This looks interesting, I like old school RPGs The screens remind me of the good old SSI AD&D games, like Pool of Radiance, the Krynn series, and so on. I played each and every one of them back in the day (including drawing all the maps on paper).
Definitely need to check this one out, I guess (well, after Legend of Grimrock, that is) |

Hmm, I was looking forward to this, I enjoyed the first two games, but when I saw the screenshots of this new episode... *sigh* another RPG Construction Kit Game (don't know how it's called, too lazy to Google).
Not that I didn't enjoy Cthulhu saves the world, I enjoyed it a lot actually, but only for some hours, then it got boring as hell. Too repetitive, combat was getting boring too, it's just always the same, and the dungeons very uninspired after some time.
So I think I'll pass on this one I guess |

Agreed, Google definitely had the best one(s) this year But Notch's Mars Effect featuring "A game ending that makes sense." is also highly valuable |

Silicon Avatar wrote on Jan 31, 2012, 14:09: They were released one month apart and TA stomped all over it. Whenever I went to play DA all I heard about was how awesome TA was. Totally agree. Total Annihilation was absolutely stunning due to new 3d rendered game units, which was new to the genre. Dark Reign was mostly ignored at that time, but after having finished with TA and then switching to Dark Reign, it was a very good RTS of its time (also, one of the best). |

Shadowcat wrote on Dec 17, 2011, 00:09: If only everyone who released Steam-only games would follow through like this, I wouldn't have any issues with the platform at all. What's the problem with the Steam default "DRM"? It's convenient and non-intrusive, and you can access your games all the time in your account. I am having problems, however, when 3rd party DRM is added to Steam games, which is an instant no-buy. Some time ago, the Riddick series was on sale on Steam, I was so tempted to buy it, but the 3rd party TAGES protection prevented me from doing so. |

Starbreeze's expertise in the first person shooter and action genres Well, the only FPS they had was The Darkness on Consoles... other titles were only 3rd Person. But they made Enclave, which I enjoyed a lot back then, and the Riddick titles. Still not so sure what to expect from this. |
