Game length should not be something anyone should base their decision to buy or not. Is the game fun is the better question to ask. Games can still be short and shit, but they can also be long and tedious. With that said I like long sprawling games, but then again I never even finish half of them.

I agree with that, but $60 for 5 hours of SP (if true!) and no multi is pressing it a bit, I feel like.

I'm hopeful, but I'm worried.

Glad there's finally a non-violent game where you can peacefully use a firearm to destroy targets which would never represent people. Have to keep the homestead safe from stationary paper targets and clay pigeons flying away at speed.

Sounds like Receiver.

The Order: 1886 Leaks to YouTube in Full, Playthrough is Five Hours Long.

There seems to be a lot of debate as to if he was basically speedrunning it - people specifically say he was just running from checkpoint to checkpoint w/ little to no stopping. Also that he played on the easiest setting...going to wait and see more impressions.

I'm not going to pre-order GTA V because chances are high it's going to be a POS port.

I'm not taking any bets, but I'll say this...

One, I've not heard anyone complain about how Max Payne 3 ran on the pc when it was released. Two, it (edit: GTA) was released on two x86 based consoles last fall, and it runs and looks great.

k, also just saw via gamerdeals that Wolf Among Us ep 1 for ps3 is free at Amazon - something I can play 1 handed I think.

It's a great game, but don't drop any money on it until you're sure you can do the QTEs...

Anyone keeping an eye on 1886 The Order? Looks like ps4 only maybe?

That's in the "please don't suck, but I have a bad feeling" group. And yeah, it's ps4 only.

So how long is this age of "post-apocalyptic zombie survival crafting games" going to last? The Worth a Buy on H1Z1 showed me enough to stay a mile away, at least for now.

A little longer than the WWII FPS age...

Sad to see evolve at the top, all the videos I have watched of the game it looks very boring. Is anyone here playing it, have any input?

H1N1 has been selling more copies than evolve the past few days, which made me giggle. Right now, 6 other games are selling better. Hopefully those that bought into it now realize what a bad decision it was.

Finally decided to back it, only to find out that their brilliant new Shady CC Middle Man no longer accepts discover. Ergo, I can't actually back any KSers anymore.

It sure was a BRILLIANT decision to switch away from Amazon Payments.

Technically, it was amazon that fucked up first...

Since its founding, Kickstarter used Amazon Payments for this, but claims it had to make the switch because late last year, Amazon decided to discontinue the payments product that Kickstarter was previously using. That decision led Kickstarter to analyze the possibilities, and ultimately it chose the well-liked and growing company Stripe

Only time I ever played GTAV was at a buddies house on PS3 a couple years back near when it first came out, I've been waiting very patiently to experience it on PC proper the first time through. Haven't even seen the newer console versions besides a couple snapshots.

It looks really good, but there's still a few jaggies here and there. I expect those to be gone with the pc version.

While I never really cared for Mortal Kombat, I noticed that they used the Dos version here.

Is that really the best version? Cheap-and-easy, sure, but it doesn't seem ideal from an end-user perspective vs arcade emulation or even the earlier Windows version.

I'm not sure how many versions their were, but the Windows version steam sells is still saddled with GFMFWL.

I was also looking at the BT400 for wireless. Some folks claim it works with the DS4.

Sorry for the late reply here, but looking at either of the pages for the DS4 drivers and the forums on their respective sites and PCSX2 forums, you should be able to find a compatible bluetooth dongle that will work. I believe it has the same requirements as the PS3 controllers, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR support, but just to be sure I would check with what is recommended by users of these drivers. My bluetooth dongle was $7 ordered from china and works perfectly, but I havent tried it with PS4 controllers, yet.

No worries! I hear some folks <claim> that the ds4 is persnickety with what BT chipset it connects to, but I've not tried it myself.

Keep meaning to get back to this project...

Don't be shocked if John Oliver gets the job. Jon isn't leaving before September, perhaps later if they need him to stay at the desk until a suitable replacement can be found. John Oliver was so successful at filling in for Jon Stewart while he was off filming his movie that he got his own show...but i doubt that little web show came with a long term contract. If Comedy Central wants John Oliver they will get him.

Let's face it, Oliver is the only man not named Stephen Colbert that has even come close to being able to do that show. If they go with someone completely new and it fails they will kill all the momentum that show has built up over the last 16 to 17 years. Why do that when you can hand the ball to Oliver?

I'd be a little surprised. I would think HBO knows what they have, and as GOT shows, they're not afraid of spending money to make money.

Having said that, whoever pays more money, more power to them. He's a great guy, and he deserves his success.

The last time I installed a game from a physical disc was probably around the time of Morrowind, so could honestly care less if they ship the rest of my stuff without it.

I think it's cool they let the backers decide, instead of just "this is what we're going to do".

But are they letting A backer decide, or is it 'democracy'?

Everyone who's registered on their forums can vote. I voted for the first option, as I'll be using a digital copy anyway.
