OH, I don't doubt he has money. And he wouldn't be the first KS to ask for others funds instead of his own, either...

Oh absolutely. What I mean is that he may possibly try a Kickstarter, it's just one of those where I'd be like "Yeah, no. If you believe in this that much, you can fund it yourself." I'll never say that rich people shouldn't be allowed to use Kickstarter but I do think it's not necessarily within the "spirit" of it.

Who cares if they sold it for 1 million?

No need to protect consumers who cannot do a simple cost benefit on an EA title.

I payed steam sale price for this at Xmas... seems alright. It's no TA/Supcom yet though (And maybe never). But they can sell it for whatever they want as long as they let everyone know it's a WIP.

I bet they got a small number of enthusiastic community testers as well, much better than a horde of impatient demanding backseat designers.

Its one thing to sell it online to dedicated fans for 100 bucks, its another to try and pass it off on retail shelves (next to 'complete' games) at 'discounted' prices of 39,00 pounds or whatever....

Scottish Martial Artist is right on both counts. The trailer is kind of awesome, as is the plane itself.

This is bullshit. Im all for Early Access versions, but why would anyone box copies of incomplete versions of the game. and put them up for sale at retail. Reeks of douchebaggery...

Sega did well here. Also good to see that the community for this game is going strong enough for Sega to intervene and not leave them hanging. Still the best one in the series, although to be fair I enjoyed the hell out of DOW2 too (when it worked).

Best Buy Provides Pizza, Asks Employees To Contact Congress About E-Fairness Bill.

Illegal?

That was my thought, too. There's got to be a law against that.

Are you guys serious? Lobbying is LEGAL in the United States Congress and you are seriously asking if bribing your employees with pizza is legal??? MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHA...

I have mixed feelings about ED. On the one hand they make excellent simulations, on the other hand they are slow as fuck (F18?, Nevada Map?) and their forums are a Nazi moderator's paradise.

They ban forum members left and right. Just the other day a guy got banned on ED's forums for calling out a moderator on his bullshit. No trolling mind you, people were concerned about ED's PR/image problems and the moderators were just being giant dirtbags shitting all over the forum users for being "whiny and/or entitled". This guy calls out the moderator for being rude and makes a nice point about constructive criticism. Within five minutes the guy is banned, within 10 minutes his entire post history erased. Really fucking sad.

I saw some kids playing minecraft at the local park

Im trying to picture this in my head but really cant get it to work with my (limited) imagination. Were they like sitting in the sand pit and playing it on their laptops?? Worried
More like on their iPod or iPad.
This game is on every imaginable platform.
My 7 yrs old son plays this all the time. He shows me the stuff he built, and than when he gets together with his other friends they are talking about all their Mincraft stories.
I think this game is amazing to capture the young ones like this. I much rather see my kids play something like this than CoD

Its kind of sad to see that in the park though. Whats the point of going outside to play if they are basically still playing minecraft on their ipads or whatever?? Sigh...50 years from now kids wont even know what a tree looks like in real life, they will probably recognise one in a picture on their tablet of choice...

Hope they reveal another expansion at blizzcon this year...more classes, please.

More trading please. And PvP. Without these two things Diablo is dead to me There is no reason to interact with other players, none whatsoever. I find this very sad as Diablo 1 and 2 used to be great places to hang out, and shoot the shit once in a while...

I don't hate Germany, as a nation or as a people, but I do hate the fact that they have attempted to gloss over WW1, WW2, and the Holocaust in their history books and popular culture.

You are a hater and a bigot. You are also completely misinformed and just plain wrong. There is no glossing over of history in Germany, the shame all Germans feel with regards to Nazi Germany in WW2 is very real and very well represtented in both its public education system and its history books. Even Zionist Israelis acknowledge this fact.

Also get one thing straight, supporting a government in a time of war is not the same as knowing or being complicit in all of its crimes.

Ever heard of the Nuremberg trials??

By your fucking 'grudgebearing' logic, the entire world population would be at each others throats 24/7. Maybe its time I picked up a grudge against the 'nation' that invented (and used) the most destructive weapon in all of human history (the Atomic Bomb)....

...one of the few times a world war game has acknowledged a German as a human being...

A human being that had full knowledge of the fact that their government was mass-exterminating Jews, Roma, homosexuals, the handicapped, and any other group of people that didn't fit into their eugenic insanity of creating a master race? Are those the people that you are worried about as not being portrayed with "humanity" and "compassion"? There's a terribly small violin playing somewhere, but for the life of my I just can't seem to hear it over the sound of wailing in the death camps.

Wrong war there professor. You're thinking of World War II not I. A war that happened 30 years in the future. By the way how much the average German knew and how much the rank and file enlisted soldier knew is a debated topic, with lots of variations according to where they were stationed and where they lived.

The same people who fought in WWI were the people who sat by while their neighbors were rounded up in cattle cars 20 years later. This idea of portraying early 20th century Germans as anything other than the shitheads they were is historical revisionism at its best. But let's disregard the fact that these guys were the ones that developed weaponized chlorine gas to use on the battlefield, and instead romanticize history and show how this one guy didn't actually want to fight.

Guess how many French/British/Serbian etc... didn't want to fight but didn't have any choice when the Germans decided to come trotting into their countries?

You are a horribly misinformed, vitrolic, troll of a human being. How is hating an entire nation for the sins of their masters any different from how the Nazi's felt about the Jews you asshole??
