I can almost feel it.

I highly suspect you're right...I'd love to see a remake of 2.

Capcom is basically the devil's nicer cousin, which is still really evil. So, no support from me. If you're really interested in this, I suggest you wait for the version that includes all of the games, which is sure to come later.

Or get Mighty No. 9, when it comes out later this year.

Oh, man, I just saw this posted elsewhere... They barely touch on it in the Capcom blog, but this is being done by a company that's looking to update lots of old games like this into modern digital format. They have a platform-agnostic engine called Eclipse, so that once the game is converted from its original format, it can be played anywhere they port the engine to. Several projects are in the works, Mega Man is just the first to be announced.

http://digitaleclipse.com/

They've done a lot of arcade ports. I had their Midway and Genesis discs, among others...

Also, I had no idea they were making a movie based on "The Martian" book.

There was some footage that got screened at a con a month or two ago, and io9 said they liked it.

noting in some cases players can get refunds after experiencing most of the game's content within the allowed two-hour window

Is it really unreasonable to ask for more than two hours of gameplay?

edit: Creston beat me to it.

Wow, 15 minutes and then they want you to download an app? Seriously? Disappointing.

Hope it's good. Loved DXHR, and I hope this continues the trend.

I like Netflix and Amazon Instant Video, but I know that they could drop Star Trek The Next Generation at any time. For a fan, the smart choice is to own the show. The same is true of music.

Exactly!

Apple Music and the terrible return of DRM.

Don't have a lot of pity for folks that rely on streaming and then complain about another service. If you like it, own it, with the expectation that you're responsible for it's future. Services will come and go, but something you bought and future proofed * (as much as you can) can last decades.

* Currently in the process of wav, flacing, and mp3ing every disc I own, trying to beat the clock before cd drives go away.

My father-in-law was in the Korean war and as a general rule would not watch or read ANYTHING related to war. This was his decision apparently most of his life (he's in his early 80's). I asked him, just out of curiosity, if he would maybe consider watching 'Band of Brothers'. At first he said, "No, I don't think so", then after I told him that it was respectfully done and brutally honest in it's portrayal of WW2 in Europe, he said ok. His wife said he watched the entire series in just a few nights with her and was glued to the TV. She said he really appreciated the interviews with some of the real guys that were actually there and lived through that Hell.

That's very cool to hear! Great that he was able to enjoy it w/o it being overly painful to watch.

I liked the Pacific series. Maybe not as much as Band of Brothers but it is certainly one of the best mini-series out there and bonus points on being on the Pacific theatre which often feels buried by the European theatre.

I need to watch that one again. I've only seen it once, but at the time, I remember thinking it seemed overly gory compared to Band of Brothers (legal disclaimer: yes, it's war, and people can do very savage things to each other). And I agree, it seems like the pacific isn't talked about nearly as much as europe.

edit: I see both Band and The Pacific are $21.99 each on amazon right now. Use that Amazon link on the front page!

Between that and the internet cafe deaths (where someone plays for 70+ hours non stop and drops dead) that part of the world is the epitome of go big or go home. That's just crazy...

Sad to see Lego Worlds is single player only for now. Sad that the last TT Lego game to have multiplayer online was Lego Star Wars.

I'm really hoping that one turns out well. Would have jumped on it, but want to see more concrete plans of what the future brings.

It's de rigueur to watch Saving Private Ryan around this time, and that's a great movie, but if you're hankering for an alternative "D-Day" movie, I suggest Edge of Tomorrow, one of the best sci fi action flicks of the past few years.

Band Of Brothers is also fantastic.

I only use the XBOX console controller for action games so I wonder how the Steam controller stacks up against it?

Based on the trackpads for both thumbs, there's going to be a learning curve no matter what you're used to.

(Having said that, I still think it looks awesome.)

To their credit I suppose what they are trying to do with Win10 looks a lot better than GFWL ever did.

Having a nail pounded through your dick would look a lot better than GFWL...

Might even be more functional!!!
