5. A petition to ban the Internet.... Jun 5, 2005, 16:49 theAntiELVIS

....on the Internet. This is a joke of course - or the greatest irony imaginable. It's like how the "Ban Comic Sans" people use Comic Sans to illustrate what they want to ban.

Damn that's creepy strange! It reminds me of the character Christopher Walken played on SNL - the "sophisticated" guy who would trap women in his apartment.

If they are going to put ads in games, then they should make their money off the ads and we shouldn't have to pay for the games.

9. All sequels May 6, 2005, 17:56 theAntiELVIS

Not a single NEW game idea in the bunch - those are all sequels (or sequels to sequels to sequels...).

It's like Craptivision, Electronic Farts, and all the rest of them are terrified to take a chance on anything new. And the rare times they do release a "new" game, it's well within genre limits: WWII, driving game, etc.

Innovation is the last hope for the indie developer, and vice versa. They are the only ones who can take the risk. What was the last innovative game idea to get produced by a big company? "City of Heroes"?

What's really amazing is not that she always has the same expression on her face, but that it doesn't vary by even a millimeter - it really is exactly the same. As if she had a gallon of Botox injected just about an hour before.

Litigation is every American's God-given right!

Only a Godless commie would even consider not suing!

If you don't sue you are literally taking the food out of some lawyer's family's mouths! DON'T LET THOSE LAWYERS STARVE!

3. Two unlikely things Feb 6, 2005, 16:42 theAntiELVIS

I imagine a Christian game would be about as entertaining as Christian rock. Not. Like rock music a game with a "message" would be somewhat contrary to the entire context of the medium. Plus you have to get so specific as it relates to your own beliefs that it can't possibly have mass appeal - there will be too much for the average person to disagree with. That's why there isn't a whole lot of "protest" music anymore - it narrows the market.

Now, on to Stan Lee making games: the idea that someone who doesn't play games can make a good game is akin to the idea that someone who doesn't read books could write a good one. Sure it might happen once or twice - but not likely.

"It does not push the envelope or bring something fresh to the genre, since we feel that there is little place for innovation in today's action games market"

Which is why you jumped right in? Or do you feel that there is a lot of room for milking cash from the action games market? So screw the innovation?

In other words your game will be pretty and predictable?

I may buy it just because you told me up front not to expect too much....
