Woman charged with wiretapping for filming cops wins $57,000 payout.

Excellent. Shame she didn't get more.

Most important thing to remember is not to get frustrated. It will take some time to master the controls. It is not an easy game, but that is what makes it so rewarding.
If you go into MP and for some reason you end up loosing everything and have no ship (it can happen) just hit "clear save" and you will get your starter ship and 1000 credit, and off you go again.

There are going to be account wipes that resets everyone to the starter position anyways so don't get too invested in your ship and equipment.

Have fun!

Based on what I've read from you and others, I think my first order of businesses is learning how apply the most power to engines to run like hell.

Must be really weird to go back to the role you're most known for, decades later...

Damn, did they really need that Mickey Mouse promo shot...Ugh...

It's for some Disney park deal, so...just imagine it's Jar Jar, and Luke immediately cut off his head after the shot happened.

Maybe Mattrick can admit that he has no business being in the games industry, because he apparently doesn't know shit about it.

Though at least he provides easy jokes.

His "success" of late is rather puzzling.

Wow, didn't notice the price until you pointed it out. Rather ballsy. I'll be curious if it has the uptick the last one did for pc projects...

I have a wireless keyboard that I use as well. So for something like Freespace2, I'd would use a regular (maybe 8-12 button or so) joystick, but then reach over to the keyboard to adjust power to engines, shields, etc...

I'm sure it won't be as optimal an experience as a full stick/throttle setup, but I'm trying to avoid going down the road of upgrading half my computer in the process, if I can avoid it. Hell, your trackIR videos were veeeeery hard to ignore...

There I fixed that for Andreessen.

Yeah, he was rather laughable...

The definitive reason why you should delete your Facebook account.

Why would you use a program that admits to have an open mic, no matter who makes it?

No the name request is a one time only thing.
Yes the money and stats will be reset with each beta phase I believe.
Oh and if you are fed up with your mouse+keyboard controls or your xbox360 controller check this out a very highly recommended HOTAS for very little money. This thread where people discussing all the config options.

I was actually looking at that exact model last night, based on price...

I'll start with the 360 controller and see how it goes...I sometimes lay down and game, hence why I'd rather hold something...

When you login to MP your name will not appear in game you will be called backer #xxxx (x-a number )
You have to login to that website I linked and request your commander name what you will be called in game.

I figured that was the deal, but you don't have to request it again with every reset, right?

I don't mind money being reset, I'm fine with that, and frankly expected it in a beta environment.

Thanks again! Getting excited to check it out this weekend...

I'm not sure I totally understand that last sentence (I'm sure it'll make sense later, perhaps after I fully wake up), but I did go to the Command Name tab (assuming that's the right one) and put on in...Thanks!

Kicking off the install now, before work...

OK, SM, money dropped. Won't get to try it until at least tomorrow night, but I can kick off the DL in the meantime.

I'm thinking the last space game I played was Freelancer...been far too long.

Good on Netflix. Let less-informed customers know who the real culprit is. If I'm paying Comcast or Verizon $70 a month for 15-25 down, but they are delivering Netflix to me at 1mb down, that's an ISP problem. I'm being ripped off, because I am not getting what I pay for.

Seriously. Netflix is paying them. End users are paying them. Yet they can't seem to scrape funds together for improvements?

edit: drinking, one too many Ls....

Will it come with GfMFWL? It IS Capcom after all.

"Dead Rising 3 for PC will include Steam platform support with Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Steam Trading Cards, global leaderboards and full game controller support. Also compatible with the keyboard and mouse, players will be able to toggle back and forth between the two in real time. "

Wooosh.

I don't get your "wooosh" either, but I will say I'm pleased people are adopting the phrase "GFMFWL".

Great, as long as they don't completely muck up the port I can see myself getting this.

It was pretty fun on XBone, just not worth $500 for an Xbone.

I miss the bright colors/look of a shopping mall and Vegas (from the first two games). I see there's still crazy stuff to do/make, but I miss the vibe of the previous games. Would you say it's as fun as the previous games?

I probably wouldn't buy it anyway, as my video card is close to the minimum spec (between this and Elite, it may be the year I finally have to look at an upgrade).

I'm still annoyed that the automated turrets will target you if you don't exit or land within a set timeframe. Seems unrealistic to me.

I'll pick it up for cheap. I'd be a lot more excited if I hadn't burnt myself out playing 2 forever. (And that's more my fault than the games...)
