Yeah two things. Origins and the inclusion of AI in the game. I dont mind bots, you know if you want to practice and shit, but the inclusion of bots with real players in the same game just doesnt make sense to me. What is their purpose? Are they some kind of MOBA XP fodder or something?? Also the mech part will be some kind of unlockable powerup or something, so basically you run and gun COD style, until you unlock the mech at which point you run and gun COD style just bigger?? This game is confusing...

I dunno, call me weird, strange and perverted but Im thinking a crowd showing up at the front door of the powers-that-be with torches and pitchforks while trashing police cars and whatnot, and setting government buildings on fire would be much harder to ignore...

Yeah this could be tons of fun. One thing to consider though, (its mentioned in an off-hand way in the RPS preview) apparently there are hints the game will feature tons of DLC in the guise of 'new' monsters and hunters...

To me this sounds like a potential recipe for disaster...

The problem with the internet is simple. People clamoring online, or over the phone, or twitter or whatever doesnt really hold a candle to going outside and actually you know....protesting.

No gameplay.

With that said I really liked L4D and maybe this might be a kind of spiritual sequel. I would have probably played more of it had they not chosen to release an 'expansion' as a full blown sequel which canibalised the L4D community. Was kind of dissapointed that Valve chose to go down that route...

Jesus, I hate those words. (liberal, conservative) They dont mean what they are supposed to mean anymore and most people dont seem to realize or simply dont care.

Reading a really good book ATM on the subject if you are interested by Stephen S. Wolin, Democracy Inc.

If its regulated, it isnt exactly free now is it?

That's not really what "free" means. A "free" society still has laws it must follow. Un-regulated capitalism is a disaster.

B) No they shouldn't be cutting benefits for everyone. There do, however, need to be limits for everyone however so they don't bleed everyone else dry. The needs of the many outweigh those of the few sort of thing. Life at any cost? I don't think so. That goes against the natural order of things.

So people buy insurance for these situations, then... shouldn't be able to use it?
The baby, who will grow up healthy, should die? Because natural order of things?

I assume, then, you take no medication. Cavemen didn't take medication! If they had a kidney stone they died, dammit!

Also, keep in mind that this didn't cost AOL $1 million (I don't think.) It cost their insurance company that much. A company that exists solely for this reason.

You're wrong again, as usual. People have used natural medicines for time immemorial. However, what they didn't use were machines to artificially alive when they were clearly meant to die.

And unless you're willing to have a wholly regulated society that puts people ahead of profits - and clearly you anti-socialists are not - then there will never be enough to go around. So that means tough choices and limits for everyone - except the wealthy. So the millionaires and billionaires win as usual because you don't think they should pay their share like everyone else.

"Natural medicines." So you use nothing prescription, instead you chew on tree bark from GNC?

And I do appreciate being called an anti-socialist after so many years of being called a socialist here. But, if you're criticizing someone for being anti-socialist, does that make you a full fledged socialist?

Also, it makes no sense. I say we should be willing to pay to save babies that can be saved, and that AOL is wrong to put their profits first, and that the insurance company shouldn't complain because this is why you exist, and you claim I'm putting profits first.
I literally said that, in this case, fuck profits, and you claim I'm putting profits first.

I agree with Beamer on this, he is right about this and Cutter you are really making no sense. If you paid for insurance, you sure as hell deserve to get the proper medical care. If it was your baby you wouldnt be having this conversation or making that argument.

Awesome, well this honestly was the only fucking MMORPG that I've ever given a shit about. I have loved Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim with all my heart, they were without a doubt my most favorite games ever! For some stupid, fucking ridiculous reason I was hoping this game was actually going to be good? The Elder Scrolls games are a proven formula for a game that actually works! HOW the fucking hell are these developers not able to use this to make a online game that's awesome? Please tell me, is it that much of a stretch to put this universe into an MMO successfully? Well NIN said it best and most simple; I simply haven't heard anything good about this game. Either way, I seriously believe it's going to be a very long time before I give one shit about any other MMO. Honestly, I'm heartbroken and I feel like I'm going to VOMIT. Fuck it either way, this is the last time I will ever comment on this game again. Ever.

How the hell could they not just make TES an MMO?
Because TES is something like a 60-200 hour game, and MMO players do that many hours in a month.

Given that they can't spend much more to make TES Online than they do to make Skyrim, they have to change how it's played. If you want a game you can put thousands of hours into, the formula has to change. Just stretching out TES would be a disaster, because someone would still reach the "end" within 200 hours.

Basically, you have to make MMOs suck, which is why they all suck. I'd love to see one get its replayability by being more of a micro-game. The games I play the most are the ones you repeatedly start new from.

Which is why an Ultima Online type of experience would have been perfect for a TES:MMO. Create a hardcore and dangeorous world (with maybe a few safe zones) that rewards exploring, building, tinkering, mining, crafting and simply surviving. Give control of the different guilds over to players instead of NPCs. Reward teamwork and faction loyalty. Basically create a living breathing world with all the lore of TES and populate it with players instead of NPCs.

Thats a bullshit argument and you know it. Comparing death by Satan (what?) to a PR statement from a game production company explaining the reasoning for what they are doing is beyond missing the point. The point being that they were going to do all of this shit anyway, had they kept their mouth shut or gave us some bullshit excuse none of us would have been the wiser...

No it doesnt make it ok, but at least its not some bullshit excuse. They were upfront about what they were doing which is sorely missing from what most publishers/devs consider proper PR. In my book honesty > bullshit everytime.

Destiny? Oh that MMO that Bungie is developing. How wonderful for them.

Its tough for MMOs to get legs under them. Even with a relatively good launch games tend to crap out after a year or more. So good luck with that Activision.

Like they give a shit about that. Anything past the initial sales (read Pre-orders) is just a bonus for them. Im guessing this piece of shit will make 2 Billion in the first month alone. Bungie MMO on Consoles? Ka-Ching! $$$$$

Oh its shit? Who cares...

Sort of like what happened with Diablo3 on the PC.
