Why NA only? If these games were available in Europe too I would be downloading Mass Effect and Dead Space right now, these are both games that I wanted to buy but didn't due to the DRM in the retail versions. I don't have the official word, but I have heard that its some sort of temporary issue that should be resolved next week. |

Can anyone confirm that the steam version of this game have no DRM, particularly Securom? Because I don't want that shit on my computer. Thanks. As I stated earlier, Mass Effect on Steam uses only Steam and no other systems.
Are you an the live team getting moved over to The Old Republic? If so congrats, and send me a alpha/beta invite Hahahahha. No, but we are fully embedded in Dragon Age. TOR is down in Austin and we remain up in Edmonton. |

Heya nin.
I am checking into the Mass Effect "periodic" message on the Steam page. It is incorrect and I am getting it fixed ASAP.
Mass Effect on Steam only uses Steam, if you catch my drift. |

Well, since [VG]Reagle stole my joke...
I think that developers and publishers, already burdened with DRM challenges, will not be that interested in getting involved with yet another possible problem area.
This sounds like a retail packaged goods problem, so the retailers should do what they think is right to handle this, but anything that should stay in the physical realm and none of thier plans should touch the disk content.
But that's just me. |

| Yeah, that was what I was thinking. In high school, we were told that Walkmans would all make us deaf. I am sure I have lost some hearing over the years, but I can definitely point the finger at the concerts and car stereos that I willingly listened to. |

Is the BDtS DLC going to remain free permenantly, or is it going to be a 'free for now' offer the be replaced by a nominal charge once the next content pack arrives? Free forever. |

| Yeah, its pretty horrible. I mean, they don't even have a "previous" button to go to yesterday's cartoon. And the old "Archive" page that I had bookmarked, they just deleted so I am greeted with a 404 page. |

Mass Effect's save games and settings are stored here (XP in this case):
My Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\
Saves, logs, settings, etc. are all in there.
They've already said it won't have the DLC: http://au.pc.ign.com/articles/865/865541p1.html Not in the box, but we haven't announced when/how its going to be made available for the PC. |

The current English/Spanish games install size is 9.6 Gig - FIG is about 11.2 Gig. Throw in some save games, and we went with 12 Gig as the safe call for the drive space, just in case some files had to change at the last minute.
Man, you should have seen back when the game was at 38 Gigs. |
