Wow, I didn't realize that spat would be in violation.

Nor did I. I was fairly restrained (perhaps in more ways than one, now ).

PoE's Beta is included at $110 tiers and up. Originally Divinity: Original Sin's Alpha access was going to be limited to the $135+ tiers, and they too sell early access on Steam. So what is your point?

What do you mean? He's not being positive?

Cracks me up when they finally get a console running at 1080p they have to brag about it, when most of us have been running at that resolution for years.

The new consoles are already dated, Hook a PC up that has a decent graphics card and attach it to one of the new 4k TV's and you will instantly see why.

Wow! No one here has ever said that before - even Blue, in the post above! How do you come up with this stuff?????

Remember to join the CREW!

JOINING!!!!!

Or you could find a crew to actually play with

I've not seen a single BN crew member in GTA online in 5 months.

To be honest, that's kind of how it goes with every Blues guild/crew in every game.

I'll play online again once it hits the PC, I just got bored with the ever-increasing hax and bullshit I had to deal with when playing online, to the point where I finally only just played in a private session. At which point I was basically playing SP without the story, so what's the point?

Yeah, I played crew only and never saw anyone...

Even though the video notes it at the end (all footage being from the PS4), I'm still a little skeptical of the shots. But then again, I was skeptical of the original trailers, too, and they were accurate.

Amazing what those guys do...

They've been talking about a new Star Trek series for years, so I'm not holding my breath, but it would be pretty cool if this did happen.

Would be awesome. Of course, that would mean CBS would have to stop being assholes about it...

Netflix doing it would also have the added benefit of the whole season being available on day one for binge watching!! Must. Not. Hold. Breath! Arghhhh

People would watch it all in 12 hours and then spoil the fuck out of it, too!

"OMG, the end of episode 8 was totally unbelievable, and ruins THE ENTIRE SERIES FOR ME!!!!!!"

Kind of reminds me of before and after diet photographs. Im not claiming they are fake or anything, but they could have at least used the same camera angle and vantage point for fucks sake...

The before and afters are pretty obvious, you don't need the same angle to see there is no foliage in one and a lot of it in another for example. It's not meant to be scientific anyway, its just showing people that there is a difference.

Yeah I get that. Its still jarring though. If I was the boss at Rockstar someone would be getting the axe. (Or at least a harsh warning )

The fact that they could get the game running at all on 512 of ram (for the 360 and ps3) means someone should be getting a raise!

Achievements? Why do developers think that people give a shit about those anyway?

Obviously enough people complained, if they are taking the time/resources to fix it.

I'd be surprised if anything new pops up now...

Overall, not a bad year, but not a great one, either.

Hey guys, honest question. I cant for the life of me enjoy this game because i dont see the point of getting better gear....just to get better gear? And i really really do love ARPG's, but D3 it just seems so pointless to me? Can you guys share your experience with me on why you play this as opposed to (any) other ARPG's?

Disclaimer: I don't play a lot of ARPGs outside of Diablo2 years ago, Torchlight, and now D3.

For me, the excitement is awesome boss fights/close calls, and the neat loot that gets dropped.

In the case of D3, I spent about a month at launch, before walking away. I came back for ROS, and while I played for two months almost nightly, I can't tell now if I'm burnt out, or that other stuff suddenly interests me more. The more I played of ROS, the more I tire of the grind. It's a balance: You don't want the game so easy that stuff drops every 5 feet, but you also hate to grind for two hours one night and have nothing to show for it (my current predicament, baring the new changes above).

I've pretty much got T2 under control, but I'm also not finding a lot of meaningful upgrades to continue, either.

Rifts I find to be a lot more fun with friends. Solo, I tend to play a lot more conservatively, which doesn't make them as fun.

So I'm at a bot of a crossroads. ROS made the game a lot more enjoyable, but at the same time, farming night after night eventually gets old.

Comcast turns Houston home routers into 150,000 public hotspots.

Paygate. What the fuck is that about? And as someone on /. says:

So does this mean that charges for copyright infringement (or other such activities) will no longer be brought against people based on IP Address evidence alone? Because this certainly gives a lot of people a lot of plausible deniability.

I'm going the DXHR route on this one of totally ignoring it, expecting it to suck, and then I might be pleasantly surprised once a few folks play it. But I'm not holding my breath or anything...

That's rather curious. It's also why I didn't craft much, as the drops were generally rare, or once you did craft, the items specs weren't what you hoped for.

Do you support legislating the labeling of everything because stupid people refuse to accept that the contents of a coffee cup might be hot and they should be careful while handling it?

You should watch this documentary before spouting off about hot coffee. McD's spent a lot of money to try and portray this as a frivolous lawsuit, when a) they should never be serving coffee at 195 degrees, and b) they shouldn't have had cheap cups that explode on a mere 3 pounds of impact.

That's fair and all for a specific instance, but it doesn't change the fact that lawnmowers need to have stickers warning people against sticking their hands in the spinning blades. For real. Hot coffee is just the easiest go to example for the practice of idiot proofing the obvious.

Was at a hotel in Vegas last year, and the fire sprinkler was on the wall, facing into the room. And they had this big sign above it about "DO NOT HANG YOUR CLOTHES HERE."

I've got it on cd somewhere, and I can't remember if it runs on 2K or XP. But it was an updated version only released overseas (I got it in the UK).

Wouldn't scumm (emulator) also run it? I admit I've not tried it...

In point of fact, the 3D games (Grim Fandango and Escape from MI) aren't SCUMM-capable, there's a sister project that handles those:

Oh wow, I didn't know that! Thanks!
