I'm sorry to hear that, Prez. That sucks, to put it mildly. Hope things get better for you soon.

He also doesn't say it's a Kickstarter system.

I'm not sure if I should give you the Jackie Chan "WTF.jpg" or the Ellen Ripley quote about IQs dropping sharply while I was away...

Tell ya what: I'm going to leave you a collection of dequer's greatest hits, and you can decide the wisdom of freakie deakie.

There's this.

And this.

And this.

And this right here.

This brilliant fucking gem.

A Deep Thought.

Another deep thought.

Yet another, on the topic of Star Citizen.

An important message to developers.

And another.

On the topic of reading.

But then chiding someone else for not reading.

More chiding.

Deep thoughts on blizzard.

More deep thoughts.

Oh wait, reading is bad again.

And that's just from the 5 most recent pages of deeqism. God knows how many brain cells died when he typed that. Please do not encourage him.

Sounds like there is a system in place, under the hood, that allows people to "donate while no one else is"

So, you have your two options:
1) Donate
2) Donate as reserve only.

And where exactly is this documented? Because I've backed 45 projects and never once been asked that.

They're too far away with less than 24 hours to go. They're not going to make it.

Shows how much you know about the way crowdfunding works. There's always a big push towards the end. Always.
I was keeping an eye on the last few hours. Something fishy was going on. A huge batch of pledges came in to get it over $600K, and then they started losing money as new pledges came in. It was like someone propped it up to get it over $600K, and then started reducing their pledge as other new pledges came in.

I mean we've seen crowdfunding pops before, but they made 20% of the required minimum in the last day, all to end at just %0.3 above the required minimum. It's all very unusual.

It does seem odd they scraped by with just $1700 past their initial goal.

I have a core i5 750 (2.66GHz), a 660OC and 12GB RAM. If I overclock my CPU to 4GHz and am able to run this on max settings then I don't need to build a new system.

I have an old i7 960 (3.2g) this is supposed to run it. I'm a little skeptical, but I'll give it a shot. Going from a 560 to a 960 on the video should help as well.

I am waiting for post launch where bonus is removed.

If you get all that in-game cash upfront you can go straight from BB gun to mini-gun (I imagine) or Beetle to Porsche, where is the fun in that.

Guns only unlock at certain levels/progression. When you walk into the gun store starting out, most of the items are unavailable. And you can steal cars from anywhere...

ccording to Rockstar, the recommended specifications are based on hardware that can run the game at 1080p, at 60 frames-per-second. For that, Rockstar suggest a Nvidia GTX 660 2GB or AMD HD7870 2GB.

Fucking awesome. Don't care about 4K right now.

Driving and shooting was easy with a M&K in GTA4, why would it be any more difficult in 5?

One of the cool things they added/changed going from last gen to current gen consoles (and I'd be shocked if the pc didn't have it as well) is, instead of a single button press to aim/shoot (IE the gun begins firing the moment the button is pressed, even if you're not on target yet), now you can have one button press to aim, and then another to shoot. Or, you can also change it back to the traditional method it was before.

There's lot of cool options like that, also how you can specify what you want the default camera to be in car, or on foot. They seem to have embraced the idea that people play the game differently, and try to support as many options as they can.

The aim and shoot in GRA IV PC are different buttons, did they change it to one button for GTA V in the old gen consoles?

I was referring to the car portion that HElf mentioned. Could have sworn in was a single button in 4 as well? Granted, I used a gamepad. But in 5 on the ps3/360, it was a single button, in car. But now it's an optional two.

Pretty sweet price for the 2

I paid full price for the main game last year, and had zero regrets. Finished my replay earlier this year and still didn't find all the secrets (dammit).

Looks fantastic. I need to go play through HR again before this hits. Haven't played the Director's Cut version yet. Didn't they add some ways to avoid the boss fights?

Yeah, they've basically redesigned the maps to include a method to include a hacking system to have security features do the work for you. The second boss is still annoying though. Also, the Director's Cut has problems of its own in regards to crashing and such. I ran in to BSODs with the DC version until I turned VSync on but there are others in the Steam forums who have other problems which seem to be untouched.

Never understood why they didn't patch the DC. I stick with the originals, even with having to jump back and forth to Missing Link.
