Here's a screenshot of a bunch of Korean-named mobs killing people. Why is that unusual you ask? Because those aren't supposed to be there. Someone summoned them in using packet spoofing. From a code standpoint, there's zero excuse for why that should be possible.

Lets all take a moment and recognize how glorious that name truly is though!

50GB of disk space?!? If your ISP employs a data cap you'd better plan well in advance for the download. I realize the download won't be 50GB, but it won't be less than 30GB.

When I saw that Shadows of Mordor was 34GB, I could almost feel the letter my ISP would likely send me asking what the fuck was going on even though we don't have a (visible) data cap.

Shit is getting out of hand.

Blows my mind that he still has a mega-profitable film career after Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. Then again, he's a comedic legend when compared to a fuckwad like Kevin James.

I just want to punch that guy right in his stupid face every time I see him on TV.

Hmmm, nah. I'd rather wait on the inevitable port of Destiny and give Activision my money even if it takes a year to happen over giving any to Gearbox and Shitford.

It looks great but I'll wait to pick it up once it leaves the 'be honored to pay us more money' early access bracket. $75 is too much for me to justify spending even on finished products.

Weird, I never looked in to Elite Dangerous before and not sure how it was never on my radar. Does it play like Eve without spreadsheets and more action-oriented? Does it function well with a KB/M? Newbie friendly?

I'm going to look in to this today.

but how many of those 7m register, play it once, and never go back?

Not just that but multiple accounts as well. Either way, Grinding Gear Games deserves this success and should be used as a benchmark on how F2P games should play like.

Now if only they could use some of that money to create god damn pants for several of their classes. It's the only reason I play Shadow, well, aside for being the best class in the game of course!

They'll eventually run out of time periods to build a game around so this kind of overlap seems like an inevitability.

I mean, they could just jump the gun like History did about a year ago and release some kind of bullshit 'documentary' about The Great Martian War for the sake of not bumping in to a scenario they've already touched on in the past then all the sudden, something like Attila isn't so bad.

I'm not worried about it when they've come out and said that WoW has another ten years of content which means another ten years of bringing in insane income if they were good on their word. I wouldn't be surprised if WoW maintained market supremacy for that duration either.

all in all, they already have a chicken that lays a golden egg. Even if subscriptions are going down they'll eventually stabilize while reaping the reward of Hearthstone and HotS on the side.

When I was on the toilet today, I thought about whether or not I would call a game like Einhander 2.5D. I came to the conclusion that I can.

Still waiting on the first one to hit the $10 or less bargain bin which I may have missed in the Steam Capcom blowout sale last week.

Six years ago, where were those of you who played in WoW?

We were probably wrapping up T5 and progressing in to T6 with me rocking the Feral Druid.

News Comments > MS/Mojang $2.5B Deal Confirmed
4. Re: MS/Mojang $2.5B Deal Confirmed Sep 15, 2014, 10:16 Wallshadows

Minecraft could use a way to make all the mods, launchers, and texture packs consolidated to a single central hub rather than scattered across the internet. So many launchers, mod packs, mods, and textures that are either compatible or not or simply running on specific versions can be a little ridiculous to navigate if you're new to the game or in general.

I don't think Microsoft will do that but, if they do, they'll find a way to make it that much worse.
