Only watched part of this, but it looked amazing...I'm trying not to get overhyped, but damn it looked neat. At one point, he even throws a grenade over his shoulder...

What happened to him was really terrible, and no one deserves it. Regardless of your personal opinion of the guy.

This isn't cool, and the guys who attacked him are far worse than Phil himself.

For those who weren't paying attention, that's from the polytron website.

I visit /v/ every day. every day. that was never posted there. It seems that he doxxed himself. If someone from /v/ did it, it would've been posted all over that board, and reposted until the end of time

interesting...

This is why I'm hesitant to start pointing fingers. In the other thread, someone pointed to some conversations posted as a single jpg. But since that's a collection of images (and not links to the originals, which in all fairness could have been deleted), how do I know everything there is accurate/correct, and not a photoshop, rearranged/relabeled as the person doing it sees fit?

Hmm, I've got a pending Amazon order. I don't see the banner ad though.

Blue, have you ever thought about putting up a permanent link? Look at the left nav of this site. They have an Amazon link there so you always have access to it.

I noticed he repeated the ad today (below OotB), so maybe he plans to keep it there. The one think I don't like (on Amazon's end, not Blue's) is, after I follow the link, it keeps it in the URL. But the moment I click the amazon link in the upper left of the page (to go to their main landing/home page), it appears to dump that extra URL info, that gives Blue credit.

Wish they did something like their charities (smile.amazon.com) where you set a group you want to support, and it's remembered on your profile (as long as you go to smile.amazon.com).

edit: Not trying to nose in here, but have you looked at widgets, Blue (is it amazon associates you're using?)? I see there's a search box one:

https://widgets.amazon.com/

Once the KS was shut down, I kind of stop following them. I believe they claimed they raised like 12K on their first non-KS day (routing folks to their web site). Assuming all those numbers are correct (and that's a bit of an assumption, at this point), it would seem to point out there's been next to no growth since the first day.

Glad they got caught, and KS finally stepped in.

The only things I've seen out of this whole scandal is that video game journalism isn't particularly trustworthy, which we already knew, Phil Fish is an absolute cock who I probably wouldn't even know about if it wasn't for his diarrhea-esque twitter account, and that the "SJW" members of the gaming press have finally hit the point where they can't even comment on one of the biggest stories around right now because they've spent so much of their time stirring the pot to create the environment that this spawned from.

The journalists look bad, the gamers look bad, and it all just seems like a bunch of dirty laundry being aired to give people something else to be angry about for a while with no solid facts and no possible positive outcome to ever be generated from it...over a game that next to no one actually gives two shits about and most people never heard of before the scandal.

That's a great summary. I watched the 5 guys video, and (while I admit I've not read every single thing written about it) it seems like you have both sides accusing the other, and the rest of us only have their opinions to try and deduce fact from. And we can't, really. I don't see the point in taking sides or speculating when all we can go off of is someones opinion, and seemingly no actual facts.

WTF, they've made five sequels to Fast and the Furious?

I'm embarrassed to say that, with enough alcohol, they're mildly tolerable. Specifically when they switched to the heist format...

You could do a lot worse...I tend to pad my netflix with movies like this to make me feel like I'm getting my moneys worth. You want to talk about bad, go rent Rock of Ages. Holy fuck, I was so drunk I don't even remember the ending, other than Alec Baldwin suddenly turned gay and it was a horrible movie (and not because Alec was gay). No amount of alcohol could save that one!
