What about Alliance? It is a great game and definitely deserves a re-release. I think GOG should've actually released the entire trilogy, and only with updated graphics. Still have my trilogy CD's around, but unfortunately they won't install on 64bit OS without hassle.

Hopefully "soon". I would expect they're going to take one look at the sales numbers for these and have no question Alliance and XvT need to happen.

Alliance would be good, but I have 2 words for you:

Full. Throttle.

Moog mentioned Outlaws in yesterdays thread, as well.

Good times ahead! Between this and the GTA extras they announced earlier this morning, I feel like it's Christmas day.

Someone post screenshots. What's the highest resoluton we can get?

There are screenshots right on the site - http://www.gog.com/game/star_wars_xwing_special_edition

Unfortunately doesn't specify supported resolutions, probably pretty small I would think.

I'm curious how it'll look on widescreen displays. Hopefully not stretched.

Some posts from other developers are saying stay away from this like the plauge. They abused Early Access - took money and ran.

Links? Those should be fun to read. And I agree, based on how they decided to curb development, I wouldn't but it, either.

I can't get on GOG from work...can you copy & paste any relevant stuff back here?

It's just the store pages. $10 a game, and lists what it comes with, the system requirements (ha!) and some screenshots.

They are doing you a favour, you don't play these games with a mouse. Don't even bother. Dust off an old sidewinder/CH Pro from the basement and go for it!

edit: Although if the menus don't have mouse support that is hot bullshit, agreed.

Yeah, I plan to use a stick. I'd just hate for someone here w/o a stick to miss that, and buy them, only to discover they can only play the old versions...

Note that the newer versions require a joystick, while the older versions can be played with k/m.

Thanks, Disney!

Is anyone that is not running ad blockers having a ton of pop-ups with malware installs, redirects to infected sites, and even Trojans from Blue's ads?

For two weeks or so it has really gotten out of hand. To the point were I hesitate to open the site some days. I know a lot of people use ad blockers but I don't because Blue generates revenue from theses ads and by us clicking on them to get to Amazon and other retailers. Unfortunately it has gotten to that point today where I find myself looking for a blocker. Any suggestions? Free or not... as long as its good.

adblockplus and shop on amazon (follow the link)!

Wow, I already own the originals on floppies (including the B-wing X-wing expansion) and the "hi-res" CD version but I'll still be getting it on GoG. Can't wait to pew pew pew again!

I'll gladly buy both, just to have them running on modern OSs with minimal tweaking.

Goddamn, let's hear it for the maushaus! Never dreamed I'd be thanking Disney.

The day has finally come and the holy grail of classic gaming has arrived on GOG.com. Welcome, Lucasfilm games! You are among friends, here! We're proud to announce a new partnership with ©Disney that allows for the DRM-free release of about 30 classic titles from the cult-classic developer. We know you waited long for this moment, so we want to reunite you with those golden oldies with as little delay as possible. Today, to start with a bang, we are releasing a selection of 6 acclaimed titles from Lucas' most famous gaming franchises, so that the Disney/Lucasfilm catalog on GOG.com is made impressive from day one. Here are the great titles you can get right away:

Star Wars™: X-Wing Special Edition - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™: TIE Fighter Special Edition - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Sam & Max Hit the Road - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition
Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis™
Star Wars®: Knights of the Old Republic

Note that numerous Lucas titles, including 3 from the launch lineup (Sam & Max Hit the Road, Star Wars™: X-Wing Special Edition, Star Wars™: TIE Fighter Special Edition), are available digitally for the first time ever, ready to play with no fuss on modern operating systems. With more fantastic titles headed for our Disney/Lucasfilm catalog, you can expect to see Lucas games popping up frequently on GOG.com in the coming months.

Would much rather see a show go out on top and leave you wanting more than to drag on and soil greatness.

Now they need to set a release date for disc, so I can see it.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is Now Available for Xbox 360.

Apparently a port of the mobile version, but still looks good and appears to play well. Pop in for cars still happens, however (despite the increases draw distance).

OK, with the release of San Andreas HD on the 360, SA is no longer available for purchase on steam. HD incoming soon?!?!

edit: Been watching this stream. Looks good, but disappointing that even with the increased view distances, there's still car pop in.

RIP Jack Bruce.

Believe it or not, Ginger Baker is still alive and kicking. He was nearing the end (degenerative spine disease and emphysema) five years ago when this Rolling Stone interview was done. Good interview though.

Did you ever see this? I heard it was good.
