I've tried so hard to get into F3 but I just couldn't.
F4 looks pretty cool but I am not sure I'd like to spend the money to just abandon the game after a few hours.
Not to mention it's a $70 game on Steam. Not sure whats up with that price, even the console versions are cheaper.

Wait 70 bucks for the standard edition?

Fuck.
That.
Noise.

Showing $59.99 US (steam). That's before GMG codes and the like. Where do you live, SM?

Picked up the full season of Life Is Strange purely based on the Overwhelmingly Positive from 16,650 User reviews. Has anyone played it? Good? Great?

Heard it's really enjoyable, but I was waiting for the "season" to finish. There's 5, right (and 4 just launched)? Or is it 4 total?

Man killed by escort was likely a serial killer, police say.

Been reading about this the last few days - that's some crazy shit!

edit: Also, in reference to the goat video...there is nothing more disturbing than the back end of a pregnant goat. It's like looking at 70s porn. Knew a guy years ago who raised them. Cute when they're little, but they shit everywhere.

Fair point. For a start, because it's the localhost address that means for the headline to be accurate the "seed" would have had to have been coming from the exact same machine used to compile the list. Highly unlikely. Of course, it's possible that the machine was briefly acting as part of a torrent swarm in order to get peer IP's, but that would very unlikely to be long enough to provide a full seed and in either case this would be an authorised act on the part of the agency hired to perform this locate-and-takedown function for the studio.

Also given the suffix to the localhost url, others have noted some some P2P systems run via a local proxy meaning that this full URL including the #/fr/ bit is a call to that proxy which then connects to peers from there. It could either have been left on the list by accident, or to avoid people googling this exact URL to locate more information connected with piracy and how to use these utilities. Either way, not a "pirated copy...seeded from its own servers".

So yeah, stupid clickbait headline, highly unlikely to be accurate. I think some of the things these companies do is disgusting and self-serving to a stupid extent, but I'd rather save the collective indignation for stuff that's actually true.

Cool, thank you! (I didn't click the link, so I was wondering what the deal was.)

I wish I had the creativity some of these folks come up with. I would have never have thought to try and build a pod racer, and yet this guy nails it.

Okay, fracking does not cause a 4.5 Richter scale earthquake. The 0.8 ones etc, yes, but not one that you can feel 300 miles away from the epicenter.

Some pretty poor reporting from the guardian there. Sadly when it comes to tech, sometimes the temptation to reach the clickbait headline rather than get someone more knowledgeable to fact-check wins out.

If you're going to say it's incorrect, could you elaborate on why exactly????

Why in the fuck would you even need a password manager anyway?

I guess it depends on how many you have? I use password corral, and it shows me with 109 different passwords right now. That's across email addresses, various sites, banking, and medical.

Just noticed the Terminator commercial. Wonder if they got Cameron's permission on that, seeing as it's a shot for shot remake of his scene.
