If things continue like they did last year, we'll get to $10-15 by December and I'll pick it up for under 10 with an Amazon coupon in January.
And I'll never play it of course. |

Well thats the first bit of news to get me interested in this project. Life of Pi was stunning.
Also, its always nice to hear stories about people who can hold down a job while playing WoW. |

Someone has it out for...VLC?
One of the first things I download on a clean install. I usually dump it on parents/friends computers and they always ask me if they should "use that cone thing" but when I turn my back they've got videos open in quicktime or wmp somehow again. |

Sold out folks, thanks for hating- er, playing.
Who would have thought that running WoW would be a more negative influence than partnering with the Sith Lords at Activision? SC2 and DiabloIII were probably more effective as WoW promos. Get you onto BNet, see your friends playing, nice item for you.
I appreciate the level of polish in SC2 but D3 was too big of a jerk move for me re:DRM. So even though I want to like this company I find 2 out of its 3 products reprehensible. |

Kickstarter works really well if you don't kick in for anything. I'm not sure these passion projects that get funded without me will last forever though, eventually we'll have every obvious idea kicked (pretty much genre revitalization and genre mishmashes) that can be done on a small budget and end up back at square one. Maybe we'll have one or two devs in the aftermath who can still fund new ideas. |

I ran an emulator on an Android tablet to check it awhile ago. It works fine but the controls are garbage. Forget touchscreen Mario, the onscreen gamepad just isn't sensitive enough.

It would be pretty funny satire if you play a henchmen who just gets his ass kicked by Batman no matter how much you level up.
Fully expect it to be perfunctory but hey guys someones got to make progress on third person action net code. |

Verno wrote on Apr 23, 2013, 13:00: Don't really care about Futurama being cancelled, it had a much longer run than it deserved considering the post-comeback quality. Futurama is dead again, long live Futurama.
The first Comedy Central season back was pretty funny. Usually the show is entertaining to watch even when the jokes are not on target.
I don't regret this, but I both rue and lament it. |

Yeah this game is awesome. So much content its unbelievable.
I got all the way to the chest once with IPECAC and then got the Mirror which made the game unbeatable because all of my bomb shots would float around me instead of going anywhere. RNGGG!!!!! |

The Half Elf wrote on Apr 18, 2013, 16:34: You can revive Heroes as long as you totally ignore the last season. Make it a bad dream or something I don't care, but bring back the original writers. Agreed. S2 and S3 were passable. You'll always have issues with power creep and they actually dealt with it fine. But S4 was bizarrely regressive.
There's actually reason to believe this could be good, #1 being the series creator Kring hopefully wouldn't be attached. You know how they planned out each season's stories? One episode at a time! They were improvising as they wrote each arch. I think this explains a lot... |

I hope we get holodecks instead though. Then I can have 40-50 hologames on my ElectronCloud account that I never get around to playing. |

I remember that Terminator ride haha. When the T-10^5 sticks its blade out towards the audience it was amazing.
Some movies looks good in 3D. Life of Pi looked great, but it was bright and colorful and filled with scenic vistas.
Mostly though, like others here, I just forget its in 3D after awhile and stop noticing it. Maybe when they combine high frame rate and 3-d we'll get something special. The tech can always improve. |

Beelzebud wrote on Apr 14, 2013, 14:03: Project Unity seems like an awful lot of effort to get the same results as a modded Xbox 1 with emulators on it. Most of the reason people emulate things is nostalgia. I tried to get people younger than me to play some old classics and even Chrono Trigger didn't translate readily anymore. Sure these games are still great and if you can get into them they're as good as anything modern, but really its nostalgia that gets you to run zconsole and pop in mario 3.
And what's more nostalgic than taking your physical copy and blowing on it? The cartridge is like a piece of your past crystallized. |

| It is kind of funny how in this day in age Kim Dotcom was able to hide behind tech barriers to generate tons of money off of the media industries and they weren't able to do anything about it (or at least nothing punitive). Sort of goes hand in hand with the whole bizarre bitcoin thing. The internet lets you do anything, usually anything ends up looking like Second Life though... |
