At the end of your "project", don't mistake the amazing films you just saw as representative of the Hobbit trilogy. It's painfully inferior, packed with obvious time-fillers that add nothing to the story.

Like Star Wars, it's best to pretend the original trilogy is all that was made.

Yeah, by the end of that last Hobbit movie, I was just shaking my head. I was thinking how best to describe it, and the phrase "George Lucas Wank-A-Thon" to mind. Whereas LOTR had CGI, it also felt like it had a lot of physical effects, especially during battle sequences. But Hobbit felt totally CGI.

I backed this and loved the old Bards Tale, but I cant help feeling that these stretch goals are goals they already had planed to begin with and are just trying to entice people to further back the game.

Kind of feels like they are not putting forth their best foot for these types of stretch goals.

Just my feeling of course.

No, I totally agree with that. It would be curious if they didn't make the stretch and then announce a few days later he was hired (as rumored).

Was pondering a rewatch myself, but like you point out, it's a huge time commitment.

Surprised you'd not seen them...

I suggest they work on making a better game, their initial game was quite mediocre.

Were you really surprised? Everything shown before release was a cheap ploy to garner attention.

Surely there aren't many chumps over the age of 12 that actually want a plastic pip boy thing and even fewer that would actually wear it

Ours is a hobby, like any other. How much for a new hunting rifle? Or a new set of golf clubs?

I agree, to some extent, that (at least personally), I have too much plastic crap from various CEs. As a grown adult (turned 40), I don't need any of this shit. But I also have a hard time faulting people that enjoy a given franchise so much that they'd love a physical representation of an item from that world. (If you truly love video games, you're a bit of a nerd by default, and I mean that in the most honest way, myself included.)

I didn't find it boring, but I found it a bit too dark. Only made it through 1 season.

Fuck, it got a lot darker (Krysten Ritter's exit was particularly hard to watch). I really liked it as a whole, but as it went on, it felt like the slight bits of humor disappeared, and it became harder to enjoy. The last season was the hardest. For me, once Hank and Gomey were killed it was the point of no return. One could safely argue that Walter got what he deserved, but the collateral damage was the hard part to watch.

I've not been able to watch it a second time. Too haunting.

edit: Having said that, I'll be checking out Better Call Saul.

Sometimes I don't even have to look to the right, to know who posted something. Sad.

So where exactly is the CE voting? I can't seem to find it, their layout there is fucking awful.

edit: Ohhhh...you have to use the fucking arrow on the right of the screen, for a website obviously designed for tablets. Bang up fucking job there...and that's the only way to get there, as I still don't find it in the drop down menus.

What a fuck up. Their web designer should be fired.

Developers sure do love dicking with each other…

In a case like that (selling an emote collection for $20), they kind of earned it.

Watching bungie scheme with Bobby is just disgusting.

It still feels too much like Spore all over again. Amazing demos, massive universe, yet utterly shallow in the end. I hope I'm wrong but this nagging feeling won't go away.

I worry about that as well. I hope it's awesome, but nothing I've seen blows my mind. It's like I'm more in love with that concept than what they've actually shown.

I think it's cool they got his endorsement, but even as a huge fan of DXHR, I still feel like it's something different than what the original was.

Which is fine. I just consider it a different take on the same concept.

Okay, so this is a “community made” mod, with the developer marked as Prism Studios, not something officially done by Valve themselves. Reading Blue's original story didn't make that clear to me.

It looks incredible. Valve should hire them.

I heard this is them poking fun at Destiny somehow, but I don't get it. Did Bungie ask people to take selfies with some other beverage?

Bungie did some stupid shit about getting a code for a quest by buying a can of red bull. Which went over like a red brick.

Here ya go: http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3awbib/red_bull_quest/

edit: Notice the part about "Destiny consu(mers) are used to paying a premium for downloadable content similar to this quest." That tells you all you need to know about them.
