News Comments > Diablo III Season One Begins; So Does Complaining

So a treadmill game (which I'll admit, I'm playing) wants folks to restart on the treadmill, and then someone kinda cheats and hooks the front tire up on the treadmill and makes it go really fast, and everyone gets upset? "That guy didn't suffer like the rest of us!"

Another day at Blizzard...

She is nothing like Jack Thompson.
Thompson tried to sue game makers over school shootings. He tried to sue retailers for carrying violent games. He filed a suit against Sony for allowing certain games on their systems.
I have never heard Sarkeesian advocate censorship or legal involvement. I've never heard her blame a school shooting or any other violence on video games.

They're both looking for easy, quick promotion for themselves.

I still like SR3 the best. Zany wackiness with just enough grounding in reality.

Couldn't agree more. Was really hoping for a SR5 announcement, with a game that pretty much ignored SR4.

And like Thompson, one day she'll fade away, when no one cares about her any more. Unfortunately, that took Jack upwards of 15-20 years...hopefully she can attain the same level of failure in less time.
She isnt important. Its not about her. Its about the role of women in video games and the video game industry.

Oh, it's totally about her. She's detrimental to the cause she champions. It's all about money, either through a kickstarter, or encouraging folks to make monthly donations to her cause, so she can skate by while stating the same things others have said before.

So enlighten us then: how do you properly champion the cause of feminism?

I'm not championing anything. I just stated I think she loves (at least before the death threats) the attention it gives her, and that she chooses video games not because she cares about them, but because they're an easy target.

I didn't say you were. Your claim is she harms her own cause. So how would you do it then, if not through active criticism and calling out of the issue?

Let's say for the sake of argument she's not a 'real gamer' or whatever. What if a 'true' woman gamer came out and said "sexism in video games is bullshit?" Who decides the criteria of real gamerdom? Must it be so tied to one's core identity that any criticism is personally threatening?

Again, I'm not playing your game for you. I'm pointing out what a charlatan she is.

Aother Sarkeesian article, well she is definitely getting a whole lot more exposure, thanks to the death threat trolls or whatever.

Anita 1:0 Internet Dumbasses

So here is an idea, why dont we all STFU, let her have her say, and maybe just maybe people will catch on after a while that she is just another glorified critic trying hard to make a nice big juicy buck. Everyone smearing her all the time is just playing right into her hand.

Star Trek: The Next Generation Reunion Selfie.

Is that a photoshop, or did Shatner really stick his dumb face in there, so that we can't see someone who I assume is Dorn, on the right?

What a bastard...

Quitting smoking was one of the best decisions I made in my life awhile ago. It opened up so many other things, I started mountain climbing, biking and being able to actually taste food again was wonderful.
I quit nearly eight years ago, and I'm still waiting to experience thse benefits. So far the only noticeable change is the 60 pounds I gained and have not been able to lose.

That's because you've replaced your smoking habit with eating. Before when you were bored you probably smoked, now you probably eat. You need to replace it with something healthier, like drinking

While I don't smoke, I was under the impression that smoking itself increased the metabolism. And thus, when you quit, it slows. So what you ate before with no weight gain could potentially now cause weight gain.

I have to say, I'd not heard the original song, and after watching this, was mildly curious what it sounded like (based on the beat of the mix included here). Anyway...I hope Sir Mix A Lot got paid a shitload of money, as (from what I listed to), it ripped off his song entirely.

Because when I clicked on the All Digital Deals it didn't seem to include blsne09.

Amazon seems to do that. When we were testing it earlier, if you follow Blue's link from OotB, it shows the blsne09, but the moment you click on the Amazon logo in the upper left corner (to go to the front page), it drops it.

Hey Guys,

Just got hit with a virus from Blues. Went to this page, and immediately Symantec came up with an interception (I don't think there's anything wrong with that page. Subsequent visits returned nothing. I think it was random, via the ad banner). When I looked at the page, I could see that the top banner was missing completely, so the ad must have been replaced with the download code vector. It tried to download setup.exe. Virus info via Symantec Endpoint here.

Email that shit in.

I whenever I see TV Chefs smoking and it makes me wonder how good their food could actually be. I tend to assume they over season (i.e. a half pound of salt), because that's the only way they can taste stuff.

I work over by a hospital and am alarmed at the number of staff there that smoke, sometimes still in scrubs...

Well said Eraser, but it wont convince the fanbois. Its not Blizzard being cheap and not having enough servers for peak demand. Its never Blizzards fault.

These guys hit the PSN servers with 263 Gbps of traffic. That's in addition to whatever regular traffic they sustain. It really isn't Blizzards fault, use your head man.

Which guys?

Lizard Squad? The guys that have been ddos-ing blizzard and sony, on and off this week, and calling in a bomb scare last Sunday?
