Oh man, I loved early Excalibur. But not too longer after it started, I got out of comics due to the insane crossovers requiring you to buy titles you had no interest in, the 3 million variant covers, the bagged titles, and the fact that Marvel stories were going nowhere, when the talent kept leaving to go to Image.

I'm actually trying to get back into them now, with everything going digital.

He could be playing any alien (or even a human). But it was nice to bring him back.

edit: Roles like Chewbacca and C3P0 could have been played by anyone this time around. It's a classy gesture to invite those back that made them famous.

Curious about the CBS offering. I didn't see a ton of series I'd be interested in, but they do offer all the TV Trek series...

You did watch The Sopranos, right?

Nope. I stayed with my folks - who are big Sopranos fans - in New Jersey (about 15 minutes from where most of the show was filmed) one year so I caught the odd episode but that's it.

Well, if you have prime, the entire series is out there, and highly recommended.

It's on the list. I still have to finish watching Jake and the Fatman.

Christ, you're almost as bad as a friend of mine whos trying to catch up on shit he taped on vhs a decade ago.

Did you seriously just ask "How's The Wire?"

Thought the same thing at first.

"Hey guys I just heard about this Breaking Bad? Any good?"

Nobody in my house watches any TV (which is why we have been without cable or satellite for 8 years). I had never heard anything about Breaking Bad either before I overheard two co-workers raving about it last year. I watched it on Netflix.

You did watch The Sopranos, right?

Dad dropped his HTC into the dog bowl. Probably just as dirty as the toilet.

I think I'd take the dog bowl, cause I know what goes on in the toilet.

Few Hours in. Grimrock 1, evolved. I always wanted to take Grimrock 1's gameplay and take it outside. That said, there is still a lot of inside (dungeons).

Graphics improved, atmosphere improved significantly, party creation improved, leveling system improved. If you liked Grimrock 1, this is for you. If you didn't, pass. It seems to be taking the best of the first game and expanding on it big time but its foundation is still very Grimrock 1

That all sounds very good!

If it wasn't Bono's/U2's idea, then why is Bono apologizing? His apology definitely seems to imply he had some say in the matter doesn't it?

I read it as he understood peoples disappointment, and since he was asked point blank in a q+a, felt the need to appease folks. He could have easily said "fuck off, wankers!" but he chose to be nice.

I'm not saying he was totally out of the loop of how things were going to go, I just feel like apple was in control and pulling the strings. Other artists (t-rezzo, thom yorke, radiohead years ago, etc) have released material in non conventional ways, and made no deals with apple. They just drop it on the web and watch folks come running.

Still a lot of questions, especially what exactly they'll offer vs price. If they don't do any better than what they offer on Prime now (older stuff, nothing recent), I doubt it's going to fly...they have to do better than that.

Easy way to stay Ebola free? Don't let in people with Ebola. What are various governments around the world doing? Letting in people with Ebola. If that doesn't say they want a pandemic I don't know what does. They can easily treat people in isolation off shore, in Africa, etc.

The problem is that the incubation period is like 3 weeks and shows no symptoms. How do you account for that? This Forbes article sums up why a travel ban will fail.

What if we called it Prezgate, would that change your mind?
