It's Gaelic - it means "Erin go braless!", meaning Julia Roberts in "Erin Brockovich", of course.

So ,does Mrs. Blue go with you to LAN parties?

If not, that's a real double standard, and I think you two have some issues to clear.

(God I just love that pop-psych double-talk!)

15. TRON is GOD Mar 13, 2002, 15:48 theAntiELVIS

I LOVE this movie. And I loved the old vector-graphic arcade games. To be honest, I hate the idea that they're making a new movie or a new game!

The old TRON is a classic, a part of history, they invented using computer effects in movies.

Anything done now, game or movie, will be just part of the new digital herd.

16. Connery IS Bond Mar 13, 2002, 15:39 theAntiELVIS

All the rest have been pale imitators, or worse. Especially Moore, whose Bond films were essentially comedies.

Brosnan actually isn't bad. He plays it with the edge Dalton gave it (stolen from Connery), and the sly humor (stolen from Connery), but without the personality of Connery.

But it was really the 1960s that made those early Bond films the classics they are. It was the "jet set" background that just doesn'y play as very interesting anymore. But you can still watch an old Bond film with Sean Connery and get that sense of excitement that is lacking in the newer films.

CONNERY IS BOND!

29. Give it a rest! Mar 12, 2002, 18:42 theAntiELVIS

When I was a kid we had hunting dogs, anywhere from six to eight at a time. These dogs ate whatever there was- table scraps, carrion, garbage, and each other if one happened to pass during the night.

I don't know what kind of pussy dogs people are breeding these days, but it all sounds like too much trouble to go through. Special diets, following them around watching what they eat, chopping their shit up with a stick to look for parasites.

Of course our dogs weren't pets. They were work animals. IF they got too old to do their job, we shot them. It was a farm, and we didn't subscribe to any of this new age bullshit where animals are people or had rights or any insane crap like that.

They live in the backyard. You throw shit out there for them to eat, whatever is at hand, and watch them fight over it, like nature intended. Personally I find the whole idea of keeping pets ridiculous. If animals aren't performing a useful service, like rescue work, hunting, or being food, I got no use for them.

That's why all this crap about "vanishing species" is just that - crap. Species become extinct all the time. Always have. It's nature's way of saying "you're useless". When human beings become useless I hope we have the good grace to just go without causing too much of a fuss.

19. The Best Spam Ever Mar 2, 2002, 18:34 theAntiELVIS

"Horny sluts are waiting for your big dick!"

Now, let's analyze this. First, it assumes that sluts interest me. Okay, that may be a fair assumption. Second, it assumes I have a big dick. Well, okay, I confess there, I do.

But the idea that someone, horny and sluttish or not, who doesn't even know me, is somehow anxiously awaiting my big dick just seems silly. And if they are, why didn't THEY tell me about it? Why do I need this intermediate third-party to pass the word via email?

So I was suspicious right away. I clicked the link, and, yep, it was a porn site.

6. Carnivores Rules! Feb 24, 2002, 15:53 theAntiELVIS

It's the only hunting game worth playing. C2 was tons of fun. Sure the graphics were dated and the dinos are dumb as dirt. They also scared the piss out of you until you got good at it and figured-out what all those hills and cliffs are for.

But the best thing about it was the terrain engine - not sure how it will be in a city setting.

"Pre-alpha" - that means when you click the icon, something happens, but there's no telling what.

Nearly $2 billion in 2001!

Wow!

Now, if we all work just that much harder, and really pull together as a team, I really think we can double that in 2002!

Let's all do our part!

The problem with B&W was it tried to be three games at once. A builder, a combat game, and a strategy game.

I agree about the competing gods - they were just annoying.

But, it is a truly revolutionary game. Especially as regards AI. Also the interaction with the little guys - telling stories in-game - was totally new.

11. I choose not to believe Feb 11, 2002, 12:49 theAntiELVIS

I will just figure that, were he not married, Blue would not be watching chick-stuff like "Sluts in the City" and dog shows.

When one is married, there are certain grotesque activities one must engage in simply to maintain one's relationship. For example, doing laundry. Real men don't do laundry - we just buy new clothes. Unless we're married, that is.

Likewise with the whole real plates and utensils thing. It's a chick-thing. Otherwise china wouldn't exist and we'd all just use paper and plastic, as God intended.

I mean, Sex in the City? It just can't be by choice.
