LOL what a load of BS. From the law firm's explanation:
Although modification of Xbox consoles is against the terms of use for Xbox/Xbox Live, Microsoft "conveniently" timed the Xbox console ban to occur just after the release of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game and less than two months after the release of the very popular Halo 3: ODST game.
And also just plain incorrect - the bannings began around Halloween. (I realize MW2 leaked right before the bannings.) |

I didn't think I would be, but it looks like I'm waiting on this one. Too many other games out right now, and to be honest the demo managed to turn me off the game a little.
Hopefully they'll have a special soon  |

| I didn't expect to keep my character...since I downloaded the demo through Steam, uninstalled, and purchased direct from Runic. But when I started it up, there he was in all his lvl 5 glory! |

I dont understand this & the link is blocked at work. So people have to install Steam if they were to purchase it from D2D or Impulse?

The SP is a sequel. The multi is a tacked on prequel...
Well that's not confusing! 
A comment on a different Bioshock2 post today I think got close to summing up why I might feel a lack of anticipation - the story just doesn't seem to warrant another Bioshock. So, like you said it ends up looking like a tacked on expansion. |

I'm absolutely with you there, and I also can't put my finger on exactly why.
I don't know if it's the 'prequel' nature of the second game, the 'play as the first big daddy!' hype, or what. It is still a prequel, right? I feel like I've heard conflicting information...but then again I haven't paid the closest of attention. |

The disc is also free and is a temporary fix until they build a player into the xmb.
I've read that by not offering it on the dashboard, they may be working around MS/Netflix's exclusivity clause with Xbox. Though that idea came from Michael Pachter via Joystiq...so take it with a grain of stupid. |

| Yep, no problems here either. And I actually purchased the game yesterday as well (though I guess it was still installed from a free weekend). I blinked and the game was ready to play. |

| An AO rating from the ESRB is a de facto ban as far as consoles are concerned, if I'm not mistaken...remembering the Manhunt fiasco. |

Hey Z9000 I'm gonna go buy a PS3 today. What games should I get?
I don't have a PS3 yet, but when I do get one I'm going to be sure to check out Uncharted (though I've heard the new 3.0 firmware is causing freezing). Might give Killzone 2 a try...
Buzz! is also a lot of fun when you have friends over.
Some of their PSN offerings like Fat Princess and Flower seem interesting, but I haven't tried them out personally. |
