I asked them if they are releasing a regular edition of the dvd/bluray set, and they said Yes though, which is cool.

Oh good, I was hoping for that.

Thanks!

I admit that I had a lot of doubts they'd be able to reach 5.5 million but I'm really, really glad they did.

I really wish I could have kicked in, but between xmas and about to move, I didn't have the funds for it.

Still, congrats to them - hope to pick it up, at some point.

My Star Wars tickets are for imax showing on Friday at 8. Reserved seats so no waiting in line. The only issue I will probably have is avoiding spoilers all day Friday. Guess I'll just have to unplug that day as much as I can.

I got Friday night with friends and then Sunday morning for just me, all reserved seating. Figure I'll unplug about Wed or so...

And what do they mean "already"?

edit:
As early as last Saturday afternoon -- a full 12 days before the event -- diehards from a group aptly called "The Line Awakens" started setting up camp next to the historic Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.

OK, that's more respectable!

I just tried a first person game with the Steam Controller today. I tried it on Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist, and it was surprisingly easy to get used to. I did the trick with the gyro for smoother movement control like they showed in one of the videos. It's still not as good as a keyboard and mouse, but it's way better than a controller. I think it will work fine for single player FPS games. I might try playing Fallout New Vegas with it, which I had just started a new game right before this pain in my arm started.

I didn't have high expectations for the Steam Controller in first person games because I tried playing The Stanley Parable with the XB360 controller a while ago to see how well I could adjust to using it in first person, and I hated it. Maybe I'm weird, but I couldn't get used to the layout of the controls. I don't know if many games let you rebind controls when using a controller, especially the analog stick axes, but The Stanley Parable doesn't let you change anything. It uses the left stick to move forward/backward and strafe left/right and the right stick to look up/down/left/right. I naturally want to move forward/backward and turn left right with my left thumb and look up/down and strafe left/right with my right thumb. I was having to constantly concentrate to move around and look where I was going. I kept playing, and just as I would start getting used to it and relax, I would revert back to wanting to do it the other way.

The Steam Controller's settings I used were similar to the XB360 controller with the analog stick moving forward/backward and strafing left/right and the right trackpad to look around. It took me a few minutes to dial in the sensitivity so I could do quick movement with the trackpad and fine movement with the gyro, but after that I didn't
have a problem adjusting to it at all, it just felt right.

That all sounds great, I can't wait to grab one, hopefully after the holidays.

Great game, but I don't know if I'd be able to finish since they patched out the cheat codes, I could never make it past the final reaper ski race.

I missed that. Why would they do that?

I'd never get the flu shot, they're really dangerous. A good friend of my mom was one of those unfortunate people who was paralyzed by one.

They are lucky the paralysis wasn't permanent. The government and corporations are happy that people will inject whatever they're told to into their arms. It's all about the money, it's not about Grandma.

There's a good reason the majority of health professionals don't get them.

My friend's sister's mother's boyfriend's uncle......he got a shot and was just fine.....

It must suck for these people to live their entire lives in fear. Just everywhere they go, terrified something is going to get them.

I hope the legacy of this game are the techniques used to create the visuals, and applied to future games.

Like something with decent gameplay!

I was actually pretty indifferent about playing this game until I saw this video. Man, that looks awfully pretty.

In fact, the desert canyon scenes look better than any of the outdoor stuff in the prequel movies.

Don't be fooled - it looks and sounds fantastic, but the gameplay is utter crap.

along with my annual flu inoculation, because I don't like getting sick. I'm okay with needles, but the shot was extra painless anyway, at least at the time. The next day, however, the arm where I got the shot felt like it had been shot. I don't even know what to make of that, as there's no black-and-blue mark or anything. It's like I have a case of the arm flu.

Oh, you're just tempting the fates with all the nuttery around here lately!

Mine was sore for about a week afterwards...

It would have saved a lot of lives in the past, and more in the future. Unfortunately, it's a necessary step.

WOW.

The ONLY thing Trump is helping with is identifying all of the fucking ignorant, bigoted and racist assholes like him in this country.

It's nice of you guys to step up front and center and seemingly want to be recognized for the horrible pieces of shit you are.

If it stops your terrorist attack, it's well worth it.

Uhh, no. No it isn't, if it defies the very values that this country stands for. That's some serious "destroy the village to save it" bullshit right there. Let's just do the fucking terrorists' job for them, huh?

It's kinda funny how all the tough guys out there just shit their pants at the thought of a terrorist sneaking into the country. We've got more than enough home grown nutcases shooting up various venues, and they don't seem to care to do anything about that. Hell, they still fight to make sure that people on the fucking no-fly list can still buy all the guns they want.

You guys fed him, so he's going to keep being a nut...

But thanks for the laugh, I guess...I think it tells you everything you need to know about him, when he says crazy shit like that.

I can only hope that that guy and Trump are somehow involved in an violently painful, yet slow motion car crash, that takes several hours to finish.
