accurate:
Overwatch is a reworked version of the PVP portions of Blizzard's Titan, the long-in-development MMO that was overhauled in mid-2013. Despite reports earlier this year that Titan had been cancelled, the game was actually turned into Overwatch last year, according to a person familiar with the project.

Their funeral. I suspect they're going to try their own for the holiday season, and when it flops, they'll be back on steam in the spring.

Ubi has been making consistently decent games for a while now. I'm surprised this move took them this long. It makes sense for them to get that 30% back. They come out ahead even with a 25% drop in PC sales.

I wasn't impressed with Watch Dogs and have heard nothing good about The Crew.
